Jane trusted and felt safe with Lisbon from the day he met her. It wasn't from their first interaction but their second one after Hannigan punched him Jane didn't really look at her the first time as he was only interested in seeing the RJ files but as she helped him back on to his feet and put her arm around him he had his most important life changing I see who you are moment. In that instant he saw all her qualities, warmth, honesty, empathy, compassion, integrity, loyalty, courage and a determined steely inner strength. He was broken and at his lowest point but he knew she was his guardian, his salvation she would look after him . She never looked down on him, believed in him when no one else did and in two days she got him to smile again. She alone saw his potential when even he didn't see it, she gave him the strength to believe in himself, she gave him a reason to live rather than just existing to kill RJ. He started to heal the day he met her ,she achieved more in two days than Sophie Miller did in 6 months just by being herself. And from day one he had the utmost respect and the highest regard for her no one else would ever come close. In return she had his eternall gratitude , his complete trust, loyalty and unwavering devotionand and on top of all that he was physically attracted to her as well. Lisbon had Jane hooked from day one, her wish would always be his command, he was and always would be all hers and she didn't even know it, not a clue.

Agree except Lisbon vs Sophie comparison.
Lisbon would have no means to help broken Jane.
Why to compare apples to oranges?

Thanks for making edits of this show, I love them all!! It'd be interesting to do one of all the times Lisbon managed to read Jane. Like when she can tell he's lying, there's the opening scene in S3, and then another one during the eileen turner episode where she observed that he 'reacted' to the news, then the one where she reads that he was trying to save her while she was under review of the PSU etc.

My pleasure! Jane and Lisbon have a great story! She actually read him quite a few times. Even regarding Lorelei. She knew he broke her out of prison, but he still denied it. ☺

I love how much they trusted each other. Lisbon would trust Jane with her life and the other way around and Jane even let her in to his Red John investigation later on, when he entrusted no one else with it.
I just love how they grew to love and trust each other over the seasons

    • @eddisonfoncette9103

@@five-peace Lisbon trusted Jane with her life but she didn't trust him with her heart because he was deceptive, secretive, would disappear and worst of all shut her out of his life. She didn't realise he loved her and did these things to protect her. And he didn't realise she loved him and the devasting impact of his well intentioned behaviour had on her, especially when he shut her out that absolutely destroyed her . He was weakness so in order to protect herself she went into denial and eventually forced him to tell her what he really felt about her. She subconsciously patiently and at times painfully played the long game but she got what wanted, him and on her terms.

Something important about trust, to me, is that you should trust someone enough to trust them to lie to you. As in, you know that even if they're lying, they're lying for a good cause.

Jane eats an apple to show he is controlling, intelligent and not to be taken at his word.
Lisbon eats a strawberry to show she is open, passionate, focused and confident.
Thats why Jane can trust her and she cant trust Jane right away.

I love it when Rigsby's American accent slips, and you hear just a trace of his Welsh brogue come out. Reminds me of what a great actor Owain Yeoman is, which is nice since his talent is so often wasted here. I do enjoy the show -- it's a great procedural -- but the writers gave him dialogue that made him out to be the stereotypical sweet, but dopey galoot, and it doesn't really suit him. He deserved better.

@prataprajat4231 He's referring to the scenes chosen for this edit when Jane so nonchalantly declares his intentions for Red John to Lisbon. I remember them well as I agree it was a very intriguing acting choice to have him saying it in a joking/cheerful way. The sarcasm enhances the chilling reality of how much hatred he has and Lisbon stands firm during the conversation I would have been shaken if he said that to me in that way.

    • @keleziz76
      @keleziz76  2 месяца назад +2

@@jonahmudlaff6576 I found that interesting also (how Jane said it with such cheeriness). I actually wonder why they changed it. The scene where it happens is still up close and personal, but it's not what had been stated in Season 1. Anybody else think it would have been justified if it had happened the way it was declared in S1?

Actually, Jane’s desire for intense revenge is what is conventional. It’s a very modern idea to recommend against personal vendetta and leave it to the courts of law. Look around the world and see what happens in vendetta cultures. I believe a little wary of a partner who felt the permission to say such an insulting thing about the other person’s character rather than admit his own feelings of helplessness and grief. One thing he didn’t follow through on was cutting up Redjon into little pieces. The death was less dramatic than that and less dramatic that it would’ve been in real life.

What I really appreciate is that the actor who plays Jane is Australian, and one of the detectives (I don’t know his character’s name) is a Brit, way to go, mates!

I thought you'd stop the clip around the first edit and say "Ha! Here! Did you see that??" But no, you kept trying to prove a point that was already proved wrong. He threw the apple to see if she would look. Is she looks away from him, she lied and she does trust him. If she keeps eye-contact she doesn't.
