I've had this gun for over 4 years and I LOVE IT. Put over 1000 rounds of every type of ammo and have never had a problem. It is snappy but once you get used to it feels great. If you like.45s, I carried a 1911for 3 years as an MP, it is a great carry firearm. Would highly recommend. Hope this helps.

This has been my carry gun for almost 4 years and i love it.So easy to carry.Zero problems with it.Like you said its a carry gun,so i don't need a special trigger for it.The only thing i changed was the sights, not that anything was wrong with them, but i just wanted night sights on it.Its also a pretty accurate for being a small gun.Got it loaded with Federal HST 230 gr and its good to go

Great review. Have shield in 9mm and love it, but 45acp is my perferred cartridge. Glad someone else in the world isn't trying to claim 9mm is the only pistol round ever. Please, the government at every level only, litterally only does things based on cost-period. 45acp, 40s&w, and 357sig make the 9mm look silly. Keep up the great videos

I’ve owned my shield 45 and recently have decided to switch from my g2 9mm to this as my edc so I’m starting to make more trips to the range to be more proficient with it but already pretty good with it, like you said there’s a kick to get used to but just love the caliber great review! I use the old school federal hydro shock and they feed great!

Good review. I also carry a 1911, it's what I trained on in the service and for that reason the safety on the M&P 45 Shield is a non-issue. It's become muscle memory. I have no issues with the hinged trigger or recoil. I have a full size 40 s&w that has more felt recoil than this pistol. It is easily concealed and accurate. It fully meets my needs. Width is .99".

Great, detailed review! I have a S&W M&P 2.0 .45 Compact which is nail driver. I shoot it really well. But its a little big, even being a Compact, to carry. So, I’m looking to get this for my next pick up. I’m not very accurate with a 9mm, so .45 is my caliber. I would have to give this a try, but I’m guessing after a little practice I should be just as accurate as I am with my Compact. Once again, great review!! Subbed.

There’s only one problem that I have with this weapon. And that is the fact that it is not an ambidextrous firearm. Although it shoots very accurate and feels very good in the hand, as a lefty I struggle with the speed of changing a magazine since the thumb magazine release is not reversible. On some models that contain a thumb safety, on one side of the fire arm specifically the left side, this is for right handed shooters. The M&P 45 full-size does have an interchangeable magazine release. One way you can tell if the gun is ambidextrous, Is the magazine has two notches on the metal shaft. This firearm only has a single square notch on the right side of the magazine indicating it only releases from one direction. Other than that this is a very accurate and easy to carry fire arm.

I understand for feds, sate etc using the 9mm for ease of use by females and males. I was stuck on the inbetween round forever the 40 and it was nice, however, after changing to this 45 round heavy load special pack i understand that IF i hit someone , THEY will be in the afterlife and NO medical assistance can stop that! A state trooper once told me why he still caries a revolver against an automatic weapon is because it only takes one round to end the fight, spraying and hoping takes time.......... Some of my friends think the 45 is like shooting a nuclear bomb off, AND they are CORRECT!
