I'm trying to figure out how the movie says the female is the bigger one without wings, the bigger one without the wings has the eggs...and yet you continue to say the male is the bigger one. At some point I legit thought it would become obvious that the female was the bigger flightless MUTO!

They literally tell you in the movie, the female is the big one, the male is the smaller one with wings. Its similar to what we have here on earth besides mammals. In the insect world females are usually larger. Cmon guys you learn this stuff in middle school.

Godzilla isn’t for or against us in most movies. Instead, he’s more here to keep the other monsters in check and keep the balance. If any monster steps out of line he puts them back in their place pretty much. If the people leave him alone, he doesn’t just cause destruction and kill humans intentionally for no reason, there’s typically a motive or reasoning unrelated to the humans, they just happen to be part of the aftermath.
I'm sure some people know and don't know but that fire attack that he just did was call the atomic breath

Godzilla is Earth's protector, which we benefit from. Anything he perceives as a threat to the planet, he will attack. As you watch these movies, you'll learn about it.
The next two movies in the series both have end credit scenes, then the two Godzilla and Kong movies do not. Also, there is the Monarch: Legacy of Monsters series on Apple TV. That 10 episode series aired between GvK and the new GxK movie.
And yes, that was Godzilla's VERY well known ability, his atomic breath/beam/death ray. As these movies progress, that ability becomes insanely powerful. This is one of the best movie-verses ever done. It just get more and more balls to the wall fun. Hold on to your butts, you guys are in for a ride.
This movie is the first of the current shared universe of Godzilla & King Kong called “The Monsterverse.” The next one is called Kong: Skull Island, then it’s Godzilla: King of the Monsters (2019), Godzilla vs Kong (2021), the tv show called Monarch Legacy of Monsters on Apple TV, & the current released Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire that’s playing in theaters as of this comment. Godzilla doesn't CARE about humanity, he only cares if the Earth is THREATENED. In this case, the MUTOs were the threat.If buildings or humans are caught in the crossfire, so be it but he does have a sense of honour. In the original Japanese 1954 film, he was the villain and an allegory for nuclear warfare.

The monsterverse is a ton of fun, I hope you enjoy it all. But, I always recommend folks watch Godzilla 1954. It's the greatest kaiju movie ever made. One of the greatest films ever and is the start of the greatest franchise outside of the og trilogy for me at least.

The flying MUTO(Massive unidentified terrestrial organism) creature is actually the male and the female is the larger wingless MUTO. Also you have witnessed Godzilla's atomic breath which is something he has always had.
You got the muto's genders backwards. The little one with the wings is the male, the big one is the female. You can even see her carrying and laying the eggs.
Always a thrill seeing people new to the monsterverse,..yess,..huh,..many,..many Godzilla movies, all the way back to the 1950's,..and at the time when I first got into these movies, in the 1960's, I had no idea there was anything before that,..of course there was no cgi back then,..but the effects, the destruction part was well done,..just done practically, small model buildings, cars, vehicles, military vehicles,..but Godzilla was a guy in a suit,..they just did really good editing, that's what they relied on a lot,..they did good for the time it was made,..so glad they've re-imagined these movies and creatures now,..they have really done the original creators, and the monsters justice,..I know this first movie in the remakes, was done a lot in shadow,..but I like that, for me, others who grew up that long ago with them,..I was already acquainted with it, I liked the slow reveal,..it was worth the wait, every time, only added to and made the reintroduction all the more thrilling,..and impressed me so the much more, for you newcomers, think it was good for you, because I think it will make you appreciate the work put into the production, and storyline, having not seen the older movies(and I do encourage you to do so, you've got 60 years of catching up,..I know daunting isn't it😉),..but even if you don't its ok,..we welcome you anyway,..it's a pleasure,..ya'll cracked me up when you saw the people just standing around, especially at the airport,..but can you imagine only just arriving for your flight,..and over the intercom, not,..ladies and gents, flights have been canceled, due to inclement weather, ice on the planes, tarmac, runway, hurricane, ,..no,..no ohh no,..because to gigantic creatures, I mean creatures that are gigantic, are destroying the airport,..lol,..can you imagine, if I were the announcer, hmmpf, I would've left a recording, I would be long gone,..and the kid,..you know kids do those disappearing acts all the time,..and it was crowded,.the little boy just hopped on the train, nerve racking,..now the MUTO, the ones that looked like insects, the female was the bigger one, its fitting they made them like insects, ants, the males can fly, the female queen, I think, but in this case female couldn't..just love the way they were designed on this movie, and Godzilla, awesome, so glad you kinda came in on this new, yess he breathes fire, atomic breath,..that's his superpower, that, his massive tail that he swings like a whip, and, huh his sheer size,..he sometimes needs a little help from, humans, other Kaiju, but he's still quite formidable,..do keep going,..Kong Skull Island is the next stop, but do also check out Peter Jackson's King Kong, but also do a little nostalgic look at the original, 1933 masterpiece, yess,..Kong movies go back a little further than Godzilla, even if in the lore Godzilla is older,..ohh and the guy, the black soldier, Richard T. Jones, always a pleasure seeing him, he's no stranger to scifi, was in Event Horizon with Lawrence Fishburne, and was also in Judging Amy, and is in The Rookie now,..he's fantastic,..can't wait for you to get to King of The Monsters, do enjoy,..Godspeed, Peace ✌
The next film is the best in the series, and Kong Skull Island is a must see.
Insects were the ones who dug from the Philippines to Japan, everything at the beginning of the film was insects, Godzilla only appears when they start mentioning him and then he shows up to beat him up.

As far as this continuation goes Godzilla is just a defender of territory, in the original 1950’s movie aswell as alot of the older ones he is the destroyer of the cities with no real motive, he does fight other monsters but its more just like this a territory type thing…then he goes back to destroying cities

You'll get more and see more Godzilla in the other movies and they are connected to each other, they're sequels

Godzilla and the MUTOs actions were performed by motion capture actors, who then had the characters' skins CGIed over them. T.J. Storm played Godzilla in this film and the next one. He was also COlossus in "Deadpool" and Iron Man in "CIvil War".

Welcome to the Monsterverse!!! All hail the King (although I technically think Godzilla is a girl) I just have to say, seeing SPECOPS troopers take positions in a relatively normal area is freaky. They weren't deploying for combat when I saw them, it was for security for the 4 highest ranking military personnel short of the Presidential staff (Joint Chief's) for a Senators funeral being performed at my school (he was an alumnus). It was very surreal to watch secret service perform assault parking maneuvers in front of my dorm and see sniper teams on the roofs of buildings.

Old Japanese Godzilla was evil... It was killed but another one appeared, after time Godzilla was shown as a defender of humanity, but more like defender of his territory, Earth. Until 2014 where he became a force of nature, keeping the balance, MUTO's were his natural enemy, as a parasitic creatures they grew up absorbing radiation from other Godzilla spiecies - Dagon, a much younger monster.. That's a little prequel to where they come from.. Rest You must watch ;)
