Love when the club brings Living Legends on the show. Dropping knowledge, giving wisdom & just telling their story and possibly learning things we didn't know as fans. Another great sit down by the club!!
+autumnnight You must be super young. Because you are out of your mind if you think snp are not legends. you have NO idea what it mean to be legends. salt n pepa are pioneers. you clearly have no idea about the beginning of rap and the influence snp had.
They're not lying, I couldn't believe I saw Salt N Pepa on the lineup at this BBQ festival in Boston maybe 2 years ago, and I was AMAZED at how they still got it!! Crazy energy, crowd loved them, it was like nothing changed... Honestly a better show than most of the new people i've seen live
Watching this interview after watching their Biopic of lifetime. Love the movie . Love these beautiful ladies. Saw them all at the back to the 90s tour two years ago and they close out the night.
Solidify a legacy? What the hell is Charlamagne talking about? Salt n Pepa already have a legacy. They broke down barriers for females in hip hop. There would be no Nicki Minaj, Missy Elliott, Lil Kim, Foxy Brown and Eve if it wasn't for Salt N Pepa. They are legends.
+Alyssa A the memories everything was so simple compared to now; but the music-----the music was majestic back then (music was totally awesome in the 90s, it literally had an identity ) the 2000s identity is something i could never discover.
I’d still smash. Salt Looks how I remember her just a fuller in figure. Facial features look how I remember them, eyes nose, mouth and her skin still looks youthful.
Now that's one i actually wanna see get made, straight outta comptom style, theactrical release only. They'd have more control over their own story, none of it would be lies. NWA'S film Yes definitely left out alotta stuff, specially about Dre's penchant 4 womanbeatin, but its not full of lies, they leftout stuff but it realky Is A good film, period. S&P would make just as good a film if not not better because as women we go thru so much more, especially in the enter'&music industries. I bet nobody ever said to Cube, you're gettin too fat, chubby, change your hair its not sexxy enuff right now, das the kinda shitake females are told to their faces by music executives, boooooo! S&P both got told that after they each had their 1st kids, around the VeryNecessary cd. Maann now i wish they would do a real film, not any tv nonsense.
Salt N Pepa are my girls. Love them so much. I still have a VHS of them which I need to get transferred on DVD b/c it's that dope. I am still kicking myself b/c they came to my hometown last summer and I was sick and could not attend.. Cheryl & Sandy you rock!
They still look so nice and I respect when the older artist come because they have the best stories. Wow imagine working with Martin Lawrence, Salt&Pepper, and Kid&Play. Charlamagne like one of the girls asking questions about periods and shit like really dude. I know I got off topic but great interview overall.
They are so well spoken and beautifully aged! Women in hip hop do not get the credit they deserve for having longevity in the game.Like Lil Kim,tSalt n Pepa took the game and made it their own and are still very much marketable and relevant in hip hop.
It's an interview most women are going to have makeup on. I've watched the breakfast club regularly that is of course if I'm interested in the guest. Even the men sometimes have make up on. Take into account the time this show is on. A morning face is not the best. I don't care what anybody says you have that puffy look in the morning and no one wants to look tired and beat on a show. Now I can speak on salt she was trying to go for a natural everyday look but had the wrong type of foundation her skin does not need too much foundation just bb cream or a light coverage but I'm assuming she figured it was early so put more than she needed. Overall both ladies looked fine in my opinion.
I have to give it to them 30 years in the business and still about book shows. Been a fans of the ladies since "Push It". We are the same age so seeing them brings me back to my youth. I have always loved their music. Would love to see more 80's rappers on throw back Thursday.
Everybody make sure you watch the "Salt N Pepa movie" which comes on "lifetime channel" on January 23rd at 8pm eastern time and 7pm central time in USA and those who live on the west coast in USA make sure you check your channel guide on your cable or satellite box to see what time it comes on in your city
These ladies are trendsetters, they set the game up lovely for the female raps stars today. One of my top 5 hip hop artists, I grew up with...Salt n Pepa!!!! Learn!!!
Was watching old videos and Salt n Pepa was jus too fly in their day. how yall expect them to still look 19...everybody not trying to go under the knife....and yes they are rap legends, they broke barriers for female rappers
This is what these new kids need to understand work hard in your younger years so in your 40's and 50's and beyond you can still be booked a year in advance and be able to raise the price and people will pay.
They have Grammies and they are still winning! Love them, we shaved our heads because of them lol They always had the power of influence! They had style, and beauty! They were aligned with greatness, kid and play and Herb luv bud their Manager and Salts x boyfriend!
I RESPECT SALT & PEPA I AM A 80'Z BABY MY FAVORITE SONG FROM SALT & PEPA IS EVERYBODY GET UP FOR THOSE WHO DON'T KNOW LISTEN THEY WENT OFF ON THAT THANG
Salt and pepper female rap groups I grew up on them in the 80s in my high school year when I graduated they both still look good y'all keep it coming like to see another album like in the 80s y'all both still look good to me
Lot of respect! I wonder if they can just make a club version of "none of your business" where they change "sell it on the weekend" to "get loose on the weekend" or something along those lines to perform the record.
Groups in general always get the short end of everything. People love to go back in history and say Lil Kim and Foxy Brown started the whole "sexually charged" and "explicit" lyrics along but fail to remember that it was these two that started it. Also whenever people talk about females in rap they forget about Left Eye. In my opinion, she was the female Tupac on the rise that was so socially conscious in her rap abilities. Salt N Pepa's third album is the best!
RealestGuyInTheRoom Yup !! I agree with everything you just said !! And man, I can go on & on about how LeftEye doesn't get her just due..she's definitely the female PAC, they even had a Lil thing going on, it just never grew into a relationship..
I'm a 80's baby. Trust me, these ladies are definitely Iconic!
AJH 723 right
Indeed!
Me too
Salt n pepper definitely trendsetters...... And salt is still fine I love that lady...mmmmm she would get it😁😁😁😁😁
Yes ❤🤗🥂☕👏
Love when the club brings Living Legends on the show. Dropping knowledge, giving wisdom & just telling their story and possibly learning things we didn't know as fans. Another great sit down by the club!!
+Booda Davis Corny Booda. If that's your real name, it's kinda coolest name but you still corny.
Patti labelle and Beyonce are legends, not salt n peppa
+autumnnight - Salt n Pepa are Definitely L-E-G-E-N-D-S!!! The 1st in many categories and have broken several records and barriers.
Me too .
+autumnnight You must be super young. Because you are out of your mind if you think snp are not legends. you have NO idea what it mean to be legends. salt n pepa are pioneers. you clearly have no idea about the beginning of rap and the influence snp had.
Salt is so incredibly down to earth, cool and likable.

Salt N Pepa clearly the greatest Hip-hop female duo of all time #80skid
@ Pauline Johnson, they were a trio not a Duo. Spinderella was part of the group.
Always nice to hear from the legends. That's one of the dope things about Breakfast Club interviews. They survey the whole culture.
They look Hella good! Ya'll realize Salt is 50 next year? Gorgeous and not to mention I still get down to their jams! Ha my kid too

22:45 salt n pepa performed at wireless festival in London 2 summers ago and the crowd went CRAZY. love these legends!
These sisters stuck through it man and I applaud them.
Too many of our greats break up and stop getting money over the bullshit.
Great example....
I was in love with Salt n Pepa back in the late 80's as a kid. They still look good today.
All the Living Legends should get at least an hour long interview
30 years and they still getting PAID, on tv, touring frfr, clothing lines, endorsements with money in the bank.....#blueprint
Salt has a very good spirit and seems to have her head exactly where a man would want it, even business minded!
They still got it...Pep remind me of Free..."what a man" will always be my favorite #Legends
You know what...they would make great hosts of a show. 💯
Breakfast Club: "Do you have a bio pic"
Salt-n-Pepa: "Yes"
Breakfast Club: "Don't do it on Lifetime"
Salt-n-Pepa - "Noooo"
2021: Oh the irony
Peace to Salt N Pepa. True pioneers in this game called hip hop.
They're still so beautiful! I still listen to their music, it never gets old.
Watching this interview after watching their Biopic of lifetime. Love the movie . Love these beautiful ladies. Saw them all at the back to the 90s tour two years ago and they close out the night.
I like both ladies. Salt comes across as being very pleasant and gentle. I like how she expressed herself throughout the interview.
Salt lookin like Angela Yee's older sister. Pepa does not even look like she in her mid 40's salute to her.
Pepa had surgery
I agree... I always felt Angela Yee favors Salt a whole lot😁
Pepa was bad back in the day
Solidify a legacy? What the hell is Charlamagne talking about? Salt n Pepa already have a legacy. They broke down barriers for females in hip hop. There would be no Nicki Minaj, Missy Elliott, Lil Kim, Foxy Brown and Eve if it wasn't for Salt N Pepa. They are legends.
@Joshua McDowell Word!!!!
Yall already know Charlemagne is slow and special needs.....🙄
That's Right They R Legends
That dont mean it would have been no other female rappers. Just my opinion
I got my ass beat for singing their song with my shirt tied..you make me wanna shoop shoop that oop..I didnt know what they was talking about. 😂😂
I'm deadass crying 😂😂😂

2021...”Your wish is granted.”
What would Charlemagne and Envy do without Angela? She's professional and manages to ask relevant questions that keep the interview on track.
