      Using these in my sofa It will fill up the whole wall that my 55 inch TV is on. I can visually fit 4 of the 55inch TVs in the persuade size of the AR screen.

      I've been trying to get MRTV to admit this.
      it's not magic, the screen size is fixed to taking up a certain amount of your FOV, but based on where your eyes are converging the size will seem to change. this is because the transparent screen causes you to want to focus on the nearest flat surface in front of you.

    I love the small form factor of these compared to VR headsets, but think they need some better industrial designers as the style looks early 2000’s and I personally wouldn’t want to wear them. However, the shape and style of the light blocker looks more modern and is what the glasses should have been. Really odd choice they went with here and a missed opportunity in my opinion.

    • @originaltrilogy1
      @originaltrilogy1 Год назад +1

      The problem with all glasses is that fashion changes and the glasses will look dated unless based on a very bland style. All these glasses sit higher on your face than normal glasses anyway, so they will look weird no matter what the shape. That is unitl these type things become more common, then maybe we will get used to it.

    • @pixxelpusher
      @pixxelpusher Год назад +1

      @@originaltrilogy1 Yes there are trends in design and fashion, but there are also styles that stand the test of time. Classic Wayfarers or Flat Tops for example always look good and aren't bland. Design is also a very deliberate choice, it's never unintentional. I'm simply saying for me the choices made here weren't the best.

      As a gaming monitor they are ok if you are ok with a 2k resolution. Using my ASUS ROG Ally I have a lot of fun, even if the resolution is "only" 2k. For productivity I wouldn't recommend them.... the picture clarity at the edges is blurry (they still need to increase the horizontal FOV and the resolution a little bit for this usecase).

    20° more FOV horizontally und 10° vertically and a resolution of 2.5k (instead of Full HD) and the Rokid glasses can be easily / comfortably used also for working. At the moment I'm just using them for movie watching which is already a great usecase, where only the Varjo Aero and Pimax Crystal can compete regarding the picture quality (Pico 3&4, Quest 2 & 3 and Bigscreen Beyond can't compete). Furthermore it's much more comfortable to watch movies with the Rokid Max compared to the very bulky Pimax Crystal (and also Varjo Aero).
