It makes him hard to talk to. You're saying take your money and invest and build. BUT.. WHAT Money? You're telling people not to work and have a boss when realistically that's how it is for most people who weren't born rich. You cant knock how another man sets his kids future up. Much of what Dame is saying is true, but for most black men including myself, our fathers did not leave us a dime. The only thing I receive was from my mother, which is a roof over my head. Dame got his start up money from running errands for drug lords in Harlem, so I fully understand why he doesn't speak on how he received his start up income. But the majority of Black men do not want to get involve with street shit because it usually divides us and destroys our communities. Though I respect Dame's opinion, he shouldn't put brothers down for working a 9-5 in order to have some form of start up income. My goal is to open a community bank, but in order for me to get there, I need banking experience, which is the reason why I'm working for a bank now. I hate my job but I was able to generate some income in which I can now start investing in certain projects. I do not think there's any shame in working for someone as a staring point.
Dame never said you can't work for start-up, he just advised that it's best to start your own business and go from there. Something as simple as selling records, shirts, anything to make a profit and gain business experience while doing it. Working at a bank for 10 years to gain expertise and start-up capital is the number one reason 80% of business fail in the first two years. You're gaining 10 years of employee experience, not business experience, then you're throwing your money up against a wall to start your business with no experience and you fail. You cannot learn success by observing. Success is like going to the bathroom. You have to do it yourself. One thing you need to do as an employee with an interest in business is to start a side business on top of working your job. This way you're not wasting valuable time while gaining the capital. Work your 9-5, build your business 6-9, and expand your mind into as many books as you can get your hands on before you go to bed. The first thing anyone should do in life in general is to find a mentor and follow their guidance. Even your parents. Some people don't have a father, or some people's father's have nothing that can help develop them in the path they want to pursue, so you need to find a mentor in life who is where you want to be, do what they've done, and you'll have what they have. Only a fool counsels himself.
@Monique's Beauty & Cre... absolutely not. this is gold on so many levels, the anger from dame is palpable, the fact that nobody should ever have a job is totally insane, but amidst all of the vitriol and utter madness there are JEWELS, that are blinding in their brilliance., and the fact that a grown man approaching 50yrs old still says "pause" is priceless.

You're telling people not to work and have a boss when realistically that's how it is for most people who weren't born rich. You cant knock how another man sets his kids future up. “You talk about what you told to talk about you got a boss”🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
One of the most eloquently stated comments I've read on YT in a long time. So. Much. Respect.
Props to you brother
Salute! Keep striving and you will open that bank fam!
Better have good security doe having a bank in the hood
