With more than 3,000 comments here, I wish I could answer each of your personally -- well 98% of you. Actually, I wish I could hug most of your in person. I had no idea this video (or several videos) would strike such a chord with folks. Many of you have been abused by the system much worse than I have. The only difference between me and you is I'm telling the story (or some of it) in public. Most just suffer in silence and are beaten down.
Maybe I'll host a gathering sometime soon in some central location, and we can all just hang out for a few days and get to know each other.
What do you think about that idea?

I want to thank you all for the (99%) very supportive and constructive comments here. You should also know that story on my ex is actually waaay more insane than what I've told here. I've held a lot back -- which I'll bring out later if necessary. I can't respond to you all individually right away because there are so many comments.
I will say I have a great wife now. We've been married for 18 years. No issues. She's not steeped in America's entitled culture. She's a Laotian immigrant who escaped Communism.
After the Communists conquered Laos in 1975, Wanda's mom and oldest sister planned the family's escape in 1978. This is a story similar to KILLING FIELDS.
Being the youngest daughter, Wanda went with her mom. Other family members took different routes out. The dad stayed in Laos.
Wanda and her mom made their escape through the jungle. Made it across the Mekong River to Thailand in the dead of night. Wanda and her mom got separated. Wanda (age 13) walked for 5 days and nights before reaching the refugee camp.
Stayed there for 18 months before making it to America, arriving in November of 1979 in San Francisco with 2 dresses and 1 pair of sandals.
This story is actually way more insane than this. This is just the outline.
I've never met a tougher more resilient person. Wanda's mom suffered a stroke soon after arriving in America. So Wanda essentially had to raise herself, though also had an older brother who became the father figure.
Wanda was put in 9th grade in Maryland, not knowing any English. She got through high school with a B average. Took some classes at Community college, including desktop publishing and typing classes.
She got hired by GEICO to do data entry and layout the corporate newsletter. She took more community college classes on how to be a legal secretary. She applied and was moved to GEICO's legal department.
She was "Employee of the Month" for the whole corporation 5 times.
On weekends, she worked as an assistant for a big realtor. She learned about real estate investing and started buying rental properties to rent out. She was doing very well -- on the way to getting rich before we met.
She mocks the victim mentality so many Americans have, who complain about how tough life is.
Again, thank you all for caring enough to comment.

Hey Ben, I'm the son of the father who was exactly in your situation. My entire upbringing he fought tooth and nail in the courts to see us, supported my family with child support, only for us children to be brainwashed by our mother growing up that he was some evil man. Most of us didn't fall for it, or at times, only briefly. Visitation was often used as a bartering chip for more child support and there would be years that would pass that I wouldn't be able to see my father. I remember the exact situation of him getting a house down the street just to stay near to us only to not be able to see us while my mother brought other men around.
Speaking with him as an adult now regularly, he opened about the amount of pain he endured at losing the chance to raise his children. As I have gotten older, I've realized just how much work he put in from afar to make sure I was in a good house, had good food, and went to good schools. I appreciate you speaking up on behalf of all men that have been forced out of their children's lives by courts and divorces. I'm sure your daughter will realize what a great dad you've been in spite of the divorce.
Great video and love the kindness you still show your daughter in spite of the accusations of being a deadbeat dad.

im the son of a father who did the opposite. they got divorced when i was 7 and he moved 1 hour away. 1 hour. and from 8 to 18 you know how many times i saw him? TOTAL ? 12. twelve times in 10 years, and he lived 1 hour away.
He also didnt have any money and never gave any money. the agreement of the divorce was that he would give the title of the house to my mother, and neve rpay any child support. the house had a value at the time of about $250k and the total equity was only about 60k. ie there was still a mortgage with 190k on the house which my mother took complete ownership of and it took her another 20 years to pay it off (which she didnt actually achieve, she ended up moving, at the time sold the house for 320 but owed 95 or so so she only got about 200 before paying the realestate agents and taxes.
my father who lived an hour away never paid for anything for me. not my school trips, nothing. he spent maybe $150 a year on presents for my birthday and christmas. which 9 out of those 10 years simply came in the mail.
again, he lived just 1 hour away.
for the last 5 years of my life, i have been COMMUTING TO WORK one hour each direction.
also for anyone wondering, they divorced because he was a raving alcoholic who often got violent and screamed and yelled and acted like a child and refused to stop drinking. one time he actually climbed under my moms truck during an argument and attempted to kick the drive shaft off the truck. needless to say this man was and likely still is a complete fucking moron. i believe he is still alive and still lives in the same place. which by the way, the place he moved 1 hour away: His mothers house. where he still lives to this day, 30 years later. i think he is in his 70s now and i often think about what i am going to do IF i ever receive a letter/phone call about going to his funeral. should i even go? should i piss on his corpse? would he even bother to leave me any money from the value of his Moms house ? lol.
what i know for certain is the girl in this video is an entitled fucking bitch and everyone should boycott every script/movie she ever rights. fuck that bitch she has no fucking clue what abandonment is. just a narcissist, just like her garbage mother.

Well, it ain't just the men. My judge for taking away my ex's custody had just got divorced from his wife and was still hating women. Thank God the children were allowed to speak to the judge in chambers. I took away his shared custody because of his wife's abuse BUT I didn't get a penny to help raise the kids. I didn't care. I was just happy to get the 3 kids away from the step-mother. So, no, IT'S NOT JUST MEN treated unfairly in court. Found out much later that the step-mother has a bad case of Bipolar Disorder. She is very smart, but very bipolar. She abused the kids AND me with her very thought out and twisted ways. My ex-husband is a coward whose balls are tightly held by an actual crazy person. He stopped talking to the kids when they wanted to live with me. Now they're grown and he still chooses to love his 2nd set of kids and ignore his first 3. It hurts them. They don't understand why he's like this. Grown kids still want love and attn from both parents. I only wish I could give them a loving father, instead, they've got a dickhead. MOST WOMEN RAISE THE CHILDREN ON THEIR OWN, MANY WITHOUT A CENT FROM THE FATHER, but the wife and judge here are completely wrong for this. Too bad Ben's daughters are so short-sighted. How stupid to be so spoiled to not want a relationship with a decent father. Shame on their mother.

It is a sad reality that we often take for granted that which we are born with, even if by other people’s standards we are living a life of luxury.
Sometimes you have to explore other people’s way of life or go through some turmoil to appreciate the simple things that make our lives much better.
Lacking money can make you have problems and be very unhappy, but having lots of money doesn’t mean you are happy and don’t have problems.
Oftentimes, unhappiness is harder to solve if you are wealthy. If you are poor and unhappy, more money might improve your life and make you happier. if you are rich and unhappy, more money probably won’t solve your problems as they aren’t money related.

He agreed to terms where his family could move wherever his ex wants, instead of having them stay put where he could have had a recurring time to claim his children. His ex would be unable to refuse this.
He wanted his ex to be a stay at home mom, she didn't need to move for employment. He could "make money anywhere". Giving his family over 1.5 million right after the divorce is commendable.
He couldn't pay all of the support he agreed to. Recieved a sentence from a man hating judge and learned some life lessons from Big Daddy and the cell block after that.
He got out and found out an immigrant woman at a karaokee bar. Maxed her credit card and his own in an effort to build himself back up. Successfully building an online business. Big Daddy and the cell would be proud.
He attempts to reconnect with his family, who live in a different place. He drops his family off at his Ex's house. He steals his Ex's Ipod and retreats into his car, as his Ex chases him and her property. His Ex physically makes contact with him and enters the vehicle. He removes her from his vehicle and leaves with her stolen property. Later throwing it out of his window at the homestead. Big Daddy would not have approved, because there may have been evidence on the stolen Ipod.
He took some de-escalation classes. However, his Ex attempts to remove his right of visitation and is unsuccessful. He moved closer to the family and would see them once a week for a while. Exercising options he conceded the first time.
The kids are teens at this point and his daughters are uninterested in hanging out with him. He has pictures of himself with the family, almost all at a vacation or graduation. He takes up break dancing as a way to stay fit, becoming financially successful along with it. He then invests and champions a crypto currency he can hide from his Ex.
His entitled daughter grows up and critiques his life choices in an online video. He responds like his de-escalation class taught him and both become online characters.

Not only did she try to ruin you, your reputation and your business but she tried to come between you and your children. The later is unforgivable. As a son who had his dad taken to jail for a year over child support after he lost his job and wasn't being able to immediately pay child support this really opened up some old wounds for me. Many nights I cried thinking about my dad in jail and I was forced to live 24/7 with the parent who put him there while being forced to obey/respect them or face their wrath but the worst part was hearing her gloat about how she was the better parent just because she had the money. Judges do not care about the damage they do to the children who just want a parent to be present, children don't care about how big their bank account is. The system isn't being used to help children, its being used to enrich angry spouses and the lawyers. It really bums me out to know this all still goes on to this day. He is the one that stayed by his father's side while the others are (hopefully soon to be) the prodigal children.
Also I want to just say something from my personal experience as a kid from the same age group (born in 2000) who also had divorced parents. My dad for a time worked as a tankerman on the Mississippi. We lived in east Texas so he would leave for months then come back to Texas for a couple of weeks. Some would say "Oh he is a terrible father for prioritizing work over his children like that!" But the reality was that he had to pay child support and alimony while also trying to scrounge up enough money to buy us presents and take us to places like NASA, which I fondly remember. He also had us as dependents on his insurance, so payment for medical expenses ultimately came from him. All of this takes allot of money and unlike Ben here, he did not have a business or a high paying corpo job, he was just a regular working class guy. Later he worked in the Texas Prison system mainly so we could get better insurance while he also worked on getting a retirement. Seeing this the judge tried to give him a somewhat 'reasonable' rate of child support. But my mom was not satisfied, so she accused him of child abuse of the... unsavory kind. Fortunately the judge saw through her crap with both her demeaner and solid evidence against her claims. The judge promptly lowered the amount needed to be payed in alimony. Of course I did not learn any of this until I was much much older, but I will say that my mother did do one thing right by me and my sister as she did not feed us lies about our father. I think she deep down wanted us to have a healthy relationship with him and so today all of us get along just fine. I currently live with my dad as I get a more stable job while my sister lives with her husband and 3 daughters whom often visit and are under the care of my mother and her mother whenever my sister and brother-in-law are working. We are not perfect, we have our problems but looking back it has all been uphill. Though we may have scars, we don't resent each other for what happened. I believe that is what Ben is trying to achieve, harmony. I believe that because my father has never shown anger toward me or my sister, he may have been disappointed at times but he always says "Don't let it bother you, we will make it work." People do stupid things when they are upset and I myself am most certainly no exception. The best way forward with Bens family is for all sides to simply, stop. Have one evening to talk and let bygones be bygones. Though that may sound like a demand, I say more like advice as it has worked for us. I hope Ben and his family will be able to work out their issues and be a family. An unbroken family is a family is a family yet broken, a broken family is a family yet mended and a mended family is a family.

If she truly wants her screenplay to resonate, it might do well to pivot and center on your narrative. I hate this story. Not because I don't believe it, but because I grew up as the child in a situation like this. My mother turned me and my sister against my father. Always talking bad about him and men in general. As you could imagine that did wonders on my self-image growing up trying to figure out how to be a man without a father figure. Every time we called our father, my mother told us to ask him for money. It made me imagine him as an ATM. I hated the women he dated as any little time I spent with him I never wanted to share with anyone else. He eventually remarried and I didn't treat his new wife very well. This was only exacerbated by my mothers encouragement. Eventually I grew up and got a "real job", and moved on with my life. No longer dependent on either parent I was able to see the situation more clearly. When he died of cancer, I was 35 years old with a young family myself. I was able to tell him a month before he passed about how sorry I was and that I wish I had grown up living with him instead of my mom. That also made me appreciate his "new" wife, my step-mother much more because in that moment of his death I realized she too loved my father.
That judge mentioned in this video should be in jail, btw.

With my jaw tightening, I added, "If you take everything from me, I'll take EVERYTHING from you. Go ahead, test me. This is not a bluff -- I'm not a good liar."
She kind of acted like she thought I was half joking. I said, "Go ahead. Do it. See what happens."
This is among the many reasons I'm not with anyone. They would've tested me long before I married them and I would've dumped them. If I had gotten married, and someone put me through what his vvife did, I wouldn't be able to get over my ruined reputation. I'd rather the world see me as a an "ender of spouse" than a cuck.
This is proably happening every day in the US but news won't cover it because they want men to think marriage is still about love or family or generational wealth. It's not. It's a state extortion scheme which nobody asked for. Men don't realized what it is until they're in the jaws of it.
The only winning move is to refuse to play. Once refusal to play isn't enough, it's kinetic war against any agent of the state in any costume they care to wear.
Our government is no longer legitimate. They don't follow any form of law which has been set down by the West. They're no longer representatives of the People -- they're parasites upon the people -- that's what taxes are. The proportion of your disposable income they take from you is the proportion of legitimacy they merit. For me, that's about 90% illegitimate... which we can just round up to 100.
Your mileage may vary. You get the government you tolerate. Men have become tolerant of more indignities than any of our founders would've permitted.

The length he went to lie is astounding..It was the most earth shattering realization for me.. and after I reconnected with my mom, he then came after me and tried to character smear me, and tried to ruin my husband, business and emotionally harm my children. Idk I'm still conflicted cos money doesn't make up for not having a full time Dad there as you grow up. Kids of divorced parents do have it pretty rough, even if they live in a mansion or whatever. Granted, he sounded sincere and genuinely wanted to maintain a relationship with them, but that isn't good enough imo. If you have kids (which is already a pretty selfish thing to do given they have no say in being born), then you're obligated to hang around full time and help raise them until they're at least 18. Anything less is irresponsible and self-serving greed. Obviously there are exceptions, for example if the wife is threatening your life or the lives of your kids (which doesn't sound like the case here). If the wife wanted to get divorced, then it's on her, but as a man, you don't walk away from your kids in any way, shape or form. From this perspective, I have less respect for Ben and it logically follows he is part of the reason his daughter is an unhinged, attention seeking nutcase. Were he there to help raise her on a daily basis. things could've been different.

You provided and sacrificed all u could but at this point no contact is the only option because people with npd/bpd will never ever stop once their true colours were exposed. Their enflamed rage to get revenge is truly scary and very dangerous. Your two videos cleared out any negative inaccuracies they claimed - you are a true inspiration for men who get into this situation and usually get financially destroyed but u were able to invest and put in the work and get out on the winning end and spent as much quality time with your kids as you were able to. You provided, you sacrificed and tried your best. Im glad not all kids are against you which also shows you are a great human being and loving dad. People without a political agenda and true human empathy will agree that u definetly arent the person in the wrong - u admited many times that u also made mistakes that u wish to protect your kids while the other party hasnt and will never ever do - its their mental health state that doesnt allow them to. Personality disorders are super hard to fix and it takes a lot of self-questioning, accountability and years of healthy therapy but they will avoid it with all their might and put the blame on anything and anyone till the very end. I had the same fear. I realized most of that is do to the fact that they get sent to public school where they get brainwashed into being hard core radical leftists. You raise your kid perfectly for them to be brainwashed in 4 years of college. Happened to my own family. My brother was perfectly normal until he went to college, comes back an insane person. I wouldn't let your kids go to school anymore, not even prior to college, it's all about LGBT Bs now. Home school and pray that they don't get brainwashed. I will say if you have a daughter, you're probably F'd. The women are way more sheepish than the men and just fall in line usually. Best bet is to move. idk im just rambling, it's tough, society is so messed up atm.

@@dutchdykefinger I think it's usually fathers being far more lenient with daughters, at least in my experience. Mothers know girls better, they don't fall for their emotional manipulation so readily.
Absolutely accurate on women looking up to the fathers, whole men love their mothers. But the fathers need to know it's their duty to be strict in some regard, they have to instill discipline. It's not their job to be best friends.
My parents have 8 kids together, we can all agree dad was very strict when we were kids, and we even feared him. Today we all have a good relationship with him, even if we recount stories of unjust punishments. And since I have such a big family, I can tell you what a drastic difference there is between the eldest and youngest sibling
The younger ones are far more spoiled, because he got softer over the years, they're also much less grateful for everything provided to them. Those of us who were treated the harshest are the most grateful ones and have to tell them to shut up and realise they're not owed anything.
