The drape and fit of Omar’s trousers and jacket looks great. For never being seen in person, the sleeves, shoulders, quarters are all impressive. Both pieces look comfortable and form complimenting w/o being too baggy or too slim. Overall the style projects sophistication and confidence. My only negative critique is with Omar’s jacket length is just a touch too long extending well beyond his 2nd knuckle, but that may have been a deliberate choice. I would love to purchase and in the future and hope more makers lean more toward the drape style. Okey is by far the best dressed style pro on RUclips!

It was excellent to see a real life example of both trousers and jacket on a customer. It was also nice that despite ordering separates, Omar combined the ensemble very elegantly and is the first guest to really give the host a run for his money as far as dress is concerned. I look forward to trying out Okey garments probably next year (once I can assemble the funds haha). Great product!

i think omar's jacket is too long. I think his pants look great. I understand that you may be going after a certain look -- but, it's just a couple inches too long, i think. i think a slightly softer shoulder might also enhance the look, but perhaps that is just what i'm accustomed to seeing.

Thank you for the comment. Omar personally prefers a longer coat, and it lends well to wearing fuller trousers. Creates one seamless silhouette.

thanks. it would be interesting to see a number of your customers - different sizes and shapes and ages and complexions -wearing your stuff. would lend credence to the claim: this drape cut is THE way to look great in a suit. Also, would be interesting to get into prices! @@AskOkeyInc

Mr. Okey, what’s the super # most of your suits/jackets are made of? I was told a super 150 is the best to go for

    • @AskOkeyInc
      @AskOkeyInc  2 года назад +2

Ciao Capo! I typically designate cloth by weight. Most English cloth is described by weight (grams per square meter or ounces).
The whole “super” thing is an Italian concept and more or less, a marketing stunt.
I generally lean more towards English cloth. Hope that helps. PROFF

      @@AskOkeyInc why do it 'online'.
bespoke is done in person all the time because of the fact that you actually need to fit the cloth on the body and that is not possible unless you either reproduce the body with some alien scanning technology or just replace it with an identical copy.
more than saving time, it is better to call it made to measure and seal the deal.
made to measure if perfect as long as measurements are taken well and the method of production is perfected.
around 20% of my wardrobe is from the rack
60% made to measure (but really to measure)
      and 20% is bespoke.

@@kanker5256 Hi Kanker, you can call it whatever you wish. But the fundamental difference between Bespoke and MTM is an “Individual Pattern”. We cut an individual and unique pattern for every single customer. And that is ONLY done for a Bespoke Garment.
The question of an in-person fitting is moot because that’s exactly what we are replacing using technology.
      I hope that helps. PROFF

it doesn't look good, it's too long, especially for an odd jacket and slightly too big, the silhouette of the torso should be felt under the silhouette of the jacket or it looks like a sack, dated without being classic. And with everything so 90's the sleeves look to short, they'd be OK on a Neapolitan jacket but with this stuffy aesthetic it looks incongruous. He'd also look better with open quarters the way the black gentleman's wearing, it'd young him up a little and make him look less unapproachable.
