"Hey, you. You're finally awake."
I have no idea how many times I’ve watched this demo but you definitely have the best demos for these plug-ins.
This software is really top quality. I’m very happy with this. Will keep buying your amp software from here on out
Nice demo's of the Mesa Boogie. Have to agree, I love the fact that these are endorsed by the brands. This absolutely speaks volumes and has been why AmpliTube has been my favorite for many years. My personal favourite is the new Leslie 147. They all sound so cool, but these just win me. Thanks for this share.
dude i LOVE your set. The desktop, screen monitor, angled speakers... just so awesome
Love Amplitube 4, amazing tones 😊 especially the Mesa plugins
this dude is straight out of skyrim
Dobakin ... Dobakin... XD
No i think its called Rågsved
😂😂😂
I used to be an adventurer like you..
Ola used to be an adventurer like you... Then he took an arrow in the knee...
That plug-in is awesome! The best cabinet imulation I've ever heard! You are really cool guys!
Love your videos and demos.
Ola you're the greatest, we luv ya.
Amplitube rules.🤘
6:50 took me decades to admit that LESS distortion is often your best bet when trying for a chunky and well-defined rhythm. Too distorted and your muting sound messy and you still hear all that noise between chunks if you listen closely. There's got to be some sweet spot for each style and for solos, etc. That sound w/level all the way up is far too distorted to "sound" good. You'd have to do some serious FFT noise reduction and gating to clean that up. thx for the review.
true. With a real rig it feels natural to set dist on max and then chug the hell out, but in VSTs you must set it to a reasonable level and compensate with right hand. Started using pluggins only now and realised that it requests a very different right hand technique in order not to swim in noise and unwanted harmonics
Excellent video! This is exactly the kind of demo I was looking for! Thanks so much!
Awesome. Just got mine started. Purely amazing the sounds on the amp and the effects would cost so much more. And with this can get any sound that I want skies the limit.
Great demo Ola !
Awesome demo!
Brilliant choice of Pantera's song Floods at 15:19, for that lead sound you carved out!
Just bought the max package. Was on sale and absolutely love this product
just bought the max package too!
SUPERB demonstration
The interface is AMAZING!!! zero noise!
Wow it really sounds fantastic...nice demo too!
I have amplitude but haven't used it much since I purchased it last year. This video makes me want to use it now! ;)
Downloading AmpliTube 4 now as soon as i heard the sounds you got out of the boogie patches haha
Perfect demo thanks
Thx Ola love your gear videos
Great review! Can i ask what your workstation table is called?
Nothing better than drop D. Nice demo!
I'm a Big Mess Boogie fan too. I had bought a brand new Mesa Boogie Triple Rectifier omg it was great. I had to sell it. Had to move and relocate. Bills etc. I'll buy another one Someday. Good video buddy 😎👍👌💯🎸🎸
Thanks buddy that got me started in the right direction! Peace!
can you share the connection setup from guitar output to sound output? Thanks
GReat tutorial!
Bravo Ola!
Extremely helpful
Can you say anything about sound quality on ipad version vs desktop version? ( given, one use same soundcard, and external equipment?
Loved you in the Smurfs 2 movie, Ooh La La!
great video, thanks
Ola, can this be used with the IK MM AXE I/O ? Do you have a demo of the IK MM AXE I/O Yet ? Didn't see one. Thanks. I think the IK Mesa stuff sounds great on your demo.
Thanks for this!!
Does ANYONE use Amplitude 4 in studio one 3.5 with a foot controller to change presets, stomps etc. if so, which fboard works best and how did u route it. thanx
Very good review
doubt you will read this , but thanks alot for the vid. Just got the total studio max bundle and this have helped get that heavier sound!!
funking awesome they do it!
Hey man as far as the compressors I really enjoy the compressors that I purchased from amplitude T-Rex and the ones that come with Logic Pro. If I used the amplitude Mesa boogie amps and then on the post I want to use the logic compressors or the T-Rex compressors would I use those best as the second below the amplitude plugin for example what I first open up apple tube on channel one let's say on logic and then open up a second effects and you open the compressors? Because if I open first the compressors on the signal chain then with that compress amplitude after I open amplitude or does it matter how your effects chain is on Logic Pro? I know it's not a confusing but I hope it made some sense would appreciate an answer thank you.
I love Ola.
Hi Ola, i want to buy Irig pro duo, what can you say about it? This is a good audio interface, better than Focusrite scarlett 2i2? Thank You!
Oh wow! I thought you had predels on already and then you just said I'll add overdrive and seen no extra effects and the amp sounds dope!
Same!
Lonestar would be really nice addition too.
the best digital amp plug in so far.
Impressive. The Mesa Boogie and ENGL amps can really match the real things... This is a great advantage for musicians
mix n match different cab speakers within 1 cab? and mics?
Sim-amps are getting amazing nowadays.
I gotta get this, I'm a M-Boogie nut,
not so much rectifiers, but the 3c+.
I'm working on a entire album in the box on the most recent iPad.
Memory, go for the max so you don't bottom out.
SLAMSTERDAMN
I hear ya! I just got the 12.9” Pro with 512 GB. Which DAW are you using? I got Auria Pro, which seems to be pretty capable.
Hello all.
I have an amplitube from mesa boogie on ipad air, I also have a JBL LSR 305 listening monitor, but I do not have such treasures as HERE! What was used here, etc? I would like to have a similar one! :)
Hi Ola and community, am I missing something? I am not getting the sound that Ola is producing in this video. I am using a Win10 PC = 8Core Processor, SSD=500Gb, 12gb memory, 3 monitors, DAW=REAPER and using a Steinburg UR22 with standalone power or usb (type-c). Using a BC Rich ($399) with standard pickups. Your thoughts
Great ....sorry which speakers are connected to the audio interface ?
Is that sound just coming out from your PC speakers or are you using some external cabinet? I'm thinking of buying Amplitude but don't know how to get started as i just have a laptop!
nice ....but can u show us how to install the presets in a imac...thks
Thank you.
I've got everything for Amplitube 4. Every amp, cab, pedal, mic...everything. What I want...what I NEED...is a Diezel amp pack. Make it happen, IK!
Diezel pack! or at least more Engl amps, Invader II would be amazing.
That would be great and better and more options w/ noise gates
get the real amp dude this shit nothing compared to the amp dont waste your time
Stop living in the past, this is the future in terms of flexibility, wake up.@@TrebleMidBass
is it worth getting? is all this stuff free or do you get a starter pack and then have to pay for the extra?
How do you print an amp sim onto an audio track in Cubase ?
Been using Amplitube since 2003. Blew my mind then, blows my mind now. LINE6 doesn't even come close. The ZOOM G3 pedals are comparable and overall they have better stomps and fx but the amp models aren't as good as IK's.
What's the latency like using a Zoom pedal as the interace for Amplitube? I've got a Zoom H6 recorder/interface and I've tried it as an interface for Amplitube using Zoom's ASIO driver but the latency just feels too high. The H6 doesn't have a Hi-Z input so I'm not sure if that's the problem but I don't see how that would have an effect on the latency - just maybe the quality of the guitar signal captured as I am getting a decent input level even using a passive pickup guitar (the H6 instructions say only active pickup guitars don't need a Hi-Z input and are thus officially comptaible for the H6).
I bought the H6 for other reasons so being able to use it for Amplitube would've been a bonus but it's clear I need something else. I'm now considering either a Zoom G5n or an IK Axe I/O. Main use would just be practicing at home, maybe recording some ideas. I'm a drummer of over 10 years but a very recent guitarist so have so much to learn and play with, also where I live I can't crank up amp volume too often and I don't think I'm ready to invest in expensive tube amps and a loadbox for quieter/headphone playing yet so using something like Amplitube would let me experiment with all sorts of effects and amp types at home volumes. The Zoom pedal seems more versatile, has the expression pedal built in and can be used standalone. But if it has the same USB audio interface tech as my H6 I'm concerned I may still have the latency issue. Whereas IK make the actual software their interfaces work with so I'm guessing they've got the latency thing down.
I absolutely LOVE my amplitube 4. not just the incredible amps/cabs etc. and how great they sound, but I love the 'store' and the "try" options etc. My only complaint is no foot switch pedals and foot control wah/volume pedals. If they'd have that avail. for windows. I would never use anything else ever again.. But other than that, I can't say enough about how great Amplitube is.. So easy, takes up so space whatsoever like my big amps. I travel a lot, so this is always w/ me in my laptop/interface.. I play in my hotels, etc..
Get the IK Stomp I/O- 4 switches plus an expression pedal.
@@geauxtime yeah the dropped put that out not long after I made that comment. talk about timing..
good stuff
It does sound amazing how much is the mesa boogie amps , do you buy each amp separately or do they come in a package.
You can buy the collection and use inside AmpliTube (even the free CS version). It is on sale currently for a couple more days, so you may want to get it soon. www.ikmultimedia.com/products/mesa/ for full information
Hi Ola... any recommendations for a guitar interface to hook up to an iPad to use Aplitude or Bias fx for ipad ? Thanks
I used to use an Apogee Jam 96k and it worked fine, but now I have the IK Stomp I/O and I love it.
Hey there - So do you actually use a physical AMP ? Or do you just plug the device into some random speakers/headphones?
If you use an extra AMP i guess all the effects on the AMP itself are turned off and you just pump up the volume? Does anybody know?
This is output directly from the audio interface. You can send your audio interface like iRig Stomp I/O output to an amp but the best results would be with a full-range powered speaker, mixer/PA, or similar for live use or to studio monitors in a home studio setting.
how about how to make your saved preset as default.
Say I have some pedals in front of my interface. I have a lyndhurst, a variable attack od, and a palladium. What I do now is use poulin amps plug in and pulse cabs plug in, just using the CLEAN channel of the amps they have to push my original signal, and I get pretty decent results. Do you guys think these amps would be optimal for that kind of thing? Any tips would be great!
I also use Celestion's V30 2x12 impulse on the pulse plug in, usually with an sm57 on Fat or Dark2
Did you have to purchase all the Mesa boogie packs after buying the software? Mine doesn't seem to have them and wants me to buy it
AmpliTube MESA/Boogie is a collection available for purchase. You don't need AmpliTube 4 to run it, you can run it even in the free AmpliTube 4 CS.
Very cool
Do you need Amplitube 4 in order to just get the mesa boogie pack? Because on the website I can get this separate, correct?
The MESA/Boogie Collection runs in AmpliTube 4 (even the free version)
Does it work with a kazoo
If you got an Kazoo with USB you're good to go.
What pickups is he using. I can't get my stock 88 Les Paul custom to sound like that. Does it have something to do with settings in Logic?
He uses his own brand guitars with Seymour Duncans that are only available in those guitars. So good luck getting your LP to sound like that
duuudeee~~what type of camera and lens do you use ?
hi ola!! maybe you'll show us how to install properlly this thing? and if i have already an amplitube 4 custom shop can i play thru it or i need amplitube4 at first? thanx.
You can use AmpliTube 4 Custom Shop - you can even try and buy the MESA/Boogie models from Custom Shop.
Can you access the Leslie cabs in Amplitube 4 for MacOS? (..and if so, control them w an iRig Stomp io?)
Yes you can get AmpliTube Leslie in AmpliTube 4 for Mac.
How does he get that tone i do the same with my amplitube 4 and i get poop for sound sometimes i can't even use the mesa boogie pack because it's horrible
Many times it is interface settings / gain staging. I would recommend reporting your issues to IK Support at www.ikmultimedia.com/contact-support and they can surely assist you in getting the best possible tones from AmpliTube 4. Also, there are thousands of users on the IK Forum at www.ikmultimedia.com/forum that may have some suggestions too.
Brit 8000 with the vintage closed back/Orange cab brit anniversary 3 and the greenback sm 57 and 421 in a booth with a OCD. And reverb and delay in the pre and 10 band eq in the post with a 4k cut out by 3 db and high pass the 40-80hz and tube compressor....Done!!
Holy shit it sounds sooo good :O
Ola, please review new Aplitube 5. Thanks!
great video! but how did you get it to sound so clear?? I just downloaded it and it;s awful... makes a loud high pitched squeal the entire time I use it, even on clean channels.
Sounds like you may have an open loop in your input and output. If you are using an audio interface, please make sure you are plugged into its Instrument/Hi-Z input and that you have input and output levels on your interface (and in AmpliTube) set at levels where the level is strong but not going into the red (clipping). If you still have problems, our support staff are happy to help you directly at www.ikmultimedia.com/contact-support Thank you.
I got amplitube 4 the other day and using it via an irig2 hd. It’s sounding really really muddy and fizzy. What am I doing wrong? I’ve got it running on my laptop through windows and downloaded the asio4all driver. I’m using the audio Technica ath-50x headphones which seem highly recommended for this program. I tried out the triple rectifier and it’s still really muddy. I can’t get anything to sound like what I’m seeing or hearing on RUclips, and I’m reluctant to purchase any more items as I’ve been trying a lot of the other gear and just aren’t seeing any improvements. I’m seeing people say to bypass the cabinet and use IR’s but I have no idea what that means
Hi, this is not normal behavior, please contact our Support Team at www.ikmultimedia.com/contact-support/.
Was the audio captured direct or is it coming from the studio monitors? an amp? it sounds way more awesome than the IK Multimedia demo-videos/sounds
Directly from iRig Stomp I/O's audio outputs.
Is there a drum track you can drop in this program and record guitar over it?
While we do have SampleTank 4 which offers some great drum sounds to use inside the AmpliTube 4 program's DAW section, we recently announced MODO DRUM. Check it out when you can, this new tool for creating realistic drum performances may be exactly what you need.
www.ikmultimedia.com/products/mododrum/
Can you use a focusrite audio interface with amplitude 4?
Definitely!
very clear and useful demo! I have a doubt, i hope someone can answer, I see the noise supressor set practically OFF and there is not any noise when Ola doesn't play their guitar, this is due the interface that he use?? or maybe there is something more between the guitar and interface?
Watch beginning, he said he is using the iRig Pro Duo for his interface.
Is there any kind of overdrive/distorsion specific for bass?
Mac/PC - There are dedicated Ampeg FX which are great for bass.
iOS - I wouldn't say there are 'dedicated' bass FX at this time. Really just amps, but there are some general FX which could be used for any instrument. You can check out AmpliTube CS for free now to see what options we offer: www.ikmultimedia.com/products/amplitubecs/
Are you plugged in an amp then into your DI box into the computer for this sound ?
no he explains what he's using it's just a iRig. Any external sound card would do a good job enough. The amp is what you get with Amplitube
Amplitude metal is free on the amplitude site from now till July 15th
Yes! www.ikmultimedia.com/news/?id=atmetalfree
TA-Firty? I'm IN!
Hey look it's the only guy who can sing legit Bon Scott vox on youtube 👏
Do you need the iRig connection to make this work? Could I just use my ZoomR16 to USB and connect it that way?
AmpliTube 4 works with any standard audio interface that has an Instrument/Hi-Z input.
@@ikmultimedia thank you. I'm new to DAW connections and plugins.
I wish IK Multimedia releases some Randall, Diezel, Peavey amps and the Marshall JVM410H and YJM100 pack please :(
They have a Randall or two as well as Peavey. They're not called that, they're Amplitube based off those.
Ola how do u get amplitude to sound so good! I have a Behringer interface 202HD with a SG400 and AKG 25 headphones. Idk why mine sounds so bad... Can anyone help?!
What speakers have you got ? You need good studio monitors tbh . Also, Place an overdrive in the chain over any amp to add a little brightness, followed by a noise gate.
@@matthewpike3026 Yep, everything sounds better to me with the Tube Screamer. I put my noise gate first in line though (or wah).
what are the chord at 3:13 ??
Hey something wrong my gutars dont sound like w/ Amp4 his has definition im getting Aliasing in the tone . Whats up? Using steingberg and/or focusrite Audio interface. Ola what P/Uor ax you using interface here?
whats your computer? :-( thanks
That is not the typical experience when using a proper audio interface like you mention. Please contact our support team at www.ikmultimedia.com/contact-support and they will assist you directly to get you all set. Thanks
Thanks for the indepth look at this software!
Im currently testing out amplitube free, which is cool and all but I get terrible hissing and whatnot.. Im using a jack straight into mic input on my pc I assume this isnt ideal... any ideas? Should I grab one of these interface things?
Yes, it would be best to use a proper audio interface. We have some at www.ikmultimedia.com/interfaces and you can use any that have an instrument/Hi-Z input. Thanks!
@@ikmultimedia Thanks for the reply! Ive been using the free version everyday it's brilliant, I've owned fender amps, marshall stacks and was lucky enough to once play on a dual rectifier mesa boogie and this plugin sounds lifelike.
Obviously I'm limited to the brit sounds that come with the free version but hearing this video through my headphones really gets me going haha!
Maybe after christmas I'll treat myself to the full plugin and one of these interfaces, thanks again!
Replying to this in case anyone is following in my footsteps, get yourself an interface! I went for a focusrite solo 3rd gen, makes the world of difference, Im sure the ikmultimedia interfaces are just as good!
If you have a guitar for lets say 200-300€, and use this vst-plugin. Do you get great sounds? How much does the guitar matter if you think about the quality of the sound?
I would say amp is 80% of your sound and the guitar around 20%.
best vst
Did I hear a hint of Floods @ 15:37?
this is not the free version, right? What is in the free version?
You can find out what's in the free version - AmpliTube CS - at www.amplitube.com/cs
i just bought amplitube 4 with the custom shop stuff i love it...i just cant buy anything for some reason
I want amplitude now!!!
www.amplitube.com/4 :)
It would be cool if you could get Strymon to partner with you!
Thanks for the suggestion!
Good day, I get the same quality using the Irig hd 2?
I'd really love to have Mesa MIIC+ Head in Amplitube 4.
Is there any chance that someone knows why do I hear a clean signal too from amplitube 4 when opening it in pro tools 12? The amplitube 4 app works just fine when I open it up from it's launcher, it only does this when in pro tools. Anybody any suggestions to fix the problem?
Sounds like you might have your direct monitoring on for the track on which you are using AmpliTUbe (or on your interface).
@@ikmultimedia well I'm sure it's off on the interface, but how do I turn it off in the track then? It might possible that that is the issue
how do I use Amplitube 4 in Garageband?
You can use AmpliTube as an insert effect on an audio track in GarageBand
This sounds Great! Which is simpler and less buggy Amplitube or Positive Grid?
Thank you suchdoge!
