I loved how Ghostface in Scream 6 was very Ruthless! The way Ghostface followed Sam and Tara into the store when they thought they were safe but then Ghostface walks in and starts killing everyone left and right!
That's why I loved this one so much. Everything's at level 10. These killers didn't give a damn. They attacked right in the open. Very intense and entertaining.
I was SHOCKED when ghostface stabbed that guy then picked up the shotgun. Love that these killers were all about killing anyone that got in their way, not just the people they were targeting. Made the killings way more formidable
@@Hellstothenaw tbh even tho chad technically died, i kinda thought of it as age difference, dewey is much older and the more older you get, the more fragile you become and the more pain tolerance you lack, chad on the other hand is in his young 20s so i had that 1% of hope when he initially died, does this make sense?
The more I rewatch the movie the more her death upsets me. They had 3 people who could've held the ladder down. OR they could've let her go first. And sam could've gone last. I really wish we would've saw more of her in the movie.
Not sure there is any need for this but *SPOILER**SPOILER**SPOILER** Her death was easily one of the most gruesome in the franchise besides Casey Becker and Tatum...for the women and Dewey, Wes and Randy for the men,
People were straight up crying after she died. Some even went “OOooo!” when she was stabbed. One went “Really?!” when Ghostface began messing with her on the ladder. It wasn’t so much she was a meaningful character. It’s that Ghostface purposefully tortured her, knowing she was disposable. He could have let her bleed out; he cut half her lower stomach. But he wanted her to suffer and to have an audience. She wasn’t even a core 4. Just in the wrong place.
Fun fact but also really sad fact: the scene between Tara and Sam talking about what Sam’s going through and how Tara can’t relate is a deliberate meta commentary on how Melissa Barrera was treated after the release of Scream 2022. A lot of people online were really mean about her character and performance :( really sad but interesting bit of meta that I love
So, that's what inspired the conspiracy theory subplot. It sucks that she had to go through that. Believe it or not, I can relate to Sam. Let's just say, I know how it feels to be the target of BS lies on the internet.
It’s so sad because she’s an amazing actress that was simply following directions. I’m glad that she was able to do more with Sam this time around. No one will replace Sidney in my heart but Sam will 100% be the new Sidney for this new generation and I’m totally okay with. Melissa is fantastic ❤️
The reason Scream 6 is so special to me is knowing how as a Mexican American, horror films are a huge way my culture connects even though we are hardly represented in mainstream horror films. So to see a franchise I grew up with being financially and critically successful being led by two Mexican scream queens is so important to me. Especially two Mexican characters processing trauma and seeking therapy, which is so stigmatized and taboo in my culture. I love this so much about this film. ❤️

I think this is awesome! I’m Trinidadian and Venezuelan and have only heard one reference to a Trinidadian character on 30 Rock and Venezuelan representation is usually someone who doesn’t look like me at all even though there are plenty of darker skinned people there. I totally understand being happy for representation but it’s not like you need it to enjoy a show or movie. It’s just something that makes you feel good when you see it. I hope to see more representation for all and I your culture is a rich and beautiful one.
The fake out Kirby killer really was a twist. Idk that I really fell for it because we know Kirby, but the way it was set up and how he says she spiraled was so convincing

I thought the exact same when I watched the movie, I was 100% convinced that Kirby was the killer, until the big reveal which ended up being the twist.

I felt that way with Dewey's death but with Gale I weirdly was like "ok I guess this is it 😭" it was something I was worried about since Scream like there's a ticking time bomb on Gale and I LOVE LOVE LOVE Gale but I wasn't as anxious as I was when I thought she was a goner in 4.
The theater I was in went NUTS. EVERYONE was screaming for Gale and rooting for her to take out Ghostface. The stone cold silence and gasp when she was stabbed the third time in my that theater was chilling.
What I especially love about this Scream is how ruthless and competent Ghostface is. They're not tripping all over the place, they're hardly struggling and they're brutal! Hope they keep up with that in 7.
Yup. They talked about that in some of the press interviews. The worse part is though, that Melissa is an incredible actress with RANGE. She’s trained in theatre. Some of her portrayal as Sam was wooden, but that’s because the writing was a bit clunky, you could tell they weren’t entirely sure of what to do with her character just yet. Glad they figured it out and gave her solid material here. I loved her from jump, especially her performance from the hospital on and ESPECIALLY the climax. I love Jenna and Tara is adorable but very Sidney-esque, but Melissa as Sam is subverting the benevolent new-final girl. Sam is more imperfect and is giving major anti-hero vibes.
Scream 6 was such a MASSIVE sigh of relief for me when I saw it. I’ll continue to miss my girl Neve but man did the boys and girls of this next generation hold their own without her. Also HAYDEN IS BACK l missed her so much!! 🥰🥰🥰
When I say that Chad and Tara are the new rag dolls in the franchise, I'm not kidding. Only two films in and they are already the favorites to be stabbed by the Ghostfaces... They really are bonded over the stab wounds and I wish the couple the best
Sam's mom *has* to be a part of 7. I'll be very surprised if we don't get her after the crumbs they gave us here. Chad living was ridiculous. But, hey, Dewey making it out alive in Scream 2 was also a smidge ridiculous, too. Sam & Tara together are a *force* Love them so much.
The chemistry the core four have on and off screen is amazing ❤ you can feel their friendship and love for each other through the screen and i'm totally okay with all of them surviving :)

My grandma sees every new horror release with me, and this was the last movie she and I saw together in the theater before she was hospitalized. (She’s recovering now, don’t worry!) When Chad came out on the stretcher in the end, she turned to me and said, “This might be my favorite movie ever.” 😭 She’s a bit of a Chad stan, to say the very least, lmao. As for me, this is def top three in my series ranking! It FEELS like a Scream movie, just dialed up to a thousand! And as a gay dude, it thrilled me to see an openly queer couple in my favorite franchise 🥰 (Also, Mindy is my fav character, but I lowkey wanted her to be under the third mask. It would’ve been such an insane twist!)
I saw this 4 times in theaters. The first time was at a 4DX fan screening and it was the most exhilarating movie experience of my life! The seats moved like a roller coaster. At one point during a blood splatter moment, a water must squirts out at you. A couple times when Ghostface stabs some one in the back, you feel a poke in your back. It was really special seeing it with other fans. This is my new favorite Scream movie and I’ve come to love Sam so much after this movie.
One of my favorite details is the fact that this movie has so many references to the original sequel, from them being in college and being out of Woodsboro, we’re suspicious of the boyfriend, the entire time, but the killer ends being a family member of the previous killer. And the last scene takes place in the theater but it still manages to be fresh and exciting! Also, praying for Sydney to be in the next movie do we have to start a kickstarter so that the girl can get a check?

Loved Tara in both films, Jenna's outstanding! Yet, Sam was phenomenal in this one! Loved seeing Melissa embody the character's trauma from the first film and turn it into drive. I'm a massive Sidney Prescott fan and will always hold her at the top along with Gale, Dewey and Kirby. And I'm so happy that I actually care for these new characters too!
The thing I love about this movie was how aggressive Ghostface was. In the older movies, we still got aggressive Ghostface. But there was a lot more humor mixed in. Here we got some humor in there. Like when he was confused when Gale hung up on him. But aside from that, it was pure violence. Also, when I first watched this, I thought for sure Ethan would be a disposable victim after the movie kept trying to hint that he was Ghostface repeatedly. So you can imagine my surprise when the masks came off at the end.
I’m so glad they mentioned Sydney in the movie though. She does deserve her happy ending. Great movie and an amazing reaction. Alanda reactions make me happy. Thank you for the amazing content
My final project in college was a presentation on the Scream franchise and its impact on society and relevance to pop culture. My professor said it was one of the best researched projects she had come across teaching. Watching your reactions to this franchise is EVERYTHING! I've loved these movies since watching them in theaters in the 90s and it is so amazing to see younger generations loving this franchise like I always have! You are not alone I’ve been purposely going on her RUclips account to see if she posted. Even though I got notifications on😭. I watched all scream reactions again last night bc I got mad at myself for how impatient I was.
I appreciate that the film does give the not-so-subtle warning about bloodlust. While an extremely low percentage of people convicted of murder (of any degree) ever kill again, the brain can have a very difficult time processing regular bouts of violence, gore, and killing. To quote Sandee Lovas, "Trauma will never define you, but it does change you." They were joking about therapy in the end, but it's very much the case. The attempts to get help combined with Sam being able to maintain a small group of trusted family and found-family was probably the only thing holding her together. Notice how it took her sister Tara calling her out at least 3 or 4 times in this film to snap her out of it.
Just to name some parallels I noticed Sam = Sidney: Main final girl, gets the final kill, reads the killer's like a book, baddie Tara = Gale: Secondary final girl, has a lot of beef with main final girl, comes around more due to their love interest, gets a shot/kill in at least, typically more injured than final girl Chad = Dewey(rip): Gets stabbed and supposedly killed, alive at the end, love interest to secondary final girl, that scene with Chad and Tara at the concessions kinda mirrors Gale and Dewey's moment on the stage in Scream 2, usually saves lives Mindy = Randy: The expert, always gives the long explanation of the rules, constantly guessing killers, killed/stabbed in public Danny = Derek: highly suspected killer, distanced for safety/suspicion, main difference is that danny lived which I wasn't expecting when I watched this Jason/Greg? (can't remember)= Mickey: Film nerd, obsessed with making another movie, killed by the other killer(s) Officer Bailey (and kids) = Nancy Loomis: Relative of og boyfriend killer, don't want to make another movie like other ghostfaces; just want to get revenge on final girl, quick to anger when boyfriend ghostface is insulted Feel free to add anything I missed in replies
also I feel like most people notice this, but Sam's style of surviving is a lot more ghostface. Most of the legacy cast will stab 2 or 3 times and deliver a killing gunshot, they stab like survivors trying to survive. Sam on the other hand, stabs over and over and over like ghostface. Even when she dons the costume like Sidney has in the past, she keeps the cloak on until the killing is done, and while Tara didn't get much fight in 5, her mouth-stab in this one was also very vicious compared to what we've seen from Sidney and Gale. Not to say I expect/want them to make Sam a killer in one of these, but it is a little morbidly refreshing to see someone get a little feral in these movies considering the torture this cast has to go through
Samara Weaving's character (I forgot its name): Cassie, I consider this since Samara is already known in the horror scene due to Ready or Not (2019). People on Twitter got really hyped when she was reported as part of the cast and instantly made theories of her being the initial kill.
Every time I rewatch this video (Alanda’s reactions to _all_ of the Scream films are major comfort viewing for me, so I revisit them rather frequently!) I can’t help but watch her reaction to Chad being wheeled out on the gurney a couple of times. Her pure joy and excitement at his survival is just soooo damn enjoyable to witness! And you truly do not see many, if any at all, reactors who allow that much genuine emotion come through. Which is reason #712 why Alanda is the GOAT!!
I hope they are paying Roger Jackson more than industry standards for his voice work as Ghostface. His voice work in this was on point and the most we hear from him, and I dare say he is just a little more integral than Syd is, cause this movie proves that we can have a Sydless movie and it will be great. But I think Roger is and always will be the voice of Ghostface, much like how Kane Hoder is Jason or Robert Englund is Freddy.
There's a narrator of a police interrogation room RUclips channel that sounds alot like the Scream voice character. However there's usually nothing like the original.
Gales moment I was yelling in the theatre and when I thought she was gone I said no I wanted to cry then bam I said thank you Lord! Melissa really owned this movie incredible acting. Can't wait for scream 7 we will get an announcement soon they may be waiting till Neve is back.

The entire apartment/ladder attack scene is my favorite horror scene of 2023 so far. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time, such an intense moment.

Chad surviving is very realistic just like stu surviving the tv is very realistic. Stu is just gonna have a deformed face with scars and burns. People in real life have literally survived far worse injuries. Someone who was nearly beheaded survived, someone who was stabbed 100 times survived just to name a couple

Omfg I have been refreshing RUclips ALL WEEK for this!!!!! EDIT: Watched this the second it popped up! I really think this is in my Top 3 favorite Scream movies, it is such a wild ride and tries so many different things, it's really fresh. I did miss Sidney, but I do have to say I am glad she got a break, her absence really let us have more moments with our new Core Four and develop them further as characters. All 4 of them are so lovable and badass, Sam especially I think definitely redeemed herself from the last movie, I'm really happy everyone loves her now. And having Gale and Kirby back and seeing them all interact with the new kids was all so so so good. Part of me wants 7 ASAP but I know that all of them and especially Jenna are busy, but I hope they take their time with it. They did a REALLY good job with 6 and if 7 is the end of a trilogy, I want it to be strong! Enjoy your break! We will be patiently waiting for what your schedule brings us and what you have planned. I was so worried that Kirby was going to die. I just wish she had a bigger role in the third act. I liked how gale and Kirby interacted. I also liked how Kirby shared how her experience molded her into wanting to stop monsters. I'm honestly surprised that Alanda was suspecting Kirby. Also, it's funny that the main characters kirby, gale, sam, tara, mindy, chad, (These six characters survived from previous movies also survived scream 6). Also liked how the boyfriend Danny survived. I think he'll probably die in the next one.
I hope Kirby is here to stay! She can be the next gale if they ever decide to get rid of her finally. *sobs* And a way to keep someone from the previous movies as a mentor
Despite no Sidney and no Dewey(that's shit still hurts), I still loved this movie. The core 4 has solidified themselves as characters I'm attached to. I feel like the Core 4 are becoming a tad bit superhuman, especially Chad, whom I feel is about to break Dewey's stabbed count by the end of Scream 7, but this movie was fun, enjoyable, had great tense moments, and it was brutal without being like Saw or Hostile gory. I smiled when Red Right Hand started playing, damn near cried when Dewey's theme started playing, loved the misdirect with the opening scene. I've already watched this multiple times. I feel like Sam's boyfriend is gonna get Cotton Weary'd at the beginning of Scream 7 though. I want to see Joel, Gale's cameraman from Scream 2 aka the smartest man in the franchise because he got the hell out of dodge, make an appearance in the next Scream just for the heck of it.
I like how Alanda figured out that Quinn was the 3rd killer and the killers were Richie's family while I was completely clueless until they actually said the words. Lol
Been waiting for this! I went ALONE to a 10:30pm screening of this movie, with like 10 people in the audience. I went through all the emotions alone! Gale's apartment scene had me screaming and squirming in my seat because we knew what happened to Dewie in 5, that losing Gale was very much a possibility! I was sooo happy to see that Gale and the Core Four all survived! I know it's crazy that they did but I love it so! I too remember being like "NOT KIRBY!!!!" in the theater, and the shock of seeing Quin alive...... you were smarter than me with that one. I love love loved the movie! I am so glad they spoke of Sidney multiple times! We neeeeeed her back for 7! And we can't lose any of the Core Four, Sid, or Gale. We just CANT. After we lost Dewie, I remember being PISSED in the theater for the last half of the film. I was worried about a Scream film without Sidney, but it turned out to be INCREDIBLE. That bodega scene..... the ladder scene (RIP ANIKA)..... the SHRINE.... the call backs to all the previous killers....... first time having 3 killers....... this movie had it all! (except Sid)

I was about to have full blown meltdowns with Mindy and Chad, and I fully started tearing up for Gale and Anika (RIP, we barely knew her and she deserved to make it). I was so excited for your reaction to this movie ever since I saw this in theaters! 👏🏽💕 The 1st opening kill was painful to watch cause Samara’s character was so likable, but it was cool that there were 2 opening kills. I loved this movie so much more than the previous one! I wasn’t a fan of Sam’s acting in 5, but I felt the script and her acting was really good in this one. I loved how bold and violent Ghost Face was. Peep the foreshadowing to the father being Ghostface when he says “You fuck with my family. You die.” Ghost face with a shotgun was pretty awesome & the duel blade wipe was top tier for me 😫! + It was fun that they put someone in Samara’s “Ready or Not” costume in the subway.
And the look on your face when Ghostface attacked Gale was priceless LOL. I was having a similar reaction. I was like: No! No! No! No! We're NOT doing this AGAIN!" Almost cried too! But I was also pissed when he brought up Dewey and Sidney! Like... how DARE you!

Thank God the writers did not go that route. The movie was a rollercoaster which was definitely needed to let us not think of sidney. She must be back for the next one! The core 4 are amazing too.

I never understand people of say "it's time to go". Gale is also a final girl. They never said that for Laurie Strode even if she's the only lead in the Halloween movies. But the writers need to use more Gale (and Sid). Gale found the shrine and she could discover the killers if she wasnt attacked. I can see her as a mother figure to Sam

Because of current circumstances concerning the production of Scream 7, and if you want to get your Scream fix satisfied up until they get the production done, We would love to see you react to the whole first season of the TV series that aired on MTV. The same formula of one of the movies, runs the course of an entire season of the show, with the opening kill, opening up the pilot episode, to the killer reveal and defeat closing out the season finale. It'll be a Scream.
"He's alive! I don't care if it's not realistic!" Chad being the new Dewey, but with zero skills, is too funny to me. He's just a knife magnet at this point unless he levels up between movies. I'm more glad that Mindy survived and we get her meta knowledge going into 7 (without need of a post-mortem tape 😅).
I like chad but him and mindy should I have died mindy is a pretty useless character if we're being honest shes not a fighter and she hangs around with the people shes suspects are the killers. Then gets sad when she misses the reveals like it's a game
I’m very glad that you enjoyed this installment as much as I have. I’ve seen it roughly 9 times and counting and no matter the negatives,The scream franchise are just pure comfort slashers but this one felt real close to home for me. These newer characters feel like a group of friends that I’ve always wanted to hang around and the brutality and action sequences remain so very intense and memorable. Of course it’s repetitive and unrealistic in many aspects,but for the most part it’s always been very fun and clever enough to keep this franchise fresh and moving forward. As a hardcore fan,this is truly so much better than the previous one in almost every single way. On one note,I do think Gale should’ve died. Not that I don’t love her character,but the last line would’ve been a great send off and it felt like wasted potential because we get absolutely nothing from her after that and it’s kind of a bummer. But yeah,they did a great job with this sequel and I’m eager to see more because this franchise will always and forever have a special place in my heart.
I wish that they had left Gales fate up in the air. I hated that line that Mindy said riiiiiighhhtt at the very end saying she was okay… I wanted to not know for part 7. I didn’t want her to die tho, maybe in part 7 or 8 she could lol

I loved how Ghostface in Scream 6 was very Ruthless! The way Ghostface followed Sam and Tara into the store when they thought they were safe but then Ghostface walks in and starts killing everyone left and right!

That's why I loved this one so much. Everything's at level 10. These killers didn't give a damn. They attacked right in the open. Very intense and entertaining.
I was SHOCKED when ghostface stabbed that guy then picked up the shotgun. Love that these killers were all about killing anyone that got in their way, not just the people they were targeting. Made the killings way more formidable
There were some plot holes and lazy writing but it was so intense and entertaining.

That ladder scene was BRUTAL! We all knew she was going to fall, but Ghostface shaking the ladder to mess with her first was so twisted. RIP Anika 😢
The more I rewatch the movie the more her death upsets me. They had 3 people who could've held the ladder down. OR they could've let her go first. And sam could've gone last. I really wish we would've saw more of her in the movie.

People were straight up crying after she died. Some even went “OOooo!” when she was stabbed. One went “Really?!” when Ghostface began messing with her on the ladder.
It wasn’t so much she was a meaningful character. It’s that Ghostface purposefully tortured her, knowing she was disposable. He could have let her bleed out; he cut half her lower stomach. But he wanted her to suffer and to have an audience. She wasn’t even a core 4. Just in the wrong place.
I'm starting a petition for Alanda and Zzavid to be red carpet correspondents for scream 7. We deserve this!

The reason Scream 6 is so special to me is knowing how as a Mexican American, horror films are a huge way my culture connects even though we are hardly represented in mainstream horror films. So to see a franchise I grew up with being financially and critically successful being led by two Mexican scream queens is so important to me. Especially two Mexican characters processing trauma and seeking therapy, which is so stigmatized and taboo in my culture. I love this so much about this film. ❤️

I think this is awesome! I’m Trinidadian and Venezuelan and have only heard one reference to a Trinidadian character on 30 Rock and Venezuelan representation is usually someone who doesn’t look like me at all even though there are plenty of darker skinned people there. I totally understand being happy for representation but it’s not like you need it to enjoy a show or movie. It’s just something that makes you feel good when you see it. I hope to see more representation for all and I your culture is a rich and beautiful one.

I thought the exact same when I watched the movie, I was 100% convinced that Kirby was the killer, until the big reveal which ended up being the twist.
Sam & Tara are a force to be reckoned with in this movie, especially Tara the way she twisted the knife was insane.

I felt that way with Dewey's death but with Gale I weirdly was like "ok I guess this is it 😭" it was something I was worried about since Scream like there's a ticking time bomb on Gale and I LOVE LOVE LOVE Gale but I wasn't as anxious as I was when I thought she was a goner in 4.
The theater I was in went NUTS. EVERYONE was screaming for Gale and rooting for her to take out Ghostface. The stone cold silence and gasp when she was stabbed the third time in my that theater was chilling.
What I especially love about this Scream is how ruthless and competent Ghostface is. They're not tripping all over the place, they're hardly struggling and they're brutal! Hope they keep up with that in 7.

Yup. They talked about that in some of the press interviews. The worse part is though, that Melissa is an incredible actress with RANGE. She’s trained in theatre. Some of her portrayal as Sam was wooden, but that’s because the writing was a bit clunky, you could tell they weren’t entirely sure of what to do with her character just yet. Glad they figured it out and gave her solid material here. I loved her from jump, especially her performance from the hospital on and ESPECIALLY the climax. I love Jenna and Tara is adorable but very Sidney-esque, but Melissa as Sam is subverting the benevolent new-final girl. Sam is more imperfect and is giving major anti-hero vibes.
Scream 6 was such a MASSIVE sigh of relief for me when I saw it. I’ll continue to miss my girl Neve but man did the boys and girls of this next generation hold their own without her. Also HAYDEN IS BACK l missed her so much!! 🥰🥰🥰

this scream is probably one of my favorite sequels of the series, they did such a good job fleshing out these characters
My grandma sees every new horror release with me, and this was the last movie she and I saw together in the theater before she was hospitalized. (She’s recovering now, don’t worry!) When Chad came out on the stretcher in the end, she turned to me and said, “This might be my favorite movie ever.” 😭 She’s a bit of a Chad stan, to say the very least, lmao. As for me, this is def top three in my series ranking! It FEELS like a Scream movie, just dialed up to a thousand! And as a gay dude, it thrilled me to see an openly queer couple in my favorite franchise 🥰 (Also, Mindy is my fav character, but I lowkey wanted her to be under the third mask. It would’ve been such an insane twist!)

I saw this 4 times in theaters. The first time was at a 4DX fan screening and it was the most exhilarating movie experience of my life! The seats moved like a roller coaster. At one point during a blood splatter moment, a water must squirts out at you. A couple times when Ghostface stabs some one in the back, you feel a poke in your back. It was really special seeing it with other fans. This is my new favorite Scream movie and I’ve come to love Sam so much after this movie.

One of my favorite details is the fact that this movie has so many references to the original sequel, from them being in college and being out of Woodsboro, we’re suspicious of the boyfriend, the entire time, but the killer ends being a family member of the previous killer. And the last scene takes place in the theater but it still manages to be fresh and exciting!

Loved Tara in both films, Jenna's outstanding! Yet, Sam was phenomenal in this one! Loved seeing Melissa embody the character's trauma from the first film and turn it into drive. I'm a massive Sidney Prescott fan and will always hold her at the top along with Gale, Dewey and Kirby. And I'm so happy that I actually care for these new characters too!
The thing I love about this movie was how aggressive Ghostface was. In the older movies, we still got aggressive Ghostface. But there was a lot more humor mixed in. Here we got some humor in there. Like when he was confused when Gale hung up on him. But aside from that, it was pure violence.
Also, when I first watched this, I thought for sure Ethan would be a disposable victim after the movie kept trying to hint that he was Ghostface repeatedly. So you can imagine my surprise when the masks came off at the end.
I’m so glad they mentioned Sydney in the movie though. She does deserve her happy ending. Great movie and an amazing reaction. Alanda reactions make me happy. Thank you for the amazing content

My final project in college was a presentation on the Scream franchise and its impact on society and relevance to pop culture. My professor said it was one of the best researched projects she had come across teaching. Watching your reactions to this franchise is EVERYTHING! I've loved these movies since watching them in theaters in the 90s and it is so amazing to see younger generations loving this franchise like I always have! I appreciate that the film does give the not-so-subtle warning about bloodlust. While an extremely low percentage of people convicted of murder (of any degree) ever kill again, the brain can have a very difficult time processing regular bouts of violence, gore, and killing. To quote Sandee Lovas, "Trauma will never define you, but it does change you." They were joking about therapy in the end, but it's very much the case. The attempts to get help combined with Sam being able to maintain a small group of trusted family and found-family was probably the only thing holding her together. Notice how it took her sister Tara calling her out at least 3 or 4 times in this film to snap her out of it.
The fact the officer decided to run at Sam while holding a loaded gun 💀
People don't want to accept this is sillier than Scream 3, at list in that movie the 3 act is iconic

Tara = Gale: Secondary final girl, has a lot of beef with main final girl, comes around more due to their love interest, gets a shot/kill in at least, typically more injured than final girl
Chad = Dewey(rip): Gets stabbed and supposedly killed, alive at the end, love interest to secondary final girl, that scene with Chad and Tara at the concessions kinda mirrors Gale and Dewey's moment on the stage in Scream 2, usually saves lives
Mindy = Randy: The expert, always gives the long explanation of the rules, constantly guessing killers, killed/stabbed in public
Danny = Derek: highly suspected killer, distanced for safety/suspicion, main difference is that danny lived which I wasn't expecting when I watched this
Jason/Greg? (can't remember)= Mickey: Film nerd, obsessed with making another movie, killed by the other killer(s)
Officer Bailey (and kids) = Nancy Loomis: Relative of og boyfriend killer, don't want to make another movie like other ghostfaces; just want to get revenge on final girl, quick to anger when boyfriend ghostface is insulted

also I feel like most people notice this, but Sam's style of surviving is a lot more ghostface. Most of the legacy cast will stab 2 or 3 times and deliver a killing gunshot, they stab like survivors trying to survive. Sam on the other hand, stabs over and over and over like ghostface. Even when she dons the costume like Sidney has in the past, she keeps the cloak on until the killing is done, and while Tara didn't get much fight in 5, her mouth-stab in this one was also very vicious compared to what we've seen from Sidney and Gale. Not to say I expect/want them to make Sam a killer in one of these, but it is a little morbidly refreshing to see someone get a little feral in these movies considering the torture this cast has to go through
Samara Weaving's character (I forgot its name): Cassie, I consider this since Samara is already known in the horror scene due to Ready or Not (2019). People on Twitter got really hyped when she was reported as part of the cast and instantly made theories of her being the initial kill.

Every time I rewatch this video (Alanda’s reactions to _all_ of the Scream films are major comfort viewing for me, so I revisit them rather frequently!) I can’t help but watch her reaction to Chad being wheeled out on the gurney a couple of times. Her pure joy and excitement at his survival is just soooo damn enjoyable to witness!
And you truly do not see many, if any at all, reactors who allow that much genuine emotion come through.

I hope they are paying Roger Jackson more than industry standards for his voice work as Ghostface. His voice work in this was on point and the most we hear from him, and I dare say he is just a little more integral than Syd is, cause this movie proves that we can have a Sydless movie and it will be great. But I think Roger is and always will be the voice of Ghostface, much like how Kane Hoder is Jason or Robert Englund is Freddy.
There's a narrator of a police interrogation room RUclips channel that sounds alot like the Scream voice character. However there's usually nothing like the original.

Chad surviving is very realistic just like stu surviving the tv is very realistic. Stu is just gonna have a deformed face with scars and burns. People in real life have literally survived far worse injuries. Someone who was nearly beheaded survived, someone who was stabbed 100 times survived just to name a couple

EDIT: Watched this the second it popped up! I really think this is in my Top 3 favorite Scream movies, it is such a wild ride and tries so many different things, it's really fresh. I did miss Sidney, but I do have to say I am glad she got a break, her absence really let us have more moments with our new Core Four and develop them further as characters. All 4 of them are so lovable and badass, Sam especially I think definitely redeemed herself from the last movie, I'm really happy everyone loves her now. And having Gale and Kirby back and seeing them all interact with the new kids was all so so so good. Part of me wants 7 ASAP but I know that all of them and especially Jenna are busy, but I hope they take their time with it. They did a REALLY good job with 6 and if 7 is the end of a trilogy, I want it to be strong!

I was so worried that Kirby was going to die. I just wish she had a bigger role in the third act. I liked how gale and Kirby interacted. I also liked how Kirby shared how her experience molded her into wanting to stop monsters. I'm honestly surprised that Alanda was suspecting Kirby. Also, it's funny that the main characters kirby, gale, sam, tara, mindy, chad, (These six characters survived from previous movies also survived scream 6). Also liked how the boyfriend Danny survived. I think he'll probably die in the next one.

Despite no Sidney and no Dewey(that's shit still hurts), I still loved this movie. The core 4 has solidified themselves as characters I'm attached to. I feel like the Core 4 are becoming a tad bit superhuman, especially Chad, whom I feel is about to break Dewey's stabbed count by the end of Scream 7, but this movie was fun, enjoyable, had great tense moments, and it was brutal without being like Saw or Hostile gory. I smiled when Red Right Hand started playing, damn near cried when Dewey's theme started playing, loved the misdirect with the opening scene. I've already watched this multiple times.
I feel like Sam's boyfriend is gonna get Cotton Weary'd at the beginning of Scream 7 though. I want to see Joel, Gale's cameraman from Scream 2 aka the smartest man in the franchise because he got the hell out of dodge, make an appearance in the next Scream just for the heck of it.

Been waiting for this! I went ALONE to a 10:30pm screening of this movie, with like 10 people in the audience. I went through all the emotions alone! Gale's apartment scene had me screaming and squirming in my seat because we knew what happened to Dewie in 5, that losing Gale was very much a possibility! I was sooo happy to see that Gale and the Core Four all survived! I know it's crazy that they did but I love it so! I too remember being like "NOT KIRBY!!!!" in the theater, and the shock of seeing Quin alive...... you were smarter than me with that one. I love love loved the movie! I am so glad they spoke of Sidney multiple times! We neeeeeed her back for 7! And we can't lose any of the Core Four, Sid, or Gale. We just CANT. After we lost Dewie, I remember being PISSED in the theater for the last half of the film. I was worried about a Scream film without Sidney, but it turned out to be INCREDIBLE. That bodega scene..... the ladder scene (RIP ANIKA)..... the SHRINE.... the call backs to all the previous killers....... first time having 3 killers....... this movie had it all! (except Sid)

This reaction was well worth the wait! LOL. Fantabulous, Alanda. I LOVED THIS MOVIE. I was about to have full blown meltdowns with Mindy and Chad, and I fully started tearing up for Gale and Anika (RIP, we barely knew her and she deserved to make it). This Scream might have been the one that put me through the craziest rollercoaster of emotions. Whew, chile.

I was so excited for your reaction to this movie ever since I saw this in theaters! 👏🏽💕 The 1st opening kill was painful to watch cause Samara’s character was so likable, but it was cool that there were 2 opening kills. I loved this movie so much more than the previous one! I wasn’t a fan of Sam’s acting in 5, but I felt the script and her acting was really good in this one. I loved how bold and violent Ghost Face was. Peep the foreshadowing to the father being Ghostface when he says “You fuck with my family. You die.” Ghost face with a shotgun was pretty awesome & the duel blade wipe was top tier for me 😫! + It was fun that they put someone in Samara’s “Ready or Not” costume in the subway.

Loved the reaction. Been waiting for it 😆. Gales scene vs ghostface was epic. When she said “tell sidney he never got me” I was in tears that we were losing her. Thank God the writers did not go that route. The movie was a rollercoaster which was definitely needed to let us not think of sidney. She must be back for the next one! The core 4 are amazing too.

They never said that for Laurie Strode even if she's the only lead in the Halloween movies.
But the writers need to use more Gale (and Sid). Gale found the shrine and she could discover the killers if she wasnt attacked. I can see her as a mother figure to Sam

Because of current circumstances concerning the production of Scream 7, and if you want to get your Scream fix satisfied up until they get the production done, We would love to see you react to the whole first season of the TV series that aired on MTV. The same formula of one of the movies, runs the course of an entire season of the show, with the opening kill, opening up the pilot episode, to the killer reveal and defeat closing out the season finale. It'll be a Scream.

I like chad but him and mindy should I have died mindy is a pretty useless character if we're being honest shes not a fighter and she hangs around with the people shes suspects are the killers. Then gets sad when she misses the reveals like it's a game
I’m very glad that you enjoyed this installment as much as I have. I’ve seen it roughly 9 times and counting and no matter the negatives,The scream franchise are just pure comfort slashers but this one felt real close to home for me. These newer characters feel like a group of friends that I’ve always wanted to hang around and the brutality and action sequences remain so very intense and memorable. Of course it’s repetitive and unrealistic in many aspects,but for the most part it’s always been very fun and clever enough to keep this franchise fresh and moving forward. As a hardcore fan,this is truly so much better than the previous one in almost every single way. On one note,I do think Gale should’ve died. Not that I don’t love her character,but the last line would’ve been a great send off and it felt like wasted potential because we get absolutely nothing from her after that and it’s kind of a bummer. But yeah,they did a great job with this sequel and I’m eager to see more because this franchise will always and forever have a special place in my heart.
I wish that they had left Gales fate up in the air. I hated that line that Mindy said riiiiiighhhtt at the very end saying she was okay… I wanted to not know for part 7. I didn’t want her to die tho, maybe in part 7 or 8 she could lol
