- Is Nicolo Barella Coming To Newcastle United? Reports have suggested the 26 year old Italian midfielder Nicole Barella could be joining Newcastle United for around £50m - several news outlets are reporting the link and it would be a huge coup for NUFC if they were to sign him.

not even trying to be mean. but...no. he's a boyhood inter fan, he's one of the best midfielders in the world, he's happy at inter....all things considered, 50 mil? no chance. it's fodder, it's also false.
@@cael8948 on the flip-side ... Inter are in deep financial doo-doo and need to generate cash (if they don't want to default on their €270m+ loan), so it's a genuine possibility
The only thing which makes me think it might be true is that Inter are in financial trouble & need money. £50m is a lot for the Italian league & sounds about right to start with. I don't seeing it being more than £60m, no elite club has tried to get him before.
@jamesmccarthy6764 no. Inter have a bunch of stuff about to go to market or already has been. Barella purchase will likely only be entertained at an outrageous fee, he's happy at Inter and Inter are happy with him.

Absolutely he would be an amazing signing. And it’s not just about doing well in the CL it’s about getting in the top four again. The ‘they’ve over performed’ carries with it the implication we slip back to our default position outside the top four. And there’s some of this in the media. This signing would say we’re here to stay we intend not to qualify for the CL on a one off or occasional basis we’re here to be an established CL side. And as you say on the FFP spending limits the owners know what they’re doing. HTL.
We’ll see, it could run on and on this one but let’s hope there’s some truth in it. It’s be massive and I agree it’s all about top 4 again next season and requalifying

This first came from a very sketchy news source, after which the Italian news caught wind of it and reported it which then caused sky news and others to report on it.
Then an hour later from another sketchy news source, they reported that no plans had been made by the player or team and that the players agent has not spoken to Newcastle at all.
The news source was the Telegraph, I wouldn’t call that ‘sketchy’ at least not on football, politics is a different matter.
@@davedraycott5779 I get told all the time by my friends that they are super sketchy and often have no evidence for the things they put out. But still, more trust worthy than the other who was the same site that said Sven Botmon agreed a 4 year deal with AC Milan.
