Her dad started breakdancing 7 years after the divorce.. and after providing 2million & the house to the kids along with 12thousand a month in support.. WTF..
And still kept visiting the kids and taking them out a bunch. Divorce happens, it sucks. But her phrasing it the way she did is so disingenuous and pretty much just straight up lying.
And his wife had her lawyers investigate his clients, bombing his business and destroying his income. Then she moved states with the kids, knowing that he could not afford to follow them for years after paying that insane amount and having no income. Yet he abandoned them…

“Providing” is a strange way of saying “lost in the divorce after a judge determined his financial obligations to the kids he was - in his own words - ‘there for one day, and the next he wasn’t.’” Nobody gives their ex wife 2 million dollars and a house out of the goodness of their heart.

I mean, she decided to run her dad through the mud in a public tiktok video. She says she was portraying this as some whimsical story, but no way is it "whismsical" when you claim that your dad abandoned you, your siblings and your mother. There's no way that that doesn't just paint him as a despicable dirt bag, and yet she ran with it. Gotta chase the clout, huh?
Yeah true or not she's painting a picture of a not whimsical story. Also there's no way she doesn't know her dad will response. Old fuck is a crypto bro of course he's gonna be online.
He still is a scumbag this man doesn’t love his daughter and is literally trying to use her for clout as well. I do think she should have told the 100% truth if she knew it but the thing is in her perspective it was abandonment and she was a child at the time meaning that her view on it is very VERY different from the two grown adults. We as humans also quite literally rewrite our memories when we remember things. Its suffice to say that she very well could have thought she was telling the truth.
@@powerfullpummel6417 well you see the problem is her making it public, whether she thought it was truth or not. It is actually a very private matter that she decided to make everyone's business for no reason other than getting attention. This is really something she should have discussed with him to clear it out, to understand why he did what he did, found out his side of the story, etc. No, instead she goes "this man abandoned us in order to pursue breakdancing, also he would never pay for my medical bills". Make her own dad look like a deadbeat good-for-nothing scumbag to the public eye. Legally speaking, that's enough to sue her for defamation, public humiliation and what have you. Out of this situation, its crazy how they just don't point to the mom. He's being considerate for her, and Maddie just seems to have her on a pedestal to not even conceive that maybe the present parent didn't do jack for parenting.
It’s common in divorced households for the parents to pit their children against their former spouses. This is probably a case of one parent simply poisoning the well.
If your dad pays alimony to me that's the bare minimum (Which is completely fine). If he wants to help more then sure but you can't complain when he is paying what the court ordered him to pay.
@@nickwilliams5967 I think this also has a lot to do with the culture in California. If you genuinely believe we live in a patriarchy and men are r@ping everything. Then all of the contempt and entitlement suddenly makes sense. They are taught to be toxic in that state. Take the gender pay gap. It reflects the fact men work longer hours to contribute to their families. Yet they twist that sacrifice into something to be resentful over "The wage gap". Yet in the U.S. healthcare is up to 30% of your compensation. Businesses in the U.S. spend 2x as much on women's healthcare. Yet your job gives it to both genders as if they are the same. Meaning men are being forced to subsidize the healthcare of their female coworkers. Yet no one ever taught us to be bitter or resentful about it. We just accept that it is the way it is because women need the help.
@@user-dc2zh2il3w The thing is, most women don't think all men are horrible people, it's an exaggeration. Plus, there are many situations where men still hold much more power over women, (albeit things are much more equal now and in some situations lopsided) mostly due to stereotyping of male/female behaviors. (Women being less "logical" and therefore their opinions matter less) Women (in general) don't just attack any man over wage gap issues, it's going to be those in power. As for Healthcare, businesses spend more on women's Healthcare (mostly due to pregnancy), which has led to problems where many will simply not hire someone for a job because they are pregnant or have the chance of becoming pregnant (hence why you can't ask if someone is expecting to start a family in job applications) There's also that yes, many (again, not close to all) do use these to be bitter and resentful towards women, and I'd imagine more would be if stuff like the Healthcare facts were more well known. Hell, even facts get muddied in the waters and get turned into mistruths a lot. There's a lot of things both genders are taught to hate about the other and it gets amplified tenfold by the internet, who love to generalize about groups of people. (Women doing manual labor and men doing childcare gets a looot of people from both genders saying crazy things.) It seems like looking at things case-by-case is just impossible for a lot of people. Truth is, just like the daughter and the dad, people just spend way too much time listening to the craziest stuff on the internet and it's affecting everyone's perception on things. The daughter seems like she just wants clout and lied about her dad (her dad provided decent evidence to show she was lying tbh), and her mom might have also been lying to her too. The dad seems to go off the rails towards the end about "school indoctrination to woke ideologies" when most of the time it's just kids hearing about stuff from the internet or a single misinterpreted headline of a single school that gets blown out of proportion. A class will talk about sexism in historical terms and it gets twisted as "woke" despite being part of the curriculum for decades because people who dont go to school hear some rando go crazy about it. Both these people just need to go to therapy to talk it out but instead put it on the internet for the world to see. It's just a "please log off" situation, nobody here is really likeable (especially if the racism story for the dad is true.)

He even paid for the lease on her house and paid half for her car once she moved out. He just didn't pay for a therapist after she broke up with her boyfriend. I know I wouldn't. Not because I don't believe therapy helps, but because a break up is definitely not something that needs therapy. Also she spent way more time with her dad than I have with mine and I wouldn't call my dad a runaway. Like her dad my dad paid for child support each month and I got to see him for 4 weeks total each year. 2 weeks in the summer in Switzerland where I was born and he lives and 2 weeks in Sweden where my mother moved with us after the divorce. This dad clearly cares for his daughter. Obviously he's clearly leans a bit much on the right side politically (both sides if leaned on too much is just headache inducing imo. Both have valid problems, but the ones that lean too much sees non existing problems and think of extreme methods. Now he does not use extreme methods as far as I'm aware, but saying therapy is "woke" (a word that has lost it's meaning) is definitely a problem that isn't there. Therapy does cost too much and current education especially with how jobs work today is a total scam though.), but he has done nothing wrong when it comes to raising her. Like she said in her second response they only met once every 2 months like that's much more than I met my dad. And I still love him and my mum. @@PurpleAquasMonkey Thing is we also don't know the terms of custody. Just as likely that he was not around as much as he should be (however you quantify that) he might just not have been allowed to. Since we know for a fact that she lied about those initially, it makes me much more suspicious about all her other claims, since she has shown that she will lie for victimhood clout online.
I can’t remember what it’s called but it’s a logical fallacy where you latch onto some irrelevant mistake once you begin losing an argument. The point of the argument was “my dad was neglectful and abandoned me.” The dad proved through text message receipts and family videos/photos that he did indeed have a presence in her life, he just simply wasn’t living in the same house due to a divorce. At this point, she has already lost the argument. She made a claim, and the dad proved that said claim was objectively false. However, the dad also exaggerated her follower count, and was wrong on this point. So the daughter switches gears and instead attacks the fact the said she millions of followers. The argument is no longer about whether or not he was neglectful. But since the argument started out like that, she’s hoping that by proving he lied about her follower count, that means he loses the argument, therefore she wins, thus proving he was indeed neglectful. Basically, she lied, realized her dad had proof what she said was lies, so now she’s switching gears in an attempt to win the argument, because if she does so then less logical people will interpret it as “she won the follower count argument, therefore she is right and he is neglectful.” She’s just trying to save face after being outed as dishonest and, in a way, manipulative of her fans.

@@solidway She will be ok, she has a good dad. I think in a way it humanizes both people. We are so used to seeing just the surface on social media that can be canned, packaged and marketed. Here we got a nuanced view and a reminder that families and divorces are complicated and it is possible for two people being a victim of a situation without one of them being a "bad guy". There doesn't always need to be a villian for people to have hurt feelings and trauma. Good men can fall short of their children's expectations, good women can place blame where it probably shouldn't. The fact the mom didn’t set up a mini trust for them (allegedly- I have no idea, just assuming because if her saying she had medical bills) shows she didn’t focus on investing - the kids had a nice lifestyle and she may have made them think there was more money to get
I've seen that many many times, actually... the dad gives a lot of money but the children aren't aware, everything "feels" provided for by the mother only and she makes sure that's the narrative, and whenever there's a financial hurdle it's "go ask your dad, if he loves you he should give you stuff, he never does anything for you so maybe about time and you see that I have no money and I always do everything blabla...". There's no consideration of where the money is going what is happening and obviously the children are not aware and it's not their fault but that's how in the end some father who are not garbage get "hated" by some of their children because of narratives created by the mother and since they're not here to defend themselves all the time well... Obviously it's not always the case, deadbeat dads exist, but it's not always as it seems...

(Women being less "logical" and therefore their opinions matter less)
Women (in general) don't just attack any man over wage gap issues, it's going to be those in power. As for Healthcare, businesses spend more on women's Healthcare (mostly due to pregnancy), which has led to problems where many will simply not hire someone for a job because they are pregnant or have the chance of becoming pregnant (hence why you can't ask if someone is expecting to start a family in job applications)
There's also that yes, many (again, not close to all) do use these to be bitter and resentful towards women, and I'd imagine more would be if stuff like the Healthcare facts were more well known.
If the dude paid 18k a month 5 million total, and the girl never saw it, then that's the mothers fault

Odds are just as likely he was forced out by the ex, and she did a good job of convincing the children that their dad hates them and abandoned them when that wasn't what happened. A fairly common occurance in divorce.
Nope. Hes a millionaire and ex wanted to be greedy and got alimony too. 😂
@@PurpleAquasMonkey Thing is we also don't know the terms of custody. Just as likely that he was not around as much as he should be (however you quantify that) he might just not have been allowed to. Even without court order custody splits the fact they lived with their mother meant she was the one that controlled when and if he got time with them simply by refusing or allowing him near their house.
my favorite part of the vid is when she gets really mad and says "did nobody fact check my follower count!?!?" ... girl did you fact check how much money your dad gave you before talking in the first place?
Yea the dad saying that felt fairly innocuous to me, like he was conflating engagement with followers. Her post went viral so there were millions of people viewing and commenting on it. But it's the one thing she can point to and say "hah you're absolutely wrong" while also being completely unbothered by ignorantly dragging her dad across TT.
I was about to say the same! That girl is so self-absorbed and entitled that she will say that not even realising she's done the same BS when she started this "war"!
Does it really matter if people were wrong about her follower numbers? She trashed her Dad and he showed the proof that she was wrong.
They both seem to be they're exaggerating because they're emotional. He's showing pictures and videos but we don't know how often the time was spent. It could've been a few hours and that would feel like the parent is barely there for a kid. Kids don't think there should be a "schedule" to be with parents
@@lawrencelawrence8553except she changes the true every damn response
Exactly. She KNOWS she was completely in the wrong because the only comeback she could come up with "they got my sub count wrong." Like girl you are focusing on the smallest sub plot to avoid accountability 😂
@@lawrencelawrence8553 I don't think he can prove that he was heavily involved in raising her, but he *absolutely* proved that she was lying about him being a deadbeat dad who didn't financially support her or her sisters at all.
Basically, she lied, realized her dad had proof what she said was lies, so now she’s switching gears in an attempt to win the argument, because if she does so then less logical people will interpret it as “she won the follower count argument, therefore she is right and he is neglectful.”
She’s just trying to save face after being outed as dishonest and, in a way, manipulative of her fans.

13:45 "I'm learning so much about this family" Too much, even. Something that terrifies me about the current times is that anything (no matter how private you think it is) can be turned into international drama at any time.
That's what terrifies me too. She made a story time to her 70.000 followers how she has daddy issues because of an absent father who chose his breakdancing career over his kids. That's it. Now millions of people on the internet are imposing a false narrative on her so that she fits into the stereotype of an ungrateful, left-liberal feminist Tik Tok influencer who apparently stands for everything that is evil in this world.
That doesn't mean these people are bad, that doesn't make the hurt feelings less real. It is a shame it had to be so public, but maybe people can learn from this and there is a silver lining. Careful once you enter the breakdance zone you may never leave, you’ll be instantly transported out of this plane
@@artimus4198you mean you never stop spinning?
@@osmo1205 no you simply cease to exist
@@osmo1205 Ah, yes, the infinite spin.
I whole heartedly believe this is a very well put together Father/Daughter collab to increase their social media presence. She is a Hollywood screen writer after all. Pretty smart if you ask me.
Plus collaboration with Charlie!
You can't wake someone pretending to be asleep. If she's awake, no amount of letting her know the truth of her situation isn't already reaching her.
If i was going to be abandoned I guess a breakdancing side quest wouldn't be the worst thing
And a couple million payoff. Chick's living life on easy mode but still wants to be a victim.

Yeah, it’s better than your mum just moving house without you and not speaking for 25yrs. 😂

She just resents his success/wealth.
If you truly dislike/hate someone, you don't meet up for Christmas dinner and take smiling pictures with them.
Or keep asking them for money to support your lifestyle well into your mid twenties
This!
you really don't seem to understand how a broken family with an absent father works. my dad showed up once a year max & he always acted like "the cool dad", joking, laughing, buying stuff etc. - that doesn't change the fact that he doesn't know a single thing about me, didn't participate in raising me at all etc.
and a holiday picture doesn't mean shit. you realize faking a smile for pictures is... well... a thing people do. right?
@@tezix5172 He gave them millions of dollars and paid for their housing, food, education, etc. That’s the complete opposite of “absent”.
And again, you don’t meet up with people you hate to take happy pictures with them. They’re all full grown adults with zero obligation to do anything with him, yet they all do. You’re just wrong.
@@FBZOMBlES again - the times i've seen people pretending to like each other, talk, spend time together, take pictures etc... you're actually delusional if you think this doesn't happen lol.

"gave us some money growing up" bro 2 million off the start plus 18k a month in child support is some money to this girl? The privilege astounds me
That’s not even enough to cover their yacht payments. I bet they had to sell a Summer home just to keep up their lifestyle.
Seriously. This girl sounds a bit entitled.
I have a feeling the mother is gaslighting the daughter and keeping the real amount of money from her daughter. If her daughter really can't see that 2 million and 18 GODDAMN THOUSAND a month is not wealthy then she's fucking delusional.
Yet she needed therapy
like she couldn't handle the low payments

I empathized with the dad at first but he lost me when he equated therapy to brainwashing. Mental health is still health. And this family seems like it needs a TON of counseling.
Mental health is health true. But "counselling therapy sessions"is not cure. Psychology counsellor charges u by minutes for "curing" ur disease. Do u think they will give u best way out before they sucked off enough money from u? i have a degree in psychology i know how those businesses works out
@@chrisjuan9249 I agree that solely depending solely on therapy without continuing to practice self-care is not good. It's like only taking medicine on days you see the doctor. It's consulting a medical professional as needed because you need help.
I am sorry that you've experienced corruption and greedy behavior from psychologists. I can relate. My abusive parents were able to sway my high school therapist into talking about how I was a burden to my parents. It was...traumatic.
But I have found a really good doctor that I'm seeing now. She's gone out of her way to support me, even cutting her fees in half indefinitely while I'm struggling with medical bills, and she communicated with ADS at my uni to make sure I had proper accommodations. She really does have my best interest at heart. It seems improbable that she's the only good one.
