Not a tiny house dweller, but a tiny apartment dweller. I'm always looking for new ways to try to save some space and these will definitely help. Thank you!
Great ideas. Little tip, the million extension cords we all have and can never find, i roll them up and store neatly in toilet paper rolls. When I need them for holiday lights, they are much easier to find
Jumper cables in cereal box, for the computers and video cords - haven't updated. Poster / presentation rolls work nicely; if cut carefully and bend open. Screw into back of centre or desk and if are close enough to the outlet power strip can be slid inside or zip tied topside.
The over the sink kitchen shelf is a bad spot for salt and pepper shakers and paper towel rolls. Water sprays and hot water steam would definitely wreak havoc on these items .
I ordered a whole box of fridge storage bins from dollar tree’s website. We put all the ingredients to a favorite recipe in them, so I just take the bin of chili fixin’s, or the bin of charcuterie cheeses, out and start making a meal. They work great in the cupboard and the fridge. I might need more for my craft room.
Great episode. Cutting the soda bottles for screws and stuff..But also great for craft supplies. The edges of the hole can be sharp. Line it with something like washi tape.
I watched to see what the soda bottles were being used for but also got many other good ideas. The only one I would quibble with is storing towels over the toilet, the area of spray after flushing would get them germy. Not everyone closes the lid.
Totally agree. It has been proven that when the toilet is flushed, all sorts of stuff start floating and contaminating surfaces, including toothbrushes.
Good point about the flying germs. I love the basket idea though. I think that I will measure clearance in my "linen closet" and see if I can use the idea moved to the door of the closet instead. I would really LOVE more out of sight storage space. Thanks for the ideas - then we can play with them to make them doable to our circumstances.
These ideas are great. The stacking baskets you can buy at Kmart and they're fantastic in the pantry for sorting kids lunchbox snacks. The rolling shelf (#4) we got at IKEA and use to store our kids art supplies. The IKEA cutlery strainer for the kitchen is perfect to hold pencils, textas and crayons in it too.
I wish you listed underneath this video where to find some of these products for us to buy so we can benefit from all you showed us!!!Thank You so much for doing this!!!!
2:32 Cereal container trash can in the car is a brilliant idea! Paint it to match car dashboard or interior and done! Very smart. 4:07 - PVC Pipe fittings for hair dryer - Love it! I had a problem with mine. 5:37 - Great idea for pesky cords all over. This is very useful for me. Will implement!
You have new ideas I have not seen. And thank you explaining what you are showing. And not going so fast I have to stop and slow the speed of the video down half so I can get everything you're showing. Thanks again.
I store my pan lids in a oblong basket, I store many lids from large, medium to small. I also store all my plastic containers lids in an oblong , all sizes round & square. This baskets are in the same cupboard which makes storage great for kids & plastic were lids.
I received a pewter pitcher as a wedding present, but it wasn't big enough to serve water. So, I put my utensils in it next to my stove and now every time I cook, I think of my aunt and uncle who gave it to me.
I find it hard to throw away things as everything seems useful to me. My challenge is my new apartment as I want less stuff and everything in its place
This is the best hacks video, I have ever seen! Usually, these videos are pretty much all the same. This video was WAAAAAY, better. I actually hadn't heard of almost any of there, so this was very useful for me! Thanks!
Agreed 👍 This one is for Real Life items that really do need organizing. So many Organization Hack vids are tacky-looking, el-cheapo organization of "stuff" that ought be taken to reuse shops, or thrown out!! (Mostly thrown out)
1. Safety first. No charging business inside the drawer for obvious reasons. The heat generated would built in dangerously. The network coverage will deteriorate considerably which will force the phone to catch signal which in turn would heat up the batteries. 2. No clean towels above the toilet. I don't have a better example about shitting out your towels without you knowing that way.
Overall there were some very interesting ideas. Especially about the muffin tins in and junk like that to put them in yet another basket. It never dawned on me. Because it was so obvious. So thank you
If you get creative, you can repurpose stuff you have to work like some of the ideas that were given, and then you wouldn't have to spend a lot of money.
If I buy a plastic juice jug with a wide mouth, I wash it out let it dry and recycle it formy dry goods such as rice, beans, pasta, oatmeal, cornmeal, bulk popcorn, I like to store sugar in them as well, and the large mouth makes for easy pouring, and the lids screw on tightly which is great. I also buy pickles in the big glass jars they make awesome canisters lol
Don't know why, but the more I trash, the more shows up! 😫 I have been wanting to downsize. I gave away my microwave oven and toaster oven in hope to buy smaller ones. After searching online, I fell in love with two. I sent for them, when I took them out of the box to place them in their place, guess what, they both are a bit bigger! Duh 🤦♀️🤣
Fresh fruit & vegetables, talking about stacking and storing them in the freezer? 😂 I’m open for a few errors but I suggest a little editing before posting.
Every time I watch these videos, My first question is usually "Who actually keeps that much produce handy?" I mean, I cook practically all the time, but even I don't need that many potatoes...
So many great ideas here! My daughter and her husband are building a Tiny House, so a lot of this will come in very useful! Thank you!
That wrapping paper in the garmet bag... GENIUS...thank you!!!!

Step ladder for bins brilliantMoving to apartment with tiny closet balcony storage. I’m 71 and this idea is incredible thank you

Good shout! 😉
Can heat with a lighter it softens the edge not sharp anymore
People, do not charge anything inside a confined compartment like a wooden drawer! Even less next to your bed. Just don't do it. Thank you!
Towels above the toilet is never a good idea 😂
Absolutely, to much bacteria in the air when you flush
Don’t you put the lid down before each flush? I do, like you said Jana, too much bacteria 🦠
@@ibpaddy65
Can't put the lid down if you are SITTING on the toilet.
@@maryann7619 well finish your business, STAND UP, close the lid and FLUSH IT. What’s so hard about that? 🤦🏻♀️
@@jackoh991 nope, I hold that lever down all the way till it’s all water empty.
Would be great if you fit the actual pictures with what you are talking about. :/
I was telling her she was describing the wrong items 🤦🏻♀️😂
I thought that they had the slides mixed up .... crazy!
Yep.
I agree 👍
Exactly!

I always close lid b4 flushing. Never knew until I read about it.

I'm 66 and didn't realize that's what the toilet lid is for 🤣🤦♀️
Good thing it's just me, myself & I at home LOL
Big facts. I shut the lid too.but not everyone does.
These tips do help to create extra storage place. Most of them don't help at all to declutter!

storing potatoes you need paper towel on bottom and holes in container all over it for air flow makes potatoes last longer

Why would you ever have hooks pointing down? 🤔
Here’s a great method for decluttering....give the crap away!
Look for a "Buy Nothing" group in your city! Give it to someone who really wants it!!
I just use a mini trash can with done lid on top of the washer, dryer, kitchen counter and in my car! Better than cereal box
the bins in fridge and pot tops inside cabinet doors are my favorite storage hacks. ty will help declutter.
I’m doing the wine rack for towels idea! Genius!
I really liked those ideas . I'm trying to organize my craft room. And I saw afew things that I can do to make it more convenient . Thanks 😊
I store my pan lids in a oblong basket, I store many lids from large, medium to small. I also store all my plastic containers lids in an oblong , all sizes round & square. This baskets are in the same cupboard which makes storage great for kids & plastic were lids.
You always have wonderful ideas and I use most of the ideas that you show me? 😁😁😁😁😁. Can't wait to see what is next?
Love it! Like the wrapping paper idea.
Probably the best/most useful video on organization that I've seen. Thnk you♥
Loved the shoe idea
I received a pewter pitcher as a wedding present, but it wasn't big enough to serve water. So, I put my utensils in it next to my stove and now every time I cook, I think of my aunt and uncle who gave it to me.
Useful hacks but please recycle box and plastic containers instead of buying new ones.
Number 16, use stepladders to stack bins or make the equivalent. So shelves then!
Thank you! Great ideas I can use! Especially the lid holder ☺️
Great organizing ideas. I’m very impressed & will be implementing some of them in my home.
I find it hard to throw away things as everything seems useful to me. My challenge is my new apartment as I want less stuff and everything in its place
What spring rod ?

I like the Rubbermaid Cereal Storage thing in the Car, only I would be knocking it over when I get in the Car.
So Awesome!!! I am going to try alot of these. 👏👏👏👏👍👍👍👍
Wonderful as always
Yes, I too need a floating shelf in my shower to hold toilet paper 🧻 😂.

😆
Some good ideas here
How many are there of these hint sites? I think I need to start in the AM. Get paper and pen and start copying.

Very helpfully
this is mostly about buying more stuff, but there were a 2 good ideas.
If you get creative, you can repurpose stuff you have to work like some of the ideas that were given, and then you wouldn't have to spend a lot of money.
A lot of plastic containers are mentioned. We dont need to be buying anymore plastic. Use more environmentally friendly options.
I recycle containers I already have.

Great ideas, but some don't work for renters who can't drill holes in the walls...
Very useful tips 👌 thanks 😊
So loved the playdough idea!!! Gonna keep my eyes out for the spice rack at a resale shop 💖
Elizabeth Taylor wall mounted spice rack
Walmart, Target, any stores like that basically

Ideally spices should be stored in glass containers but if in plastic, make sure it is "food grade" plastic
.

Good ideas for the most part. Where did you find the over the sink caddy?
