had the same break down and symptoms my man, i had a leak in my fuel supply line thought that was it but no luck so i figured it must be ipr, hopefully not the hpop. your video is the only one i found with descriptive information and im ready to tackle this now, thank you!
Im having the exact same issue. Truck also died on the way to work on the freeway. I replaced the CPS and the IDM only because i got a good deal on the IDM. IPR is the next thing I'll be replacing. Your video really helps.
My 95 did that just died .. changed out the fuel pump ran good for awhile but kinda idle funny then it finally went and now I’m thinking it’s this part .. thanks for the video..
@@1186javierzuniga i drove the truck home and 20 minutes before I went to leave for work the fuel filter light was on it fell like my emergency brake was on keep trying to stall its self out i floored it and it just kept getting slower and it died not even a mile from my house
Well I hope mine is the ipr been having a “fuel starvation” issue just replaced the fuel pump drove it today and is still having issues come payday I will have to order the ipr
Thanks for this video bro. 29mm impact deep socket is the info I needed. Other videos just said "deep socket" and they are not deep enough. Cheers from San Diego.
it is possible that you can help me the problem that I have they say that the diesel line has air Because the truck turned off running I put Diesel and now it does not want to start I already changed the Ipr and the icp still not to start I already drained the batteries several times and the truck still won't start do you think you can help me I'm in Houston too .tanks
Honestly, I'm not sure that's possible. I removed the fuel bowl bc my hands are too fat to fit in tight spaces. Plus, I dont think there was any decent room to maneuver the tools I had on hand to be able to pull that one off. I've replaced my fuel bowl before so it wasnt an issue just to take off.
I was able to replace mine with the bowl still in place. My hands are slightly smaller than his, and they will get scratched up a little. It’s very tight
question, i have the same problem but i wanted to ask, i looked into the fuel bowl and noticed that the level of fuel was at about 1/4 or even less. Did you notice the same on yours? Do you have to remove the fuel bowl in order to get to the IPR?
U don't have to remove it but u might have to loosen it to get to the IPR. My fuel bowl wasn't that low, but America diesel is very dirty. I always changed out my fuel filter every time I did an oil change. Sometimes sooner. Having a lot of gunk in the tanks can create a clogged fuel filter. What year is ur truck?
@@1186javierzunigano don't crank it... just put it on acc position I do key on auxiliary no crank.. for about 15 seconds then off then repeat about 3 times and it'll start right up... But do not crank you're just filling the bowl
Is there a way i can email you a video of my truck cuz i think mine is doing the same but idk if it is something else cuz it died and seemed like it was starving for fuel but woke up this morning it started loped a little then was good

Did it make your truck throw a check engine light when it started running rough? And would it start fine and then die?
I did give me a check engine light and at first it would run ok but then it would start chugging.

Have u added diesel fuel to the fuel bowl itself???
why r there no vids on the removal of IPR on 1995 , 7.3 with the fuel bowl still intact , if it can be removed in this fashion
??

I will drop tanks and clean them
Are you located in TX?
Yessir. Houston to be exact
I’m in Alamo near McAllen
To prime the system I turn the key to on position for like 30 seconds to a minute and it fills up the bowl makes it easy
You can burn out your starter by doing that.

Was it ?
