Well we've heard from some celebs with parents like that , that it was for controll*ng abus*ve reasons but I presume he has said the opposite and that's not the case hopefully

Fun fact for all: the actress that says “I always wanted to do that” was Piper Laurie. She played Margaret White, the mother in Carrie that tries to stab her to death near the end of the film. Little dark humor tribute from the filmmakers there... 😂

This was such a cult classic and it was during that fun Era when rappers/musicians popped up in horror movies. (Snoop Dogg in Bones & Raj Digga in 13 Ghosts).

"Let him fucking tweak!" That line and scene has always stayed with me. It's goofy, but earnest, and encapsulates the movie, and the messy experience of being a teen that movies like this depicted. But yeah, such a good movie. Def my fav Robert Rodriguez joint. Also, I know you mentioned having a lengthy list of horror movies that'll probably last you a long time. But if the '99 House on Haunted Hill is anywhere on it, and you ever want more Famke....especially vampy Famke, just know she turns it OUT in that one. Turned me out too lol

I still have the t-shirt kitson realeased to market the movie and it says " See Paris Die May 6th" its actually become something of a collector item. Not alot of people have it, and when it was realeased Paris and her team really tired to get it shut down.

AHHH 98"❤, what a time to be young. I was 22 that year. I agree, The Faculty holds up still, and one of my favorites. It's not an Oscar or Emmy winner but it didn't have to be, more MTV Movie Awards, back when MTV was good. Just a good fun teen horror movie. Man, I miss those days.
This movie hits such a nostalgic part of me. I was not the biggest horror person growing up and this is one of the few that helped me get into it. Plus, this movie was my intro to Clea DuVall and Josh Hartnett both I developed crushes on. Eventually leading me to "But, I'm a Cheerleader" and "How to Make a Monster" for Clea. While for Hartnett led me to "Halloween H20" and "Penny Dreadful". And while I don't care for the potential student-teacher relationship at the end, I love this movie and can always revisit it.
Also, love to Laura Harris who I loved in "Dead Like Me".

So the drama teacher you thought was Debbie Reynolds is actually Piper Laurie (who you would know as Margaret White... Carrie's crazy mother).
And the principal is the aunt from Jumanji, which was my absolute favorite movie as a kid!!
Edit to add: you should react to Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1978). There's a couple versions out there, but the '78 version is the best!
The principal is also extremely well known for her character Lilith on "Cheers" and "Frasier".

This is one of my favorite movies from the 90's and it made me so sad when none of my friends knew about it. The cast has so many people who have gone on to do so many other things that it perplexes me, how some people just don't know this movie. Anyway, I'm glad you're watching it and I can't wait to actually see this reaction because, of course, I commented before I watched.

The main characters and their interactions reminds me of the Breakfast club. The princess, the brain, the athlete and basket case.. Except the nerd gets the girl at the end.

The Faculty is ICONIC as hell! Saw the thumbnail for this video and i was beyond giddy, haha 😂😂 This was soooo much fun to watch!
You should definitely react to either Disturbing Behavior or Cooties in the future, both are super underrated and worth a watch. Disturbing Behavior's overall tone is on a similar level as The Faculty, so it makes a great a great double feature for a movie night. And Cooties is freaking hilarious and features Elijah Wood as a teacher battling zombified kids (plus, the script was written by one of the co-creators of Glee AND the writer of the first Saw...that team-up alone is both funny and badass, LOL).

You're a true legend for still avoiding all the spoilers for Scream VI and doing it so successfully! Also I recommend for you watching your own commentary on Scream 3 before Scream VI, I just think you might find there words of your own that putted in retrospective are even better somehow

Robert Rodriguez is one of my favorite directors. One of my favorite films is From Dusk Till Dawn, which Quentin Tarantino and him worked on. If you decide to give that one a view, you might enjoy it!!!

Watched this Sunday when you announced it, the cast had me SHOOK. Definitely can see KW's fingerprints all over the script, the dialogue is so good. All 5 of the leads are the perfect mix of charming and charismatic actors and nasty ass mouths. Will definitely be watching Cocaine Bear for next week! And I'm sure you do, but just in case, stay away from the comments and good luck hiding from the spoilers! I promise, you will not be disappointed with Scream 6 at all, saw it twice and it might be one of my favorites in franchise. Your mind will be BLOWN.
I forgot how fun this movie is! You *must* do "Teaching Mrs. Tingle" at some point, (if you haven't already seen it!) Kevin Williamson wrote and directed that one too a year after this. It totally flew under the radar and is so underrated. Also "Invasion of the Body Snatchers 1978 is a must see and the 1994 follow up "Body Snatchers" is also an excellent watch! Great times as usual! :)
High key, many other would talk smack about this The Faculty, but has and will always be such a wicked ride of a story; The interaction with the characters was done well, the horror/sci-fi aspects were mint as hell, and the actors killed it with their performance (🔥✊). Oh the music choices blended in so well, like, it has its rememorable moments with the opening, the football sequence towards the end of the film (when the Hornet team was infecting the other team), and the credits we're just a yes, hell to the yeah "cause we know just who are", "hey stay young and invincible". That band, The Oasis, always a yes! 🎧✨

I think it's one of the first films I'll recommend for good 90s films. Like, this film has such a solid cast, an interesting plot and just the vibes in general is fantastic. Love it. It's like a creepy sci-fi version of The Breakfast Club and I'm living for it.

I LOVE "The Faculty"! And "Valentine", and "Urban Legends", and so many of the other movies you pick. Such a blast of nostalgia for me. Another movie that popped into my head earlier today, which my husband and I both think you would love, is "Disturbing Behavior". 1998, James Marsden & Katie Holmes. You should definitely check it out if you haven't seen it!

Bless you for putting this out this week. I've had a migraine for three days, but seeing this immediately perked me up. This has been one of my favorites for a long time. I saw it in theaters six times (yes, really) when I was fourteen, though that was probably in large part to my massive crush on Jordana. I feel like it's always been very underrated considering what a great cast, writer, and director it has.
During the scene with Nurse Brummel in the shower, it was... Alanda's reaction cycling from shock to laughter to retching all in one exclamation... for me.

I rewatched this movie at Halloween last year, it's one of my favorites. It is the perfect 90s/2000s sci-fi horror movie. Everything about it including the soundtrack when rock was huge! Definitely started my crush on Josh Hartnett! The wildest part is this is this movie introduced me to most of these actors...minus Elijah Wood. I also didn't know that Robert Rodriguez directed this. Someone mentioned From Dusk Til Dawn which is one of my favorite movies but the series was even better than the movie. As always great reaction!! Love your references and humor!!
Such a good time. Love this movie. You have to see "Invasion of the Body Snatchers". It's a classic and the first "Pod People" movie. There's been a number of remakes. You have to add "Disturbing Behavior" to the list. I saw several people mention it in your earlier post. You are so fabulous.

I have a Kevin Williamson movie for nearly every friend circle I had growing up~^.^
- My childhood neighborhood collection all watched Scream together whenever one of us could get our hands on the VHSs
- My childhood BFF showed me Teaching Ms. Tingle
- And when I finally gave into my nerdy/geeky side my friend circle was all about The Faculty and we quoted Cursed in nearly every conversation~~~
I know you'd seen this before due to you referencing it in another reaction, so I wasn't sure you'd react to it. So imagine my hype when I saw you posted that it was your next reaction was this. I remember when this came out, my family rented it for the weekend, and I sat there watching my two older sisters count the amount of f-bombs in the movie when we re-watched it the whole weekend we had the rental (I think there were about 50 something lol). Josh Hartnett in both The Falculty and H20 made me fall in love. This is also the movie that started my Jordana Brewster crush (shoutout to D.E.B.S. lol). Clueless, 8 year old queerbaby me LOVED Clea Duvall as Stokely. Elijah Wood was super cute. Usher is always fine. Even Robert Patrick and his pointy cat ears lol. My big Famke Janssen crush started here too and still here to this day (how it took me until age 15 for the lightbulb to go off that I wasn't straight is beyond me lmfao)...
