Days of Wine and Roses The team investigate the murder of a young model at an expensive rehab center and Lisbon continues looking into Tom Volker's activities.
@@nethmisahajeewa2304 All you kids thinking robbing banks is so grownup. Back in my days we didn't have banks to rob. We had to hide along highways and rob a passing carriage before our parents would let us have dinner.
I LOVED THIS SCENE. It was just so perfect. I mean, whether or not this was a plan in which Lisbon was actually involved doesn't matter. Jane was fake crying over his dad. And the bank robberies xD. And the last moment. It was just... ugh. Oh, and yes, the moment in which Lisbon literally begs for Jane to talk and only then will he give in. I don't care if that was all thought through by them. It was adorable.
Is anyone else on here gonna bring up the fact that Jane's goofy childhood recollection was most likely a repackaged truth? Jane's father *did* teach him to steal, and essentially threatened abandonment if Jane didn't agree to escalate the type of theft he was good at, i.e. chicanery. I doubt Jane ever robbed houses or banks, but the pickpocketing may very well have been true, and the escalation to appease a parent certainly was. I think his conning started as an attempt to connect with the outside world he felt cut off from--to give joy and catharsis, to be admired--and his father made it worse by anchoring it to Patrick's sense of survival. Jane hid the truth inside a lie, and sold it as the truth. That is quite the feat of recycling.
@@lasagnewolf he definitely can/has, but in regards to who taught him and how/why he started in the first place I'm not sure. But it wouldn't surprise me if that was his dad's fault, and for his own benefit.
@@tabithaprovan957 I'm pretty positive his dad taught him mainly for their whole carnival act as the psychic boy wonder, and stealing stuff was probably another reason as Alex(Jane's father) was said to be a wicked con-man as seem by roping Jane into tricking a dying girl and her grandmother out of a lot of money and getting majorly upset when Jane refused.
He does it quite a bit. Especially when someone tries to get under his skin by "calling out" his depression or assholery, or when they poke the soft spot of his wife and child. He will always brush it off, acknowledge their attempt to their face, or play into the expected insult/sadness they want until he maneuvers them right where he wants them. Not only are the best lies partially truth, but he exposes his weak spots before you can, thus taking your power
At 2:52 I can see a slight shift in her eyes where she realises this is all a con. I love how she could always see through him when he put on the emotional acts.
Man I love the Mentalist. Even when you think it’s the real deal, they’re all acting, and you don’t know if they planned it all out ahead of time or if they’re just that good.
the thing though, is jane is being honest about everything he's saying. he did learn to pickpocket from his father. and yeah, he probably is subconsciously still pleasing him.
You take what you don't have or you enjoy the rush of doing something you are not supposed to. The poor steal because they want something... the better off (rich) steal because they think they can get away with it, but it also gives a rush. The rich also don't normally steal anything that they couldn't pay back if they do get caught so it is "safe" crime for them.
you know the whole meme of "take screenshots of every frame and drop them into a powerpoint presentation" was a joke right? you can just do a screen capture.
i love how he told them he robbed some banks and they just ignored it.
RandomAsshole who hasn't i mean come on we all did it once or twice when we're young

That’s why Jane loved his team lol the were phenomenal actors to all his schemes lol. Cho was the best.
No business like Cho business
Cho is the perfect straight man for any scheme.
Sometimes it's like Lisbon is Jane's mom (worry and scolding aspect) and Cho, kind of a dad. xD
Lol
Chobani
Yes.
Nice observation
"Put it back"
"Shh"
That is one of the funniest Mentalist secene ever. I laughed so hard. How Lisbon manages to keep a straight face is beyond me :D

The facts Lisbon and Cho and the others always participated in Jane’s foolery and games always made it that much better 😂😭🤣🤦🏿♂️

He said before, the trick to a con is one big lie, and then keep everything else the same.
He definitely pickpocketed before, there's pretty good evidence in the show.

I definitely think Lisbon knew about the plan, she sounded like a concerned wife in the beginning.
Lisbon looks like she's about to laugh
then he says that she is a bad liar!!!!! she did amazing!
Yeah my thoughts exactly!
yes, but it was not a serious lie, I think without the heavy of the meaning for her it's easier.
I like how Cho never cracks a smile.
Amazing how he manipulated the doctor by letting him think that he's in the control of the situation.
"Oh woa woa woa watch the suit" this is why he's the best man in my opinion
Lisbon face is like "He's planning something... do i wanna know?". Lol.
At 2:52 I can see a slight shift in her eyes where she realises this is all a con. I love how she could always see through him when he put on the emotional acts.
She knew from the start, which is why she played into "he's had this issue vefire/we've talked about it" at the beginning
Jane runs his game. Clever series, writing, characters, an ensemble effort. Sort of reminds me of politics in the wider sense. :)
It's called EVIDENCE, CHO!
Troll level : Patrick Jane
the actor playing the therapist was in better call saul playing a lawyer. he makes the same little hmmm
Roger Bharath he was also in House md. He had sex with his son’s girlfriend
Good observation
He was also in Person of Interest as one of the victims, gets Polonium poisoning.
Great actor. No idea who is he is, but he's pretty fantastic.
He was also a murderous therapist/psychiatrist in an episode of Monk.
Cockley and scheikwart idk how to spell
that was Hilarious 'Bank Robberies' xD & Lisbon's face lol
Always liked this episode, it's one of the best ones

if Jane REALLY wanted to take something are we supposed to believe that ANYONE on the team would actually catch him in the act?

He looks so cute when he says shhhhh :)
lisbon's holding back laughter
Can't stop laughing!!!
Patrick Jane is such a big child, a prankster, and a trickster. I wonder if Simon Baker is like that in real life. He seems very likeable.
Also, Jane himself is new age BS that messes with heads 😉

When you play an FPS at 10 Frames Per Sec
what was jane planning?
