I didn't hear Percy, Pagey or Jonesy talk about this band but these guys gave me hope for rock 'n roll music nowadays. The bassist is solid, the guitar is excellent, the singer is a man on fire and the percussionist is awesome. I wish to hear more about GVF in the near future.
These young guys are really good. Surprised at all the pot shots being taken at them. Played music my whole life, and I can tell yo these cats are really talented. They may sound like Zep - and there's nothing wrong with that. Their music theory is awesome as our their lyrics. Harder than all you haters think - these guys write fantastic original stuff with a sound not heard in a long time. Go get em boys.
I think with a little more life experience their writing will improve, they are only 21 and are really effing amazing! So glad they exhist. True rock & roll is alive and well. I had all but given up and was very very disenchanted with most of the modern music that comes out...that these dudes are alive and rocking like this truly gives me hope and will hopefully spark a Renaissance of rock if sorts! God bless the Kiszkas and the Wagner!! :)
I'm a huge fan!! I've watched all their videos, Josh seems the most confident and happy here to me. I like it when he smiles more like in this show. These guys are the best thing I've heard in ages, I was hooked on them instantly, and can't get enough of them!!
learn from historical mistakes that has destroyed other great talents in the past because you guys have Everything it takes to become the next greatest REAL rock band the world has been waiting for , for such a long time . Absolutely undeniably what the world has been waiting for . That's Real Folks !
Word. I pray they stay away from drugs and that nonsense as much as possible. That would be terribly sad. They are very young and open minded, so let's hope music stays as their priority and they don't get mixed up in the Fame and an unsafe lifestyle

I believe they have an album coming out soon. When I go to their Balt. show on Oct. 3, I will buy whatever EP or album they have on sale. In the meantime, would be nice to hear a whole show on youtube. Live videos capture something that the studio recordings do not.
Why.cant others have a differing opinion without being called a hater...?...the odds are stacked against them in so many ways. One being they're to similiar to, yes, Led Zeppelin. There's nothing wrong w that to a degree, then it just becomes a lack originality.... I hope they find their own style, especially the singer, he's already got the crosshairs on him as a Plant ripoff.... it'd also be nice if a few more bands came around with a similiar vibe to create a new "scene", much like Seattle had grunge or LA had glam. Very difficult for one band to breakout and hit the charts without other bands pushing and "competing" with each other...

The vocalist has John Deacon's (Queen) hair style, Plant's tone. Lead guitar has Pickford's look (Dazed and Confused), bassist plays keyboard like John Paul jones did, but the drummer does not have the heavy foot like John and Jason(Bohnam) did/do. The lead guitar and vocalist are twins and the bass player is little bro. Drummer is not the original but they are all from Frankenmouth MI. Not far from Brother Cain's origin. "Greta Van Fleet" is the name of a local Michigan neighbor. Very Lynyrd Skynyrd like. (Holy shit! I misspelled Skynyrd and auto correct caught it!). All self taught musicians. There is a lot going on here including lots of fun!
It's too bad the event I was going to see them at in a couple of weeks was cancelled. I was going specifically to see them. And then head to a ZZ Top show. They are - - awesome just doesn't cover it.
I love this band, that being said the fact that they are completely insulted by being compared to zeppelin is infuriating. Their sound is so similar even though they can't match and the vocalists stage presence is even coping plant almost to the T.
Led zep wasn't only good band from back then. Gvf reminds me of many bands back then. Uriah heap, rainbow, even the doors. And they are not insulted by being compared to Led Zep. Even Robert Plant loves these guys! I wanttohear him sing a Janis Joplin song. Look at all videos before commenting.

I went to see this one to check if i maybe lost some song , but i didnt. Still i m hearin NO melodies ..but maybe when they grow up a bit musically ..or when they get some producer to help them create some. And why i would want to listen to a band that wants to sound like Led Zeppelin ? If i walt to hear LZ...i have all their records. Again - i wish them well and findind THEIR OWN style.
12-bar blues is a melody and LZ didn't invent it. Greta has it's own melodies and sound but you aren't astute enough to hear it. Go through your LZ records and find where they cover Highway Tune and get back to us.
