I don’t understand why they just can’t acknowledge her as playing a huge part in this group. Honestly when spin got in the group that’s when I started checking for salt n pepa.
Because if they do it officially, they will be obligated to give her a huge percentage of the revenue that they probably cannot afford to do because of their current expenses and life style.

Spin played a major role in the group! The grammys need to acknowledge spinderella. 2020 / 2021 has been a terrible year there needs to be an upliftment and a turn around

No she’s not. Spin never produced a beat, (Hurby did), nor wrote a hit-making rap (Salt wrote Spin’s rap on hits).

@@LoriJTaylor To be fair, Spinderella did produce music later on in their careers. She produced the title track of the Blacks Magic album. A Salt with a Deadly Pepa and Hot, Cool, and Vicious albums were produced by Hurby.

To be honest it's a damn shame ever since after RUN-DMC became Salt-N-Peppa who became the first female group who made history in hip-hop, winning awards, selling millions of records, the first female group to ever go platinum, and sold out concerts but now you want to do Dj Spinderella that she is not worth it to ya'll that is wrong.

For those who don't know, DJ Spinderella is exactly that, a DJ!!!! She put in actual work in the studio and on stage live, how is it possible to write her out/off? Yeah I know she's super beautiful but that does not relegate her duties to simply being eye candy for the group....Spin gets busy, and if you ever seen her live you know what time it is....This whole thing with them is very weird, it's the stuff they're NOT saying that makes it all strange to me...
They did her dirty period. She’s absolutely right it’s very important to persevere there legacy for future generations. This greedy mission that Salt and Pepa have been on for so long is finally coming to light for everyone to see. They need to be careful Karma is a Bitch, they better humble themselves and do right by Spinderalla.

She said maybe they feel that they inherit her, yup that's what I believe because it was Hurby(they creator) idea to have a female DJ.Honestly after they got rid of the first Spinderella they really did'nt want another girl DJ however Spin came and never left as the group got higher and higher in popularity she had to remain in the group and we all new the group to be a trio I just think that us fans wanted the trio but if it was up to the two ladies there would have never been a Spinderella it just never was SaltNpepa's idea

Sorry, but I boycotted them for years knowing how they did her. Without her they probably wouldn't have made it. At the time she stood out just as much as they did and even though they made Platinum she went beyond and was the 1st acknowledged female DJ and till this date is still known as such. If you remember anything about their songs, it's that she was there and she stood for something.

@@Mokiller1979 I’ve been following this group since my mic sounds nice way before spin joined. When she came on Push it was already blowing up and they needed to shoot the video. The second cd was just about done and she contributed nothing to it. You never saw Jay complaining because he knew that he was definitely apart of the group but never demanded to be paid the same as Run DMC
Regardless of what anyone thinks, Salt N Pepa were a TRIO!!! Spin was as much part of the group has JMJ was a part of Run DMC. Spin was in EVERY video, on EVERY album cover, appeared in EVERY live performance onstage, she rapped on some of the material too. That’s a group member! Why NOW in 2021 there’s drama after all the hard work and hits are done? Thats dumb. Come on man! Squash this and move on. This makes me very sad.

She wants a bigger share of the cut but never put in the work. She wants to uplift but never used her own platform to uplift her colleagues. Shes victim playing also. I love all 3 but she is the recurring problem. I've watched them very closely since 88 and shes lying about the actual story and trying to change the narrative. How you then going to expect your colleagues who gave you ample opportunities to be a part of the group, fully supported you and put up with your complaining, never asked you to use your platform to keep the group popular, come back and be together? You then sued them. You have damaged the legacy. Real s-n-p fans know the truth. It's sad but spin has been a problem. You cant expect an equal cut of the money if your labour and contribution to the work is way less than your colleagues

I feel that SNP, from a fan perspective that has followed them since 1985 (Tramp), has done A LOT for Spin. Now, if she wasn’t paid fairly, that’s a separate issue, but SNP gave Spin lots of exposure to allow her to brand herself separately if she so chooses to.
And yes, you are right in that I don’t think Spin did a lot outside the group to keep the group on people’s minds. Maybe she did behind the scenes, maybe she did not.
I still feel that I don’t think there is anything that SNP did to Spin that was that bad to where she felt that she had to bad mouth her own group publicly and consistently. Spin is definitely wrong for that and if it does come out that she was incorrect on the situation, she’s going to end up looking mighty stupid and loose many of the “new” fans she recently obtained by being on social media dogging her own group members.
Although she has a right to voice her opinion and express her frustration, I wished she hold have made more of an effort to find a way to fix situations before it got too far and if she indeed try to fix the situation and SNP were against it, then I can understand some of the reasons why she is tearing them a new one.

She most certainly is the problem and you are right. There wouldn't be a Spin w/o SnP. All they did for her they didn't have to do. She worked for them not the other way around. If anything she owes them an apology. She left the group and came back. Why? And she was going to leave again, it just so happened that they beat her to the punch.
We should hear what SALT-N-PEPA have to say about DJ Spinderella’s social media interviews before judgement is passed on the group.
I hope they work it out and get back together to make at least Ike more new album. I miss them!!
SnP have spoken about this for years. It came to a head on their reality show. Spin is now suing them, so they can’t talk freely now. Fact is Spin was forced on them to compost a look at a time when DJs were idolized, however, Spin produced no beats and Salt wrote Spin’s raps. Spin has been paid for her contributions. SnP have even let her use her stage name which SnP own!!!

Tired of our hip hop history being rewritten because of person who were non existent during the times. SnP had hits before Spin #2 INCLUDING Push It which only had video DJ presence. The best SnP cuts and scratches were on album #1 with Spin #1. Her wonderful DJ name is because of SnP. DJ became less integral when Spin started rapping. Pay her her percentage and let her go. Spin''s SnP fans can take care of her. Giddy up!
