Anyways, I'm back with this compilation of everyone in The Mentalist noticing (read: shipping) Jane and Lisbon. She likes him. He likes her. Everyone knows. Except them..
also known as everyone can see it trope. Seasons 1-7 so spoilers ahead. Enjoy. :)

The reason that Cho didn’t know was because he was too busy dealing with the Rigsby/Van Pelt saga. He only had time for one relationship saga at a time, 😂😂😂.
I lost my crap when he said "don't talk to me about van pelt"--and Rigsby, without pausing for a breath, continued to talk about van pelt

I always loved when Red John had painted the victims blood on Teresa's face while she was unconscious, and how Jane was beside himself with such concern for her and trying to find water, and then how he tenderly cleaned her face off. That was such a show of deep love.

Or when he was nearly drowned by a suspect and Lisbon didn't get there until the perp was gone and Jane was floating face down in the water (s4 ep10). How frantic she was when she thought he was dead... That was also a show of deep love, and she didn't even really consciously realize it yet...
Six seasons' worth of subtext, implications, build up, tension, slow burn was so worth it 😫😫
watching this and realizing the actor acting as the dude lisbon was with and almost moved to washington together was pedro pascal...was a trip 😂

I think they figured it out at some point, but the time was never right, especially because they both knew he couldn't let someone into his heart before he gets his revenge, that's why it all took so damn long.

For me, they were meant to be together from the very first season! Only Lisbon could soothe the tormented soul of Patrick after what he had gone through during the Red John period. Besides all the wittiness and intellect, he always yearned for companionship, and Teresa stood with him like a rock-solid wall through all the ups and downs. Undoubtedly, they are my favorite on-screen couple...I would have been devastated if there wasn't a happy ending to The Mentalist. 😁

i only wish it could have happened much sooner and they had never canceld this show I came very late to it but I adore this show more than any i have ever watched--to me they are soul mates...The looks, the deep feeling from within make them so special.---.intimacy we see in a very special way.--actually very romantic...he loves to make her happy....xoxo
I always say: never seen a show with a more respectfull ending for the fans. Writers gave us everything we wanted (except more episodes LOL).

@@josiahtaylor7967Nah. I read the article once from the writers. They wanting to be platonically at first. That change around writing 6th season if I remember correctly and main actor Simon Baker wanted to Jane to be a dragic character with no happy ending 😔

Everybody knew and I think Jane and Lisbon did too, just tried to fight it.
Jane would never go for it. It only became an actual possibility after RJ was dead. Before, it would have simply put a gigantic bullseye on Lisbon's back.
RJ even abducted her, but as a colleague. He knew Lisbon was important to Jane, but not how much. He only saw them live once, literally in the (spoiler alert) 2nd episode, so very early in their friendship.
Even then, in the pilot episode you see that Jane is warming up to Lisbon and is trying to show he cares. He knows he is not behaving like a normal person and tries to make himself be understood. As someone else said, one of Jane's love languages is gifts and the first thing he gifts is a frog to Lisbon, to make her laugh.
When you say about the gift love language I can only remember the ponei 😂
I have to say the mentalist has become my all time favourite series i ever watched.. the more devastated i am after finishing this masterpiece yesterday.. i'm so sad it's over :(

Yes me too. Went thru a phase for most of the seasons, particularly after Season 3, wanting to play her sister or cousin or something! We were bobsie twinning, for awhile, on the hair! I had it first lol & she copycatted me 🤪🤣💇🤗🍀

Yeah, I was going to be pissed if they didn't get together. So happy the writers madenit happen and the way the show ended was beautiful.
Abbott picked up on it much quicker than those who had known them for years. I loved that he was a big softie and romantic.
I'll never forget when in the first season they had a dance together 'just for fun', but it looked so intimate with Lisbon's head on Jane's shoulder. That should have tipped us off right away.

I just love so much the mentalist after red john. season 6 is kind of boring, but necessary. Despite missing the CBI`s scenario, Riggs and Van Pelt, Season 7 is a delight to watch and I LOVE Abbott. He is very charismatic and funny. I loved Vega so much and Wylie too. And mostly, the lightness of Jane's relationship with Lisbon makes my heart melt. Whenever I'm out of something new to watch, I watch the seventh season again.
Abbott is rude and inconsiderate. I think it would be more realistic to refuse to work for him.
It started when we first saw him. In arriving at CBI he told everyone to stop working before introducing himself or showing his court papers. He should have gone to Lisbon, shown the papers and had her tell people they were now under FBI control.
I agree. Seasons 6 and 7 are both my favorites. In part of the ending of red john's saga and then for jisbon. The characters have blossomed and matured and it's so nice to watch them so light. For me it just got better.

I've always liked the Mentalist and I've recently started binge watching the series, I'm on season 5 I believe.
I had to looked up what Jisbon and Shipped means, I've learned two new words because of these comments.
Oh no, we in the fandom don't actually like the term Jisbon for them 😂 but it was just decided back then and we can't do anything about it now 😅

I just finished this series and I can't move on. I tried watching other series, but I'm still stuck here, Jisbon Forever, the mentalist is the best series I've ever watched. But I need another show, haha, I did but I failed, I'll just go back to RUclips to see the mentalist's edited video and finally I failed again to move on. Is there another series like the mentalist? whose romance story is not toxic and has a happy ending.
Have you tried watching X-files? I watched The Mentalist about 3 years ago and I thought I would never find such a beautiful couple again. But then I found X-files months ago and my god, Mulder and Scully are surreal. The dynamics of couples are similar, in a way. I think you will like it! 🥰
