It was long overdue. But he was absent from the spotlight throughout the early 2000s to late 20 teens. Now that he’s back with his podcast and doing interviews it was probably the best time to give it to him.
It's always a tradition for me to watch Home Alone every Christmas day, ever since I was a kid until today and I'm 38. Proud of Macaulay Culkin. Well deserved!💯
I don't usually care about Walk of Fame ceremonies, but this one was definitely worth watching. I'm 44 and I grew up watching Home Alone at Christmas and anytime I could. This was long overdue and definitely deserved. That's sweet that he called her momma and she responded calling him 'darling baby'. So moving.
She said she was his "fake mother" but I dont think there was anything fake about it. She was his movie mom and they both touched our hearts with their relationship.
They are not only 90s staples! But staples now 😊 Goodness, I love what Culkin has been up too, and Catherine playing the iconic Moira Rose on Schitts Creek was AMAZING. I am sad it ended a little while back…
I used to worry about Macaulay when I'd see things in the news. But he really does seem to have turned out OK. I hope he's as happy as he'd made us over the years.
The media and paparazzi are there to report news, not make news. I can't imagine what so many actors and other famous ppl have to go through because of some pathetic troll journalists. Very sad.
Man I’m so happy this guy found the light and is married to a beautiful wife with a child together. We all thought he was another one going down the dark path to the grave.
Macaulay Culkin and Brenda Song are engaged; but I hope that when they eventually tie the knot Catherine O'Hara will be a guest at the ceremony and perhaps even dance with Macaulay during the reception.
I have tears of joy seeing Macaulay Culkin healthy and happy. This sweet soul of a man went through so much to get where he is today and I'm honestly just proud of him! He is so deserving of his Hollywood Star of Fame. ❤ Icon from my childhood! It wasn't until my adult years that I learned this was a "Christmas" classic. I watched it religiously on my VCR until it just stopped working. 😂
I love Macaulay Culkin. I think he looks just as adorable now as he did in those home alone movies. May God bless him and his family. Those home alone movies still bring me joy and laughter to this day. Congratulations Macaulay, I still think you are a brilliant actor who deserves a star.
I really love Home Alone 1 and 2. Its a traditional movie that I watch every year. It makes me laugh so much and gives me joy. Its a lot of fun. Great job Macaulay!
I love both Home Alone and Home Alone 2! That's so sweet that Macaulay Culkin still calls Catherine O'Hara 'mom' to this day! Kevin was such a cute and a smart little kid! ❤
I'm 41 and I watch Home Alone with my two kids now around Christmas time. I remember my Mom taking me to see it as a kid and it's still a highlight moment of my life. The McAlister's are family to me, great moment to see. Well deserved
What a lovely speech and tribute. If “Home Alone” were the only thing that he ever give to the world, it would have been enough. I enjoy watching it with my 9-year-old daughter ever since she discovered it last year and fell in love with it.
I been watching Home Alone since it came out! And I am now 37 years old with 6 kids of my own and they all know that movie! We watch both every single year! Sometimes not even on Christmas 😂 this movie is and will always be a big part of my life! Thank you Macaulay Culkin for the best Christmas movie ever!
Not sure where you live, but they’ve got a festive season in the local cinema near me here in the uk, and they are showing Home Alone 1&2, might go and see it, would be awesome to see them on the big screen 😁 (I’m 39)
Without Macaulay Culkin, there would be no Home Alone trilogy, no Boy Meets World, no Ned’s Declassified, no Suite Life of Zack and Cody, no Stranger Things, and there would no Good Boys. 33 years after Home Alone arrived in movie theaters, Macaulay has received his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. As a fan, I congratulate him because this wonderful story is an example of how as long as we keep our faith while facing hardship God knows how to work things out for good in order to find redemption.
My absolute favorite Christmas movie and the first movie I'd seen in theaters as a child. Thank you to the entire cast for this wonderful memorable movie.
Kate Mccallister in Home Alone 1 and 2. Delia Deetz in beetlejuice and Moria Rose in Schitts Creek. Are probally the 3 most iconic characters catherine has ever played. I mean i know kate is supposed to be not the best mom(besides the villian) but katherines performance espeshially when she realizes kevin isnt there is just so iconic. I have seen both home alone movies probally 4 or 5 times maybe more, And i think the 3rd one. My favorite is the original. Just seeing kevin take charge and those hillarious never ending pranks on Harry and Marv(The robbers) . Is just so iconic. I love that they still have a wonderful relationship. And the way they made it then, makes it one of my favorite christmas movies of all time.
Time is passing fast and the lifestyle of the generation we have now is changing but no matter what happens the young Macaulay Culkin will never be lost or forgotten because he is one of the companions in our childhood memories especially during the month of Christmas.
Home alone a classic. I loved it and now my 2 young children watch it and love it. And it's great too see him so healthy after all his issues years ago.
The photo of them hugging then and now just go to show you how much Catherine meant in his life, thank you for a magical reunion on the walk of fame of all the fans of home alone, I'm proud of catherine, and McCauley for the years of entertaining us with home alone, even though this is only 4 minutes long when they hugged and she almost cried, I'm pretty sure we all felt the emotion's as they are two amazing people with one coming so far in his life
I can imagine this like a McCallister family accomplishment day with Kate being proud of her son Kevin achieving the fame and success that he has worked hard for so long. It’s just sad that his dad Peter wasn’t there to see 🥺🥺
This young man deserves it! He’s be of the best actors as a young boy. Christmas wouldn’t be the same without home alone or part 2. This is an iconic movie for ever and these two movies will be a forever tradition for every family and their kids to watch. This kid had a hard life growing up because of his ugly parents seeing him as a ATM! He looks so healthy and happy now. I hope he’s truly happy and found peace within himself. You’re the man Macaulay Culkin!! God bless you brother.. you deserve it and much more. You still see the lil boy in him. That’s awesome grown man with the boy in you.
I'm about his age, and I remember all of us wanted to be him, I'm so happy and proud for this moment, he is an icon, he deserves it❤his giggle at Catherine at the end, so heartwarming
We all love Macaulay because he brought heart to his performance and you can’t fake that. It fills my heart with joy to see this for him. The magic of Home Alone’s story is that we all make mistakes, but when it comes to family, you do everything you can to make it right. Especially on Christmas. Happy holidays everyone 🎄🎅🏻
Seeing Home Alone in the theater is one of my earliest movie memories. I was 5 when it came out. I have seen how much the world has changed since it's debut. 33 years doesn't feel like such a long time ago in some ways, but in other ways it feels like a lifetime ago. It's really great to see Macaulay getting the recognition he deserves and that he seems to be enjoying a good life. The first 2 Home Alone movies are bonafide classics, and I am so glad I have them both on Blu Ray to enjoy forever. They have to be included in anyone's list of favorite Christmas movies.
Even though it's considered a Christmas movie; "Home Alone" has a certain charm to it that makes it enjoyable anytime of the year. The last time I watched it was in 2014 with my sister's family and we were laughing ourselves senseless. My niece (who was eleven at the time) laughed herself silly at the scene where Marv (Daniel Stern) screamed bloody murder with the tarantula on his face. In my opinion Daniel Stern should have won an Oscar for Best Scream.
I love them both and I’m so happy for Macaulay. I’ve been watching home alone since I was a child and now watch it with my own children every Christmas season ❤️

Let’s be honest, this was long overdue. This guy is a walking legend.
I never thought it would happen since he’s been out of the lime light for quite a while
I'm watching him in AHS right now and damn you're right
So true!
It was long overdue. But he was absent from the spotlight throughout the early 2000s to late 20 teens. Now that he’s back with his podcast and doing interviews it was probably the best time to give it to him.

Catherine is a class act.
She sure is, a phenomenal woman in all the sense of the word.
She definitely is. And aged beautifully well. I'm so shocked how wonderful she looks at her age.
She’s delightful
She is still as beautiful as ever!
She's clearly everything Mac wants in a mother, that his own mother couldn't or never gave him. The reason he invited her there for sure :)
When I found out about his parents divorce it was quite a shock to me!
He said on a podcast recently that he’s on good terms with his mother. His father on the other hand…
I noticed that with all the awards Kieran Culkin has been winning lately, he's been thanking his mother and not his father.
Both of them deserve their flowers. They're both 90s staples and essential to childhood memories. From Beetlejuice to Page Master and My Girl.
