the “excited” joke is literally the best example of how to tell a gay joke without being homophobic. doesn’t hurt that this movie was written by a gay man.
It's already obvious that it's written by a gay man. Because it has a lot of straight/gay stuff dialogues and guy kissing a man scene.

My favorite moment is the clear Heathers shout out. She walks into the school wearing a Heather Chandler red leather jacket to the strains of Que Sera Sera. It spoke to my Gen X soul.
Mine too - I also wondered if the frozen body falling to the ground was also a reference (I must admit I immediately thought of Heather Chandler and the glass table)

Fun fact: The movie was originally going to be called "Freaky Friday the 13th" but eventually took the name of "Freaky" (this is due from what I heard that Disney blocked the use of "Freaky Friday" in the title as they own that license - I will admit if I'm wrong on that as I can't remember where I heard it.)

This movie is so silly, funny and bloody (which I don't mind) and I love it. The best friends are ones to have for life. Like, Josh stole it for me when he was on screen. I don't mind some of those teenagers dying because they were awful, yeah, I said it. And of course, you look great as always and I love the choker.

I’m sure someone else has already commented on it, but the movie the haunting is based on the haunting of hill house by Shirley Jackson which, if you haven’t checked out the Netflix tv adaptation, I highly highly recommend it. Love your videos, they really are a highlight of my week!!!
Correction: The Haunting (1999) was a remake of the 1963 film The Haunting, which itself was a LOOSE adaptation of the book The Haunting Of Hill House by Shirley Jackson. Not to be confused with The House On Haunted Hill (1999), which was a remake of the 1959 film The House On Haunted Hill (starring horror legend Vincent Price). Both of the 1999 remakes are actually parodied in Scary Movie 2, so she might want to watch both in order to catch all of the references.
She also might want to read the book by Shirley Jackson (or ALL books by Shirley Jackson, they are all masterpieces). Alanda strikes me as a reader.

Tried staying up for the upload but I couldn’t, so this was a great way to start my morning! This movie was SO damn funny, every single joke hit! Vince and Kathryn did such a great job with their roles, Millie and her friends were all so likable, and The Butcher was terrifying in Vince’s body and honestly very easy to kind of root for in Millie’s body. Like he really cleared out almost all of her bullies and tormentors in one day.
You’re the highlight of my Sundays Alanda! I’ve been new to horror movies myself, and I’ve started watching the movie you plan to film during the week and even look for some of my own. Can’t wait to see what’s next. I believe the director of this movie also did Happy Death Day which seems like the Groundhog’s Day version of this, and it has a sequel so that could be a good watch for you!

I gotta admit, the first time I saw this, I kept thinking instead of Booker that they were saying "Booger"~ But that just might be because one of the many Freaky Friday-style movies I grew up with was The Hot Chick, and the brother in that was called "Booger"... (Don't question me on why I remembered that! The Hot Chick had Matthew Lawrence in it, who was my favorite Lawrence brother~~~^.^)

This is one of my favorite horror movies of recent years. I was like you in that I was quite pleasantly surprised by it. I have absolutely nothing against Vince Vaughn, but how did they manage to make him cute?!

This was the last movie I saw in the theatres before Covid shut the world down. I loved it. Vince Vaughn was great. This was funny, brutal at times. A perfect horror comedy. Great selection and reaction to it. Thank you for posting.

Oh please, do watch The Haunting with us. It’s kinda silly but I love the setting and scenery. It’s a mix of two of my favorites haunted house books, The Haunting of Hill House (Shirley Jackson) and Hellhouse (Richard Matheson).
