Those four screws shown at 1:20 are very hard to prevent dropping out of your socket and disappearing in the void below. Stuff a rag in the space under the screws so if /when they drop down the rag catches them and you can get them back.
Or use a handy dandy retractable magnet!

Luckily found this video with the same stereo as the one I order. Thanks for putting the part numbers! Definitely helped me find a double din kit that fits the same stereo. First one I was centimeters too small lengthwise.

@@frankysolis5507 that's a very broad question. Are you talking about connecting the harness? Depending on your deck kit you may need a harness adapter for your car. What do you mean by what interface?
you covered this, but I want to emphasize one point where *before I saw your video) I broke a piece. When removing the top cover - the one that runs from the a/c to the dashboard - at the dashboard, the far end nearest the windshield - pull BACK toward you, NOT up. I pulled up and broke the front corner of the cover piece. Thanks again for your great video.

You don't explain how to replace and join wire by wire of the same color, you skip many important steps just to make the video shorter.
THat's interesting you mention that because at the start of this very video I said you can view my others video on how to join the wires together.
THere is a little sense in making 2 videos of the same thing.

I've got all this white stuff down by my driving foot inside the middle dash under where the radio is. It's crumbling now after so many years but I'm not sure what it is. Salt build up? From my boots during the winter? Idk because it seemed pretty formed and like it's falling apart. What do you think it is. Is it toxic? I tried vacuuming it al up but its a lot.
Put it into a food blender, turn it into a fine powder, then you might be able to make some profit from it down a dark alley at night time

I have a 2006 vue and I don’t necessarily need to install a harness but instead can just install it directly to the car right? I’m gonna keep the car forever and won’t need to change or swap the radio in the future
Yes, no problem at all!
Adapters are good if you get a new owner, it saves them trouble.

It works great to be honest! I didn't have high hopes, but it's lasted since I uploaded this video. It's still being used today
I'm getting a 2005 model, I havnt seen it in person yet and its from family and somewhat complicated to find things out, would this work on my model?

It's not too much different.
To be honest, looking at the interior of your Saturn Vue, just follow the video along, I think it'll be pretty obvious from there
I DID THE INSTALL TODAY JUST LIKE YOU SAID I HAD ALL THE PARTS AND WIRED IT CORRECT AND GOT NO SOUND. THEN I RAN THE AMP WIRE TO BLUE AUTO ANTENNA WIRE IN CASE IT HAS A FACTORY AMP! STILL NO SOUND WHAT GIVES
What gives? Probably faulty stereo! lol
