right ! WAs it me or was Shay fighting against his ideas of ownership? It's not a hard concept to understand. He's talking about getting us up off this plantation in the physical, economically and mentally. Shannon kept saying why would I want that. or why bite the hands that feeds you (white folks who own EVERYTHING in the U.S.) . Until we stop complaining about not being treated fair and do our own thing AGAIN; we had it going on plenty of times and they destroyed us by murdering us. But we gotta go for it again collectively. I love how Dame was constantly challenging Shannon’s way of thinking. I believe he’ll be a better businessman after this. It’s not often you see the person being interviewed have the interviewer answer his own questions with the intention of making him better at what he does. You could hear (figuratively of course) Shannon’s brain cells cracking in an attempt to process the information Dame was presenting to him from a TOTALLY different perspective. Dame gave him and us a master class right here and much credit to Shannon for the questions he asked… “Chapeau” Mr. Sharpe! I’m watching this one a few more times to soak it all up.

We worked in fields that had no trees in them. We got no mercy or shade from the sweltering sun pouring waves of heat down on us. Lord, have mercy. All of that work and hard scrabble studying in school to bring home the grades our parents insisted be on our report cards; it would make a great and honest movie. Sterling and Shannon's track and football coach is still alive in Savannah, Ga.

Maybe, but if 20 percent of us has Jay’s mindset then I’d definitely say that. Its a clear winner between the two. Dame’s mindset is to combative. You can only get so far acting like that. No matter what field you choose in life. You’ll grow only to a point.
