I think Linus has a much more serious electrical problem in that rack than he knows. Blown fuse on the Fiber Optic Thunderbolt repeater, network switch exploded when he nudged the wire, now this as well. I’d be checking the wiring going all the way back to the panel, sometimes they accidentally mix up the wires and put either the hot or neutral onto the ground. From what I remember the switch blew up right as his hand touched the side of the rack so I’m leaning towards something to do with the grounding.

This certainly seems like it would be worth investigating. Too many power components have failed recently, and it feels like it's starting to become a pattern rather than a coincidence. It may be nothing, but if there is something wrong, it could be anything from a small shock hazard to a full on fire hazard.

@@TehButterflyEffect water has its advantages. you will have less spikes of high temperature from a sudden increase of cpu utilization for example compared to a similarly 'speced' air cooler as water's thermal capacity allows it to absorb and move a lot of heat from the cpu even before it reaches the radiator to cool off - assuming you do not have the fans blasting 100% on your air cooler of course. (basically liquid cooling can be quieter vs same rated tdp air cooler). If you have a silent or balanced fan profile you will easily see the difference in spike temps air vs liquid. However with liquid cooling - when the cpu drops to idle from high load it takes slightly longer for the temps to fall compared to air - as the liquid is still carrying past heat...

@@luanlmd The problem is it's in his house and he doesn't want it to be noisy. And if it's air cooled you have to somehow get rid of the hot air out of the house and bring in cold air at the same time. Also air cooling would mean that he would have to use larger server chassis' for his builds since he's using regular desktop components. That's why he is water-cooling.

Same here. It was difficult to find a new case *without* a window or full glass side and *with* two 5.25" bays. I was tempted to relieve my 23 year old "Megatower 2000" case from printer stand duty and build my new PC in its cavernous interior that has a total of 12 drive bays.
My first 100% new PC build was a 300Mhz Pentuim III in that case in 2000. I was fed up with cramped mini and mid towers so I bought a server case. It was the only computer I've ever given a name.
One thing I did with it was install a powerful AC fan in the front with a relay to turn it on. I opened up the space at the bottom of the case front as much as possible, cleaned up the back side of the few vent holes there are, and cut away part of the lower side edges against the case. I cut away the punched grille in the front and opened the hole to the full, non-round shape of the fan inlet. Finished off with a baffle in the plastic front so it could only pull in outside air.
I had to keep small items away from it or they would get sucked in. 😮 It wasn't noisy because the fan was all metal, made for cooling something large, and the 110VAC motor had tons of power.

They have trouble finding clothes that fit well, they have trouble fitting in tight spaces (cars, door frames), and it's also more difficult to look buff, because their muscles are longer and it's harder to build them, so they usually look either skinny or chubby.

Everything LTT does is toward the end goal of generating content, the more complicated something is, the more potential for it to go wrong, and the more potential LTT style content they can milk out of it.. honestly im surprised people are not bored of the same formula repeated over and over at this point.... Linus "comes up with" some cool idea. The whole team works tirelessly for days to implement it. If you ever need to drill into a rack case like that, there's an old mechanics trick that always works to keep metal filings out of the sensitive areas:
Dip the bit in some petroleum jelly or automotive bearing grease, then wipe off all the excess and drill away.
The grease will trap and hold all of the filings and make the process of drilling into the metal much faster because it absorbs heat.
