This is the best version of this song ever. Solo starts at 2:40 and I can listen to it over and over. There are some details that aren't in the studio version that make this version so unique. For example pinch harmonic at 2:49. The tiny delay at 3:15, omg I get chills every time. Also when David says: "And you run and you run to catch up with the Sun...", his voice, so powerful.

+Trent Wilkshire Roger wrote all of the lyrics and came up with the concepts, especially starting with Animals and of course The Wall. By that time and on The Final Cut, Roger had remove Richard Wright from the band. He did not play on The Final Cut at all and very little on The Wall. The did however hire him to play live as a touring musician for the Wall tour. The were only 2 U.S. Shows on that tour and 1 in Canada. Not sure how many in the UK, Europe and other continents. Not many, it was such a large show th logistics of touring with it were difficult. Roger was tired of stadium shows anyway after having his security hold a man while he spit in his face in Montreal on The Animals tour. The guy was drunk and trying to climb up to the stage. But Roger should have considered it was super muggy and hot that day and the doors opened way ahead of the show starting and the stadium served beer. But finally David, Nick and Richard won the name in a several year court battle with Roger.

Their music helped me survive my teenage years and it has followed me through my life ever since. I'm nearly 60, so I'm quite sure Pink Floyd will stay with me in my remaining years, too.
I was a kid when I heard this. My old man, working on the truck as I played nearby. Today, I played it in my garage, no son of mine to hear it, but I cherish what the song has done for my life.

I first saw the Floyd in 1967 an all nighter in the old Leeds bus depot, and would you believe Cream were on the same bill. The Floyd are still the Floyd no one does it like they do. GREAT

The history of the vehicle and what it gave and accomplished. If it's just a vehicle, scrap it and throw it away. I happen to be a child with older parents, this is what I'm growing up on and infact I'm very happy about that, I've memorized every Dsotm song in pink floyds album.

It's hard to comprehend why Pink Floyd got only 51th place in Rolling Stones 100 greatest artist? Can somebody explain to me? Pink Floyd developed all the existance time. Are the rest 50 artist objectively better? I'm not sure. However for me it's the best band ever, and "Time" song is the best song of the best band which has ever performed.

Saw a comment about Richard Wright's passing. For the record regular people do die. But there are a few people that because of their achievements and the work they did over a life time to improve themselves and the lives of others that do not die. We are so lucky we can revisit our youthful Time and go back to watch these guys. It's great that the youth of today can see what the best band ever could produce and their music will live on ? But I always think what have we missed out on by them breaking up, we will never know but it would have been great?

I happen to be a child with older parents, this is what I'm growing up on and infact I'm very happy about that, I've memorized every Dsotm song in pink floyds album.
I was born in 1985 and yes,I was lucky to have been brought up with this era of music too and now my my child has been introduced too shes 9. Keep it going.

It's hard to comprehend why Pink Floyd got only 51th place in Rolling Stones 100 greatest artist? Can somebody explain to me? Pink Floyd developed all the existance time. Are the rest 50 artist objectively better? I'm not sure. However for me it's the best band ever, and "Time" song is the best song of the best band which has ever performed.

This masterpiece sounds as good as ever in 2021. This is classic music from the 20th centrury. Timeless. The good old bands. Can't even compare with the music today. Sucks that I missed that generation but thank God for technology we can see and enjoy these amazing shows.

Saw a comment about Richard Wright's passing. For the record regular people do die. But there are a few people that because of their achievements and the work they did over a life time to improve themselves and the lives of others that do not die. Their spirits become to big for their bodies and they remain here with us eternally. RICHARD WRIGHT IS ONE OF THOSE PEOPLE. My Word On This.
