- When, when you smile, when you smile at me
Well, well, I know our love will always be
When, when you kiss, when you kiss me right
I, I don't want to ever say good night
I need you
I want you near me
I love you, yes, I do
And I hope you hear me
When, when I say, when I say, "Be mine"
If, if you will, I know all will be fine
When will you be mine?
Oh, baby, I need you
I want you near me
I love you, yes, I do
And I hope you hear me
When, when, when you smile, when you smile at me
Well, well, I know our love will always be
When, when you kiss, when you kiss me right
I, I don't want to ever say good night
I need you
I want you near me
I love you, yes, I do
And I hope you hear me
When, when I say, when I say, "Be mine"
If, if you will I know all will be fine

...I was just 12 !!!! And ? I began to have my breakfast with Sixties !!! That was the beginning of the best time in our life !!!!
John London such a fun happy song
I was a new born. 👼🏻 Happy memories 🥰
Me too! Which unfortunately makes us now 73 (ACK!). That was my favorite song back then, and I played it over and over on my little RCA record player (remember them?).

I think everything was pleasant in this time ! Why ? Only because de were " the young ones " !!!! Now, we're going to an unknown future.
That's life ....

I waked up this morning (dec.07 2020) with this song in my head ... and I was very happy to find this video ... I was 15 at this time ... I am also happy to read the comments and to have the opportunity to practice my english ... I am a belgian and I am already living 15 year in France .... have a good day!
My mom just passed away this weekend, and we found her love letters to my dad where she refers to this song as her favorite when she was 17 years old 🥰… we played it while she was laying in her hospice bed in her final days. I’m sure she’s dancing with dad in heaven once again! Thank you Kalin Twins for the fun music ❤️ (Rest in peace)
Sherrie, I do not know you, you do not know me, and I did not have the privilege to meet your mother. I just wished to let you know that your post has moved me a lot. I was 18 in 1959, and I can understand how much your dear mother liked this song.
Awww lovely
I can just picture her with your Dad. God bless. xx
@@jean-francoisdeschamps3490
I was 22 in 2959 and had three children then. I also loved picturing her Mother dancing with her Dad.
@@jean-francoisdeschamps3490 you both don't know me but I can say the same what you said jean-francois deschamps. I was born in 1985, but I love the music of the kalin twins too.
I was born in 1954 and I don’t recall ever hearing this song. Better late than never.. I like it.
A great song then and still a great song now. I was 15 when it came out and I'm 80 now. Quality music lasts!

Formidables. ¡Viva la música de los 60!
It's 2023. I'll be 29 on October, and this song is one of the best songs I heard in my entire life!
My mum loved this song and sadly she just passed away so rest in peace mum ❤️
"WHEN" - This was it at age 16 - I finally could drive, put all the windows down, turn up the radio, and cruise the avenues - what a great time to grow up!
I got myself an 1985 VW passat. That car is 15 years older than me. Its the closest car I can get nostalgic in. Crackling radio, no power steering no AC. Just the wind breeze in my hair.
The 50s were a great time
I wish I had been born and lived thru the 50’s. But I found a way to do it know.
If I were there and back then, I would have gravitated toward that new Impala!
Try it in a Hyundai accent. I did it.
I was an identical twin myself and can relate to their perfect synchronization. Brings back memories.
I was born in 1959 (4 Jully) and my father used to sing me this wonderful song! For all who listen this song, my friends stay happy, in good health and blessed! Lily from România! ❤🙏🇹🇩
You too, Lily, stay well and happy, and keep on rockin. Good memories, hope you have many more in România! ❤
@@kokolanza7543 thank you, be blessed! I have sweet memories of my youth! "Yesterday, when l was young", what a beautiful life it was! Greetings my friend, love and peace! ❤️💛💙🙏🇹🇩
@@LiliLili-dv4qc Thanks for the lovely, life-affirming note. Memorial Day coming up in the US, where we celebrate the ancestors - originally a day honoring those who fought, & those who died, in our Civil War. Many good vibes from the Copper Corridor, Arizona USA. You can check out my website if you like: . May love continue to surround you. 🙂❤
I never heard of these guys. I was born in 67 but I grew up hearing a lot of 50s music
The goodones old song for people has real love.
So true
1959 was a good year, believe me
Yep. I was born that year...just in time to learn, "new math."
Except Feb 1959 when the music died.
Sure was for the Los Angeles Dodgers!
Not for a whole lot of people in the US
I wouldn't be born for another 3 years after this came out and don't recall ever hearing it, but appreciate it now.
Great song, good to dance to as we did back when dancing among kids was popular……lol. I was 12 then now I’m 77 and haven’t heard this in a while.
I was born fall of 1959😉🎉 I have very early memories, my parents kept music in the house along with laughter 💕 I remember this song being played when I was young and dad dancing around my mom singing to her in the kitchen 💜🎉
My son was born in September of 1959.
Around the same tlme as yourself. That makes ME o.l.d. 😂
Whoa! Takes me back to ‘59 and my first teenage crush-great tune!
I was in a bar about 15 years ago when I heard two guys naming old songs and who sang them. They seemed to be in a contest of who could name the oldest song to win. I mentioned this song of "When" by the Kalin Twins and neither of them had heard of it or the singers. I moved to this country when I was 8 years old and 4 years later, this song came out and it will always remind me of that scene at the bar.
Wonderful born in 1950 So glad to hear this to add to loved hits
AN ABSOLUTE CLASSIC ‼️👌😘👍👍👍
This song is quite good it's lively it's not boring to listen to
Je me souviens parfaitement de cette chanson, j’avais une dizaine d’années. Pour moi, cette chanson que j’entendais quelques fois à la radio, c’était le bonheur et la joie qui entraient à la maison.
1957, 1958, 1959, 1960 - those were GREAT times.
I fell in love with this song as a teenager in the '80s. I always thought my friend's music was stupid and my dad's music was cool.
I became aware of it in early 80s too
The Kalin Twins were from Port Jervis, New York.....I got this record from Uncle Rusty from his juke box at his bar....in The Bronx, NY.....its a prized 45 of mine......rest in peace Joe "Rusty" Carroll..
I'm from the same area in NY. Their mother was a good friend of my Nana. I spent a lot of time with her when I was young, and though I was only around 6-7 years old,, I remember them stopping by to see her. They said Nana was like a second mom to them. She owned a tavern and always kept her autographed picture of the boys behind the bar. "To our second Mom, Love Hal and Herbie" .
This takes me straight back to my youth, this was massive and for ever on the radio.
I would have been in kindergarten back then. Such good music in those days!
Me too😂
👍👏👏
Born in 1954.... five years old and still can remember this tune
Ich auch. Auch 1954.
Kann mich noch so gut an dieses Lied errinnern.
War es das Lied als ich twisten lernte ??
Love this oldie - it just popped into my head this am. Haven't heard it on radio for many decades. Ahhh - "memories; we will enjoy them."
Born in 1953 and I remember this song too. As a child I had a transistor radio and walked around listening to music like that.
I've always loved this song!
I'd forgotten all about this song from my teenage days, so it was great to find it on here.
1959 may have been when this appearance was but this is a very iconic song from my trip to Illinois in summer of '58, when I was 11.
You're right, it was 1958. I was 16.
Love love this old stuff !!!!
I'd only heard the 1970s cover version by Showaddywaddy. That was good as a cover. This original is excellent.
Great 50s song. Reminds me of The Everly Brothers a bit
One of the best songs in history
i remember this song being played at the fairground on the waltzer in 1959 i was just 12 at the time it brings back memories of that time true singing and instrumental backing mmmmmmmmmmm
I vas 9 years old , then this music come out .
I love it a lot t,he melodi 😍
Fantastic what else needs to be said fantastic regards Mike Sol’s 74 and still appreciate music like this I hope all find the truth someday soon
The year I was born. Thank god
I've never heard this song or the Kalin Twins before. I like them. They are no Everly Brothers, but they still have great appeal.
I saw them in New York years ago. They signed my copy of “ when”. Great guys. RIP Herbie and Hal
Yes, great song. Great memory of Herbie and Hal! I saw them on American Bandstand, and really went for the upbeat tune and their positive & energetic performance.
I heard this song on the radio today and it brought back so many memories, I couldn't remember who sang it, I was 14 then. It finally came to me this evening, can't believe I remembered because I can't remember what I did yesterday!!! Loved this song!!!
I wasn't born in this era but the vibes of this song feels that it's the golden years of good old times ... Love it 😊
2 of the best.
Lest we forget, this classic was written by the great Paul Evans.
I hadn't heard this since back then. Thankyou
Born in 1950...i remember this song!!
Me too.
Desde que descubri en esta página musical esta maravilla de video musical,me encanta y la pongo cada dia ,es fantástico
I randomly stumbled across this. I like it already
First time I've ever heard this sung. Love it!!
Absolutely fantastic! I’ve never heard this song, never seen these two. Those snapping moves give me chills, I have to say. Beyond groovy to a profound rhythmic expression. At first it seemed kind of silly and dated but, no, it’s more. Can’t wait to hear more. Cheers Kalin Twins!!
Now head over to the Paris Sisters.
Ha. Ha. Where have you been hiding ??
Listen to the Kalin Twins’ « Three O’clock Thrill » !
Catchy tune. 12 years old. Didn't know they were twins.
Pure class-my Gran who is 86 introduced me to this beauty-amazing song/harmonies-get in there boys-timeless❤️
I was 12 when this came out and I like it and have on my Spotify favorites
descanse en paz papito siempre llevaré tú buen gusto musical hasta que vaya a juntarme contigo ❤
Without doubt this is the biggest success of Kalin Twins , mainly for the music(melody).
One of my all time favorites!!!!!!

Me encanta esta canción de este duo fantastico ,gran ritmo inolvidable 😘
Spent my summers at the Connecticut shore as a kid and the mile long beach in New London used to to play music through speakers on the boardwalk. So music like When, Little Darlin', There's a Moon Out Tonite, Silohettes, Tonite, Tonite.... that whole genre, came to be know as "Beach Music" to me. Why? because we were on the Long Island sound and picked up NY radio stations like 10-10 WINS and WABC.... who
played the best doo-wop in the years when they weren't oldies!!!
Me too! We used to go to Misquamicut Beach in RI....those were the days.
Fantastic song ! 💜
I love the kalin twins? This song When.. im Chile ❤😢
We had a few 78s when I was a youngster, this was one of them. Loved it.
As good as rock gets, sounds as great today as it did when I was 14. Thanks posting this aural gem!
Bubblegum Rock. This isn't exactly the same thing as Heartbreaker by Led Zeppelin.
Saw their lounge act in the late 70's in Laurel, Md. Great show. Still remember it well.
Awww, they are as cute as two bugs❤❤
My grandmother went to school with these fellows over in Port Jervis, New York. We might even have the yearbook photos
Number one July 1958 when I joined the Navy.
I remember this. I was nine then.
This makes me smile great song
Whenever I make a Swinging Sixties tape, I almost never forget to include this joint!
This was made in 1958. Still a banger regardless.

What a joy this video is! Thanks for posting 😁
This is Eddie zigbaum I like the Kalinin twins it brings back the good memories
About to Hit 41 next Month, always Liked to listen to these tunes when me and Dad Drove around in the 71 Cutty Convertible. RIP Dad!
They are wonderful!
The synchronicity between the Twins during the singing and physical motions is amazing!
Ik was acht. Het was mijn eerste kennismaking met rockabilly music.
This is almost the best song I never did like!

Saw them in person back in the day and have always loved this song.
The tenor sax makes that recording.....very infectious!
Fun song. Great energy.
What a beautiful song
! was 20 when I heard this, a great "song of the time" and in Brighton (England) every lad who had a guitar was trying to be a Kalin twin.
JAKIE TO ŚILICZNE JAK TYCH STARYCH KAWAŁKÓW SIĘ SŁUCHA. NAJLEPIEJ.
Great song brings back memories ❤
LOVE IT. much better than the Showaddywaddy version. the sad thing is people think it's Showaddys song and it's not, it's a cover version of the Kalin Twins song.
Sounds better than back in the day!
