Salt-n-Pepa reunite with DJ Spinderella for Walk of Fame star

- Iconic hip hop act, Salt-n-Pepa, behind such hits as 'Push It' and 'Let's Talk about Sex', received the 2,739th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Friday (November 4).
The duo were reunited during the ceremony with their former bandmate DJ Spinderella, who was, according to reports, dropped via e-mail and then excluded from a documentary about the group.
After being invited on stage by her former bandmates, DJ Spinderella, also known as Deidra Roper, said at the podium, "It wasn't just the music to me, it was our relationship and that means everything to me so whatever we've got to do to fix that, let's get some unity back in this. Let's figure it out and be iconic and be what the fans want, be what the fans want."
Following the ceremony, Pepa (Sandra Denton) said it was "definitely, new beginnings and it's amazing to be here at this moment through things that everybody... You don't know and to stand here and to come together to receive such an accomplishment, an award, an acknowledgement, it's amazing. It brought us all together."
Salt (Cheryl James) said "Salt-n-Pepa, we just keep pushing it - no pun intended - but we really through so many hard times, we persevered, we kept going and we're getting all those accolades that we deserve. Next stop, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, that's all I'm saying. Let's go!"
According to TMZ, DJ Spinderella is currently suing the pair over music royalties. However, the three put on a unified front for the ceremony.

Umm… if me and my homegirl became famous rap girls or singers; then once we get a deal they bring in a contracted DJ 3-4 years later for a prop; I wouldn’t be all that close to her but I would still treat her like she’s a sister but she’s a contractor not a actual female rapper. She was entitled and don’t seem grateful. Y’all run with anything. They don’t have to care when they write those raps for her. She was just the DJ shut up already. They paid her and she even got a Grammy for no reason just for being a DJ.
@Sabrina You must be very young. Spinderella has been in the group since the 80's. She has sung and danced in their music videos, done interviews, tours and concerts etc.
If Cheryl and Sandy didn't want Spin to be part of the group then that should of been in the contract from the get go. They are to blame as well as the management.
You can't just treat someone like they are the hired help after 30+ years. That's foul!

She missed a lot of rehearsals and appearances, that's why she was replaced. But that was all that was said about the original Spinderella

@@williamhaynes1032 😂 The 1st DJ was in the group for a short period of time! Very short! That album where she’s on the cover includes the song “Push it”. When they shot the video for Push it. The first DJ wasn’t even in the group anymore. Dee Dee “Spinderella was there.
