WOW! A plethora of excellent, ingenious AND attractive ways to not only organize your 'stuff' better, but to recycle, repurpose and reuse all at the same time!
I've watched a couple of your videos and I really like the ideas. If I were younger and had not become semi disabled I'd have my tools and 'stuff' out and I'd be up to my elbows in a couple of the projects. And great ideas never fade away. I'm almost 80 but a couple of things I did in my 20s you've put on your videos. I love all of it. TFS, most of my tools were presents from my husband for my B'days or anniversaries. True love
Awwww! Find a teen or young adult that can trade with you. You talk/walk them through how to do something while they use your beloved tools. They learn life skills, your house becomes more organized. SPICE RACK idea. A few years back, Keurig coffee makers were really the "it" gift. We no longer use one but I still have the under machine single use pod drawer my son gifted to me. I have placed the drawer under my current drip coffee maker. It doesn't take up any extra counter space and my most used spices are handy inside the drawer.
Smart! I still have a very small, cheap Keurig knockoff, it is a terrific quick, not much electricity, machine for hot water. I put the teabag, hot chocolate mix, loose tea infuser, etc in the cup, bingo, that baby delivers the hot water & only takes up about a 6 inch square on the counter. Saved buying a hot water pot!
I’m glad that I’m already doing one of the hacks, a mailbox I turned into holding gloves and gardening tools. I placed it in my pond garden, painted and morning glory vines are making it beautiful!
😍 my favorite, too! Saw it on one of their other videos. Mine has bean vines climbing it. Your Morning Glorys sound prettier, but I couldn't eat them! PS- Marigold petals are delicious & beautiful added to soup or salad. Just take a scissors & cut off the little white 'tails' of the petals, as those can sometimes be bitter. Happy Gardening!
This is one of the best diy storage videos. My daughter is very crafty, so sending it to her ASAP. And, I'm going to make some of these since I live in a smaller apartment. Thanks!
I'd love to be able to store my spices in my kitchen. However, my cupboards are so hot that they dry out in a week and lose their lose effectiveness. Instead, I store all my spices in the door of the refrigerator freezer. They last forever and I only have to use half of what the recipe calls for since spices increase in potency when refrigerated. I hope this information is useful for you.
Excellent! My house gets boiling hot in summer to November. I've been worried about my cupboard items. So, it's okay to refrigerate dry herbs & spices? Thanks so much ❤
@@user-bv1ss5nj9b: I'm glad you found this info helpful. Remember to put them in the "freezer", not the fridge or you will get condensation in the spice container. As a funny note, I still have a 1/4 container of McCormick's Garlic Power (3.12 oz.) that I bought at least 20 years ago when I moved into this apartment. The price of $2.99 is still on the bottom of the container. It's probably the most cost-effective product I've ever bought.
Such great storage ideas, thank you. I have a really small apartment and am always struggling for space. I am able to use many of your ideas now to organize my space more efficiently. Thank you again.
I just moved from a spacious condo into a small apartment and these are excellent ideas. I am going to share them on Facebook. I am so happy I found you.
Love your ideas! So many really good ones! Especially like the one for storing the power bars under the desk, that is amazing! So many others, I'm gonna re-watch pretty sure.
I've been storing my sheet sets in one of the matching pillowcases since I was a young bride in the 70's. It just seemed logical. I loved the wine rack as a towel holder, the decorative handles to hang towels, and the ceiling storage ideas.
Have found the empty creamer bottle is the perfect size for transferring water to the Keurig machine. It fills exactly to the line and is easy to handle for someone with limited dexterity.
Got a free mailbox today on FB Marketplace, going to keep the 3 garden tools I've left sitting out year round on my back step in them, thank you! Very clever.
I'm going to use the pipe cleaners on hangers to keep shirts from sliding off; the curtain rods to keep my scarfs, belts and flip-flops organized; buying a Q-tip dispenser; buying a pretty hanging file holder to hold my hair dryer; and buying a pan organizer. Love it! Thank you for such great ideas!
I tried the shower curtain rings on a clothes hanger for my scarves, and it was a nightmare, because they slide around and roll into each other and they would all wind up on one side. I would say pass on this one. I even put clothes pins between them to keep them from sliding in to one another and they just kept popping off. I'd say pass on this one.
I normally don't bother with videos like this because the ideas aren't very practical but this one is awesome! I've already tried four of your ideas and they worked PERFECTLY! Keep 'em coming! I just hit subscribe and RANG THE BELL!
Love all your ideas. I use a small wine rack (my upright holds 3 and a square one holds 4) to store my different rolling pins and pastry rollers. Also works for those kitchen utensils that don't fit in a drawer or are too tall for the counter. They're a bargain at the thrift store for $1.99 each!
I’m so using the sheets stored in their pillowcases idea it’s brilliant! & my mama keeps her dirty clothes baskets on her floor in her bathroom she will love the stacking idea!! Thanks!

I just got plastic bins at Dollar General to organize my pantry and they were BOGO....what a DEAL and they are tough plastic too and will last forever....the only organizers I have ever bought that were pricy were clear bottles for my seed bead stash. The bottles come 12 to a clear plastic box and I have about 20 boxes. That's a lot of beads but that storage was really important for me to have because size, color, finish, where I bought them, etc. is important to know so I don't use the wrong bead in a project (I am a polymer clay artist and use beads with it). They hold a lot of beads in a small yet highly organized space. I also got little modular clear plastic holders for our kitchen desk drawer to store the optimal amount of stuff in a small space. All other stuff was cheap like plastic rolling sets of drawers, flatware organizers, etc. I just try to hold down the stuff I do have so I don't have to resort to storage hacks much. I'd rather purge my ribbon stash than figure out ways to hold it all, for example. I must admit the cabinet under my kitchen sink is a mess but I can't bend over so cleaning it out necessitates help from someone else.... hubby is a great cook but NOT an organizer at ALL -- his office is a meeesssss!
I save my Rx bottles that have nice lids. Most of the labels will peel off easily, to dispose of, (I never throw away bottles etc. with my name & the meds info. on them! Be sure to destroy that info. some how, BEFRE you throw it in trash!) I put my flower & Vegetable seeds in the empty plastic bottles from Rx.! Works GREAT!
Storing cords up under the desk also keeps them from getting dusty like they would along the floor. If you put an anti static clothes dryer sheet behind your PC or TV, you eliminate dust on back of electronics.
brokenlibrary 2591: What a great idea! I have a huge box of those dryer sheets. I use them when I store my blankets in plastic bags and my clothes in plastic covers. Plus, bugs don't like the smell of them and it keeps them away. Again, thanks for the tip on using the dryer sheets on the back of electronics. Less work for us. I love it!
I've made towel holders from door handles for years. Much nicer looking than other options. Have them in my kitchen both inside and outside of cabinets and in bathroom. I use fishing tackle boxes of different sizes that fit together inside a decorative box as a jewelry box. It's low profile and holds loads of jewelry.
Some I already knew but I learned some new stuff. Thanks for this! I am a repurpose type of person when I can be and I donate and recycle. I have a tip for firepit and bbq enthusiasts, take toilet paper cardboard rolls and stuff with drier lint. It starts the fire well. What else can you do with dryer lint?
@Teri Maue, living in a small apartment without our own laundry appliances, I fold 3 empty toilet paper rolls into a 4th empty toilet paper roll. Works like a charm as fire starter, just like your tip.
Store your pencils etc: glue a cluster of inner tubes of toilet paper (the cluster glued together makes the tubes sturdier) onto cardboard and store different coloured pencils in each one. For storing wet paintbrushes, spray varnish or use water-resistant paint, e.g. gloss paint. Roll knitting yarn around a kitchen roll inner tube. When you need it, put the tube into a kitchen roll holder, the "cake" (even with 100g yarn) will unwind easily. For storage, can also make a small slit at the edge of the cardboard: slit the end of the yarn to prevent it unwinding and to find it easily. If for some reason the kitchen roll holder doesn't stay in place, you can clamp it to the table with a simple clamp from DIY or craft store. Not a storage tip but... To keep your toothbrushes fresh and bacteria-free: put them into a dishwasher! Or if you don't have one, use laundry/thin bleach to soak your toothbrush 15 minutes, wash and rinse well. Burnt food in a pan: put some laundry detergent add warm water and let the enzymes do the work while it is soaking. Then wash normally and rinse well.
I have those 5 lb. containers of powdered coffee creamer. The mouth of the containers are very large. So, it's easy to scoop out the contents. Great for storing my flour, cornmeal, rice and sugar.
Those containers are great...but don't ever strike a match with powdered coffee creamer dust in the air. That stuff is very flammable! Thought it was an urban legend till I saw it myself. Shocked & amazed! Had to switch creamers after that! 🍀 to You!
I have to say that some of these ideas are actually good. I was wondering what I could use to make a "basket" under my desk to hide cables, an extensions, and it never occurred to me to use an actual basket XD

I use paper towel tubes for so many things! My favorite is to keep extension cords tidy & handy. Plus they can lay or stack on shelf in linen closet or pantry!!!
Absolutely LOVE these ideas! Some I knew but others were so smart. Thank you :)
Brilliant ideas and thanks to those that come up with them.
