Please compare the Xreal Air/Xreal Beam with this Rokid Combo
Hello! I don't know what is the advantage of the XREAL part. But the XREAL Beam offers a 3Dof virtual screen, wired and wireless connectivity, which provides you a good experience on gaming. However, please note that DRM-protected content cannot be accessed through the wireless connection.
I can tell you right now I have the beam and it doesn't do what the rokid station does. With that being said there's no apps on it yet so maybe in the future they'll have apps like Netflix Hulu Disney Plus etc.. when you put them on it does say more apps are coming.

Great video, will you be able to use the Rokid AR app? As I have a pixel 7 and can’t use their AR app?
Will it be able to display 3d games from pc somehow, like 3d (stereoscopic) racing sims?

Weirdly enough, on their sight, you can't seem to purchase the Rokid Station by itself, it is either the Rokid or the Rokid Max. I already purchased and own a Rokid (which is pretty great, the nose pad thing is not really so great, twenty or so minutes in my nose needs a short break from it, but I'm experimenting with my own solution on that), but the purchase option from the Rokid Station by itself seems to be missing.
Looks really nice i asume with the station you get Plex on it so i can stream my 3d movies From my PC to the Rokid device???? anyone can tell me how is the 3D on those Glasses any Good,haven`t seen any channel talking about the 3D..............

Mine finally arrived and here is my review. It runs hot. I have no idea why they also sent a remote just to be able to speak to Google assistant? The video is slightly larger than the glasses allows you to see so the far left edges in the upper and lower corners are not in your direct view and are somewhat blurry. It took 1 month to arrive from China! With all of this I still LOVE it because there is no other device out there that allows you to stream video from an android OS using all of the video apps you have on your phone. Plus it has 32 gigs o space so if you want to rent or buy a digital movie you can download it directly to the device. Now, I dont know how you get the video off or how you put videos you already on....for $149 im happy. However if you can find a cheaper phone that outputs video via a usb c port then you could do that instead but I could not find any for $149 or less
Eu comprei o nreal air começo do ano e senti muita falta de uma função que existe no rokid Max, que é o ajuste para miopia. Tentei usar com minhas lentes, mas fica muito pesado. Acredito que o Rokid é superior ao normal por esse motivo.
Nice review! I really like / appreciate my Rokid Max, especially when using it together with the Asus Rog Ally.
Watching movies is really fun and the quality is superior to any VR headset!

You can use it on a TV as well which is pretty neat.
I like the idea but I've been using 4K for over half a decade now, going back to 1080p is a non starter for me. I have a 4K monitor and tv and VR and phone, so trying to sell me something that does 200" virtual display at 1080p just doesn't cut it in 2023.
You must see it yourself. 1080p on a micro oled display that is only a few centimeters big is a different thing than 1080p on a big TV. It looks great, you can't see no pixels here.
i like this , for me running android synths in ar make this a cheap insturment when you compare it to other hardware
Since this uses a standard HDMI signal, this could possibly work for other ar goggles as well. (Xreal Air, TCL) You could probably also connect this to a TV and use it as a streaming box while traveling. (Some hotels dont have a plug near the TV or a way to power a dongle.)
I wonder how standard the HDMI interface is though? For a start, I imagine it must be supplying more power than the HDMI standard specifies. But it would be interesting for someone to plug a Station into a standard HDMI input display (using a standard micro-HDMI to HDMI cable and see if it “just works”).
How long the battery last? Availability in Europe?
on the battery it has a last 7 days in stand by mode and about 5 hours of use. Arability I have no clue on, sorry.
I got the glasses last month and soon as I saw it was for preorder I bought it. I am not a Netflix fan so that's not a problem for me.
I have the problem to see the lower screen or it fits uncomfortable

They could have put a breakout 3.5mm headphone socket in the plastic bulge bit in the micro hdmi to usb c cable, or on the main unit itself.

Hmm, honestly too many parts for me for on the go. I would instead make a case for the glasses with the station built in. Then maybe put a small mechanical compartment for the hdmi cable to pull out like there is for headphones.

Does the Station have any AR ability? The beam allows you to "pin" the screen to a spot like a regular tv, allowing you see the tv only when you glance at it, and an option to put the tv in a corner of your vision, a sort of PIP that allows you clear vision as you do chores and go around your day.

Apart from the smaller form factor improvement I can use my cell-phone with a Bobo VR headset, which has cans attached, and see what the Rokid sees, for a fraction of the cost, plus, I have VR.
The visuals are way better with the Rokid, but it's good that you found something that works for you!
What about the 3d function ? Does the output support 120mhz for proper 3d view?

Nice review. I think I will try them since I like the idea of streaming movies and content comfortably. I have my quest 2 for gaming and i don’t use it for movies too bulky and uncomfortable. I think we are going to see more of these type of devices now that Apple Pro is out! I know it doesn’t compare to Apple Pro but at @ 4 K People will want alternatives! So this is great more to come for us all!😊

I had a manufacturing defect and they never refunded me or sent me a replacement. Went back and forth for almost 2 months and I gave up. I will never buy anything rokid again
Having a low widevine drm level is gonna hurt a lot for most users watching premium. Plex users will be fine though.
So let me understand this correctly, this device can do whatever your Phone can already do when connected to the Rokid.
well except for the 215 inch screen at 10 feet. Watched The first hobbit movie in 3d. The scene were they were on the mountain as the rock giant fight was a bit unbelievable.

Yes but without the android tv setup with allows you to add apps and games. Plus it has its own battery and you want have to worry about tying up your phone and draining your battery.
