In less than 2 minutes you showed us what the dealer couldn’t or wouldn’t because they wanted to sell my Uncle a $600 TIPM(Total Integrated Power Module) when all we needed was a 25¢ connector(free cuz I had one…😂😂)! @@kongkong3978 we popped the wire bundle out of the door jam & I believe we used it a screw together connector, (O’Reillys has a pack for connecting radio sub-woofer speaker wires) they are round, white and unscrew at both ends and you just stick each wire end in and screw cap back down. So much easier to use, better and water proof…get the smallest ones as there isn’t much room or available length of wire to connect the two ends together.
The hubby just followed your video.. it was the same wire, same place.. he spliced in a new piece,, voila power windows again! Thank you so so much, you are a rockstar, you just saved me big bux, and the fun times of going to the drive through and opening my door, instead of my window.. no more problems!! Thank you thank you!!

Thanks for your video. All windows and door locks quit working on my 09 Dodge journey but it did not make the noise yours did at the switch. I found the broke wire exactly as you showed and fixed it. Thanks again for the help.
@@TrevisBailey It's not a hard fix but kinda tricky. I found it easier to take a razor blade and cut a slit in the bottom of the rubber wire loom cover. You will have to add about a 2 inch piece of wire for the splice. Not much room for butt connectors so I twisted the wires together and used heat shrink over that. Then used a few zip ties around the wire loom. Take your time and be patient, you'll get it.

What if mine don't make a noise and only can control the rear windows up and down and lock them nothin else no power mirror no driver or passenger windows ?? I have checked everything literally ???
No luck unfortunately...my panel and everything is still off lmao 🤣 I done pretty much gave up I do still try all the little tricks people leave me on here I'm gonna try to pull them like he said to do but I don't know I have done got a new wire harness master switch and the other 2 electronic pieces on the door..I even changed out the connection parts at the door jam as well like a shop recommended...

I see the arrow pointing up and tried everything but I didn't wanna rip it out so I stopped. Anymore infor would be greatly appreciated!! Great video btw.
Best thing to do is get a piece of wire (same gauge,and atleast 2 inches long) and connect to the two broken ends together, the extra length will keep the original wire from breaking again (if you tried just reconnecting the original back together)

David, it did not help me out. You stated how to diagnose. You did not show or explain how to repair. Therefore, one would still have to take it to a mechanic for repair.
I think it’s funny that you actually called out the wire that breaks. This screams to me a factory defect. Good fix. Saved me hours worth of work.

Pull each wire if it snaps it's broken inside that's what was wrong with mine.
The wires did not look damaged on the outside of the wire sleeve

In your case what wire was it? Were you still getting power at the switch?
It is the ground wire , it is the black with orange stripe.
Well, that part that pops out, I broke the clip, so it doesn't pop in now lmao. My windows work now, though 😂

The repair is to reconnect that wire either using solder or crimp connectors
