OMG love the video, glad it came up on my channel. We just brought a home and have no idea what to do with all the space...seeing this video my brain when crazy so many great ideas. I joined the family for sure.
Thank you 🙋🏽♀️ you saved me from over spending and I found this video while looking for the Wayfai* 💝 I think I found a place where I just might fit in 👍🏽
If you have rusty shower hooks (guilty), I'm not going to decorate rust with ribbons. Sometimes you need to buy new hooks that don't rust. However, the faux garage door windows are genius!!! We need a new garage door but we don't want to upgrade in our price. We had already decided to put the barn door handles on the new one but adding the "windows" has me downright giddy!
Hannah Russell lol Ikr but you can actually get LOTs of small ones and sex them together like a patchwork creating the same feel mix and match and make an uniqe result but I would recommend to pick two or three colours or a group of similar shades of colour like natural, pastells, sea related or something like that
Upgrades that will make my home look more expensive? Why would I need that? Nicer, cozier, more comfortable, funnier, brighter, darker, more artistic, and so on would be understandable… but more expensive… what for? Is a dream home about showing off?
David Xavier In some parts of the country and in some sad-ass families, it most certainly does. Almost everyone knows at least one person who just HAS to tell you how much s/he paid for stuff even if it's obviously overpriced crap. In my case, my sister can't shut up about her pricey possessions (as if anyone gives a damn). I love this video; I'm going to use several of these and other decorating ideas just to make my new place which she hasn't seen yet look super expensive and exclusive to drive her insanely crazy with jealousy. It'll give me great pleasure seeing her turn green. Will I tell her the real cost? Hell, no! I won't have to say a thing. I'll keep it all low key during my open house while looking for that left eye of hers to start twitching; that's a sure sign her danders up! Not only am I good at carpentry, I'm also an artist. So my place will be comfortable, warm, artistic, romantic, and beautifully tailored. She'll be frothing at the mouth in no time. Does all that make me a bad person? Hell, no! I cared for our mother and brother until they both died from cancer all by myself. And I continue to care for our dad (who will be living with me) alone. Does or did she ever volunteer to help with doctor's appointments, offer financial support, or speak encouraging words? Hell, no! All she's ever done is criticize what I'M doing and come up with lame excuses on why she can't help. But she has NO problem telling me about her expensive vacations and the cost of her newest electronic devices. Even my sainted father laughed over my idea to make her batty. He finally realizes what a selfish wench she actually is. For some of us, it's not about showing off to another but showing her up that counts. Otherwise, I totally agree with you. 😉
Uuugghh exceptions to every rule and if I used ribbon to tie up curtains what happens when you want to draw or open the curtains, even on tab tops, which are material it got on my last nerves trying to yank them across, I took the curtains off the pole, located where I'd stored the metal rings that went with that curtan rod and sewed the metal rings inside the tab hoops, of course it worked and prevented me from yanking the rods off the wall because I got so angry and frustrated with opening the darned things, plaster, screws, curtains, the whole lot would come crashing down..so annoying is an understatement!
My friend had a 2 million dollar home and her framed TV looked hideous in the living room, don't do it! Very tacky. Some other great ideas though, thanks!
So ALL of the viewers should take your advice, based your one friend? ....not to mention, you're likely the one with the worst sense of style. ...and a shitty friend, to boot. One thing's clear: you inappropriately equate cost and quality.
System32 I got rid of my TV way back in 1995. Loved it. Since 2015, I've lived with an elderly parent who has it on CNN all the time. I long for the silence.
You dared to say most people were using the WRONG size rugs, yet advocate the use of pom poms? You clearly should not be giving design advice. Just because you like rugs a certain way does not mean those who do not are wrong! It means some people’s tastes are different than yours.
Seeing this is a perfect example the light switch covers with the picture frames super glued to them and then painted and put back up on the wall I would have rather you taken another minute and a half to five minutes and shown Through Time Lapse how you actually did that small project because indeed that was a small project in the scheme of things through this video and it would give more to the video itself. Especially if you were the one that I actually tried and did it and it worked and you went with it. But again that's just my opinion I'm not trying to be negative or rude or throw shade at you please don't think that because you can't hear my voice. I have no ill-will towards you I would just like to see better content and I know this is a four-year-old video and I'm only seeing it in 2020 but nevertheless these are some Timeless ideas and they're great ideas I just wish you would go through them and more great detail than you do and slowed down.
Se supone que la casa debe de estar llena de marcos ? Mejor no quedarse quieto mucho rato por ahi !!! haber si le encuadran la cara u otra cosa , ya es empalagoso !!!!
sadly when our mansion was built a interior designer was hired and my parents have said with DIY our mansion will look unprofessional so if I want to add anything in mansion so I can call a interior designer
I wish I could stick around and stay a sub to this channel because I love the content like I said last time on the last video. However you do not have to squeeze your 32 ideas into 12 minutes like Speedy Gonzales on crack you're one step away from that speed. And I just I don't like it. It's just really great ideas and you're blowing through them just stay in a 12 minute and 30 second time frame. As a creator you should know now they're doing this as many years as you have that social media and RUclips itself has changed and I understand you want to make as much from your AdSense however I have premium so I never see an ad and if I had to watch a million ads every 3 seconds through a 12-minute video I would be extremely pissed off instead of calmly stating what I really think you should consider changing as a Creator and slowing down or lengthening the videos. But that's just my opinion it's your Channel and your subs. In the way RUclips is ripping people's Subs away from them and not even giving notifications out anymore I would want the constructive criticism.
Ok so you have a metal rack shelf in your garage and your answer is to put a cover over it and hide it?! I don't understand why women think that THIS IDEA (of hiding everything from sight) is "practical"!!! And more so when it comes to the garage!!! Trust me if you are forcing your guests to constantly use your garage space then maybe you ought to reconsider WHO your friends are, if they judge you by what you have in your garage, and secondly maybe you ought to reexamine your life style if you have that many people in your home that YOU NEED to stash them in the garage to begin with!!!! It used to drive me ABSOLUTELY NUTS that my wife wanted all my things "hidden from view" all the time, more so when I was in the middle of working on stuff!! It makes it damn near impossible to get things done when I have to spend literally an hour digging around through shelves behind curtains and doors and in "spare rooms" or stash spots just to find a screwdriver or even the box of nails I was looking for!!! And further if it takes me two hours to find the materials I need to begin with then that "five minute fix" might take me four and a half hours to actually do just because I have to constantly locate, dig out, chase down and DISCOVER, WHERE my stuff is hidden at!! And my wife (now ex wife) was HUGE on "stash that away, out of sight out of mind" as though we lived in a "charmed life" where nothing ever breaks or needs repair!!! Sorry ladies for sounding like a jerk here BUT like they said in the movie The Breakfast Club "It is an imperfect world and screws fall out all the time!"
Well said. A garage is a garage. House is the house. House is clean, garage is messy from work. An organized messy, but messy nonetheless. If you don't want to see the messy garage where work is being done, don't go in there. Need a place to store your unwanted's? Get rid of them, basement or attic. Garage is for tools, machines, parts and liquids needed. Not woven baskets of bullshit.
Large area rugs are.expensive usually. I go to carpet remnant store and choose a diamond or other patterned print (-a tall twist is ok just as long as it doesn’t look like the regular flat wall to wall stuff. Then I have it bound. Works great for a fraction of the cost.
"This project is SOOO EASY!! All you need is basic power tools and some carpentry skills."................ Yeah, I don't have either one of those, so.....
First some of these ideas you need to be careful because in a lof states their illegal. An example using rubber mats in front of the heating register. Not ony is that dangerous building code says that mothing should be infront of on the sides by 3 feet of those registers to avoice a fire hazard. Second painting your vinyl floor can lead to not only devaluing your property, but it can lead to hazards such as the floor being overly slippery, paint peeling and being harmful to pets and small human. Inclosing your tv can shorten the life of it. Adding wood to your bathroom, vs wood tile instead. Understand that bathrooms generate a lot of moisture, that wood will warp and can cause harm by adding black mold if not careful. Make sure you know the weight your light fixtures can handle. If you hang something fro the ceiling and that socket can't handle it you can definately cause that to be pullled out the ceiling, same thing with cabinets, make sure you structures are installed soundly before adding anything to the top of them. Think more on praticality anyway, are you creating more cleaning work for yourself by adding a nother shelf to the kitchen that is high up and is a hassel to reach. If anything for better look why not close off the cabinet from the top, add some molding and make a more finished look to your kitchen.
i actually did some of these dyis and unfortunately made a few holes fortunately my friend told me about the Patch boys within hours they came and patched up the mishaps that i have done and got my space looking back to new
I like how she giving credit for the ideas to the right person.

LOVE, LOVE THE IDEAS
I am about to pimp out my bathroom vanity with those 3D Gel tiles!!!!!!!!
There's some really good ideas here! Thx! But..... just say NO to pom-poms! Ha ha ha
FYI, people buy smaller rugs because they are less expensive. The larger the rug the prettier the penny.
guess so
Hannah Russell lol Ikr but you can actually get LOTs of small ones and sex them together like a patchwork creating the same feel mix and match and make an uniqe result but I would recommend to pick two or three colours or a group of similar shades of colour like natural, pastells, sea related or something like that
I always wanted to sex my rugs together!
Lol. Shop around. I always find something affordable. You know how much my queen size bed cost? Absolutely nothing.
@@daveywaves5325 definitely gives rug burn a new meaning!
A lot of good ideas
wntd to take a screwdriver n line those screws in framed light buttons.. 😂🔩
Whoa wait. Liquid stainless steel paint?!? I'm about to paint everything in my house lol
This is a great video! Thanks for sharing!!! I'm planning to purchase a home soon and will definitely be using a few of these!
Love your ideas
I really like the new voice! :-D
Excellent ideas but stainless steel is pretty played out!
Don't frame your TV it does need air as all electricronics generate heat!
The larger rugs do look a lot better but cost an awful lot more...many, as much as a whole new carpet!
Love it
Great tips. Thanks
Fantastiche idee 😍😍😍😍😍😍
Very nice, thank U
Thank you for fixing robot voice

David Xavier unfortunately the world has gone materialistic. A great deal of people now want to show off just how much money they 'supposedly' have.

Really impressive ideas.

Am I the only person who doesnt need a tv? Oo I threw mine out because I never used it and it felt like clutter...
How do you know if someone doesn't have a TV? Don't worry, they will tell you. (From "How do you know someone is a vegan?").
I don't have/need one either. I use my computer -a TV just diminishes the décor and you're right, it feels like clutter.

Not all women think like that, like me, I don't get the purpose. A garage is a garage not a living room or something😂
Never attach tassels to your bedding if you have animals.
I have TWO Cats and they are very playful. So when i watch these DIYs, i am mindful of how could this work in my home....yeah :)
