That was going to be my next suggestion. UPS. I run them on all my rigs and internet. It prevents random reboots, brownouts, and drops. 900VA/1000watt Cyberpower UPS's are about 300 bucks each. With professional models are more, and of course replacement batteries cost money more too. However, it's bound to be less costly than loosing workloads. The other upshot of pure sine wave inverter type UPS is that they clean and condition the power and remove transients and spikes from the lines. Companies like EcoFlow, Tripp Lite, and APC make even bigger units that will handle far bigger machines or even an entire house. Spending money always sucks, but power in the midwest and coastal areas is notoriously unreliable. It might be worth at least throwing one or two on mission critical points and growing a system over time.

I've got my internet router, switch and all salad rigs on UPS. No downtime unless I say so. Starting to get more frequent containers now.

I went with what is now called Lumos internet. All the other providers have average downtimes of over 24-hours/year, sometimes a week. Their TOS states that there is no additional compensation for the downtime except for pro-rates refunds, and only if the customer complains about it. Lumos not only has symmetrical/asyncronous bandwidth (equal up/down vs a piddling up and large down) and also a less than 3-hour downtime per year record. So far, Lumos has been true to that statistic for me. The high up bandwidth is also great for live streaming, whereas all the others in my area, with their anemic 10 up, would choke due to the horrible up. Icing on the cake is slightly lower latency for FPS games. I do not work for Lumos. This is not investment advice, do your own goshdarn research over yonder. Even the barebones 100/100 plan they have is working out better than all the other ISPs I have ever tried that claimed to be faster and better. They were all slower and worse.

My modem and camera system are an ups my editing PC and IMac is one and salad rigs have their own UPS as well. They are all rack mounts I’ve had for years. Minuteman E1000’s
Chrome has an internet monitoring extension. We use it for a base test to make sure switches are linking up across bridges and fiber connections.

Put a big dab of hot glue one the plastic of the "wall wart" before you plug it up. It can still be pulled off but will take a good bit of effort.

Are you pertaining to an App....that has the schedule of different maintenance time of different ISP's in your current area? Coz ISP's have their own apps already....and they show there the maintenance time on when it will happen. Coz for me, I have ATT fiber...and I downloaded their ATT apps on my phone. There are cases that I can see when will there be maintenance in my area and also outage.

UPC's work if your electricity flickers and it keep your modem working and not resetting itself. 99% of my power outages are under 5 minutes. I'm looking at around $275 Cdn for each new UPC that will keep a 1000W pc up for 10 mins.

    Question about star Chef status.
The first rig I started is a star chef, or at least was?
My second rig took that status even though it hasn't been on for 50 hours.
    It has a job.
The first rig I started chopping away at lost its status.
What the heck's going on here?

Hey man, I'm occasionally seeing a Salad Status of "Chopping Indefinitely", rather than "Salad is chopping". Would this be my host catching a container you mentioned, that just keeps going?
My jobs are stabilising now. Each host making about $1.90 per day.
    Thanks

Mixed results, depending on circumstances. Some people's power costs makes the ROI never - and they complain about it - sometimes accusing the channel of describing a non-existent fantasy land with free or cheap under $0.12/kwh power. It works for some with cheaper power, but certainly not for everyone who is looking to ROI.

You would need a mb for each 3070 and you want at least 32gb of ram and I’m betting if you have fiberoptic internet and you enable bandwidth sharing you will get jobs 24/7 like i am i’m getting ready to go load a windows and start a 3070 along with a 3090 I’ve been running for 5 days straight now
