Hey y’all thanks for watching! What are your thoughts on this movie and our reaction to the movie?
The director Stephen sommers did DEEP RISING before this and it's my favourite creature feature it stars BENI as well as a Stella cast unfortunately the main star TREAT WILLIAMS sadly passed away in june 03 from a motorcycle crash caused by the car driver
If you want a suggestion for the horror genre, you may want to try _28_ _Days_ _Later_ (staring a young Cillian Murphy in his first big role)
Love this movie, and it's always cool to see people being introduced to this film. Check out the next on, it is also really good... and another good request, it's a comedy/thriller/mystery called the Nice Guys. I think yall will like it. Keep on keeping on!
You guys should watch and react to Van Helsing, and League Of Extraordinary Gentlemen.
The check out The Land Before Time and An American Tail.
Camel's run slightly slower than a horse. But camel's have an advantage in the design of their feet which spread out on the loose soft sand. Working much like a snowshoe in snow.
Horses however fast can only keep up their max speed for just a few minutes before they become overheated and either die or go lame. And horses hooves are not really suited for the sand.
Camel's can run at full speed for hours without overheating. So camel's are the superior mount to have in the desert.
Wow, you know your animals, I’m impressed.😁
17:00 I looked it up, and the average horse can get up to 44mph in short bursts, and a camel can get up to 40mph. I'm sure a camel would have an advantage in the desert.
They do. Their feet have a wider surface area so they can get more push due to the sand. Camels are also very smart and the whole water thing

Thanks for suggesting some great movies!
@@ajandselena i want to give us a little suggestion.
Zoom on faces are not necessary,
watch both reactions simultaneusly is totaly fine,
for example : minute 8:00 we miss Selena reaction because the zoom.
sometimes less edit is better
The Mummy Returns is just as good, if not better, than the first. Minus that awkward CGI version of The Rock at the end. Tomb of the Dragon Emperor has some awesome kung fu moments with Jet Li and Michelle Yeoh, and more wacky moments with Jonathan. The only problem is that Evie was recast, and the actress' chemistry with Brendan was nowhere near as good as Rachel Weisz. There's also a Scorpion King spin-off with The Rock, Kelly Hu, and Michael Clarke Duncan in his final on-screen appearance.
IKR, lol. I always pretend that CGI didn't happen with the overall performance.
I really recommend also watching The Mummy Returns, just as entertaining as the first one
This movie pretty much perfected the swashbuckling adventure movie genre. A genre that is unfortunately very EXTREMELY RARE to find these days, and Brendan Fraser was the Goat during the 90s.
DEFINITELY watch Mummy Returns!
Check out the movies Deep Blue Sea(1999) and Anaconda(1997).
Thanks for the awesome suggestions!
Yes, yes, yes 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Loved you’ll reaction, hope you guys watch the other movies, this movie, jurassic Park, Indiana Jones, and Lara Croft Tomb Raider made me want to become an archaeologist and paleontologist.
You all need to do a better job at editing. So many key moments and scenes from the film were cut out that you reacted to which we didn't get to see.
Copyright sometimes prevents us from showing too much
If you go to Egypt, there are people with camels at the pyramids and they will offer you a ride. Don’t do it! It’s a scam. They will claim that you owe them a fortune for the ride. See if you can arrange it with a registered guide.
The Mummy Returns is even better 😊
Wow really?!!
@@ajandselena yes 🥰
@@ajandselena yes you should check it out
People are so weird, They want to watch reactions but tell you you talk to much? How are you going to express your reaction without words? I know, I know, you can't please everybody. Just seems silly to tell reactors to shut up. lol
Dope reaction yall keep them reactions coming🤝
...almost got epilepsy from there being a cut every 5 seconds
Great reaction! Enjoyed this movie 🍿
Glad you enjoyed it
Camels can run through the sand faster and for longer because they dont sink in the sand like horses do.
Very interesting fact!
Nice job guys I enjoyed this reaction
Thank you so much 😁
Selena: "I need more."
Well, there are two sequels...
The Mummy is one of my favorite movies. I love Rachel Weisz as the brainy, beautiful leading lady, Brendan Fraser as the adventurous man of action, and Arnold Vosloo as the chief villain. Also, they did get the mummification practices correct when Evelyn described how ancient Egyptians removed people's brains (minus a slight omission): The embalmers used the hook to also punch a hole in the person's skull so the brain drained out when they were rolled over. And I always get jumpscared when Jonathan is toying around in that damned sarcophagus, no matter how many times I've seen the movie.
Side trivia:
1. In the scene introducing her as Ankh-su-namun, model/actress Patricia Velásquez was completely naked with the exception of a loin cloth, a few pieces of jewelry, pasties & body paint (body paint took four hours to apply).
2. Brendan Fraser revealed on a recent episode of “The Kelly Clarkson Show” that he had a near-death experience during a stunt gone wrong while filming “The Mummy.” The Oscar winner said he was “choked out accidentally” during the scene in which he had to be hanged from the gallows in the Egyptian prison, which resulted in him being resuscitated by on-set medical personnel.
3. In the desert race to Hamunaptra, you see camels and horses. Horses are faster (on flat land), but camels are adapted to life in the desert. Even though they do eventually have to eat and drink, camels can live off the fat reserves inside their humps, their long eyelashes keep dust out of their eyes, and their feet are big and wide to keep them from sinking into the sand as they move.
4. After Evelyn unknowingly awakens Imhotep by reading The Book Of The Dead (which is actually a funerary scroll in real life) and the locust swarm flies into the encampment at Hamunaptra, the locusts crawling on the Egyptologist are actually grasshoppers that were refrigerated to make them sluggish. On a similar note, the scarabs in real life were merely dung beetles, not vicious flesh eaters.
We really enjoyed every minute of this movie ❤ thanks for watching
@@ajandselena
It's my sincere pleasure
Like your reactions. Please check out the sci-fi horror franchise starting with Alien (1979). ❤
Seems a common misconception that camels can't outrun horses, but especially over sand they actually can, as their bigger feet don't sink in. _The_ _Mummy_ _Returns_ is a good follow-up with the same actors as this one, with good acting and script (though they really skimped on the CGI) that continues this story. The later pieces of the franchise: _Scorpion_ _King_ and _Tomb_ _of_ _the_ _Dragon_ _Emperor_ are not worth watching.
In y’all edits try not to break dialog in the movie. Cuts should occur when there’s not much happening on screen
Great reaction! You’re doing a fine job with the editing! Keep it up
Some facts:
Cats are not the guardians of the underworld.
There is no quicksand in the Sahara Desert.
Part from that its a great movie and I cant wait for number 4 to come out. Love Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz.
Brendan Fraser - George Of The Jungle + Journey To The Center Of The Earth + The Whale.
Rachel Weisz - Constantine + The Bourne Legacy + Black Widow.
Subscribed cause of MK in the background.. great reaction though😁
