I've had Jonny work on my car several times and he's a GREAT guy. He treated me very fairly and did a great job. If you live in the Wichita area and own a Porsche, Audi or BMW..... definitely take your car to German Motor Works!!!
Is it just me or has the production value suddenly increased? The camera work and editing is fantastic! You’re doing amazing Tyler, never give up! You seem so much happier in this video
Disagree. This looks terrible and boomer like. More like car issues. I don’t want videos in this format. The actual quality of the video is…bad too. Only 1080p and low quality? Tyler typically uploads in 4k.
This felt like a whole tv episode! I’m a BMW tech and I recently had to do some injectors on an E70 X5M (same generation) and this whole car is an absolute nightmare. Only 88k miles and every plastic in the entire engine bay cracked and shattered and doing injectors on this thing takes hours upon hours. The worst part is that as soon as it’s fixed, it’ll just break again some other way next week. Good luck with the repairs on this car!
I feel like a lot of times, it is the owners of the car and who they take it to. I have a 198k original engine e46 zhp, 15 x3 28d, 16 535d, and an e92 m3. I have owned e36s, e30s and nevery really had many problems. The biggest problem I have ever had was my disa valve broke and mulched my e90 330xi 6 spd engine. Super unlucky but the rest of them no problems. Never take mine to a dealership, take it to 2 bmw performance shops, all set

I agree 100%. It doesn’t feel candid and genuine like his videos usually do. I come here for the personalities and the careless humorous content. The higher production value and background music somehow take away from that.

Just met Tyler at Barrett Jackson today. He took the time to take a picture with my 9 year old son. He was very friendly and cool. Made our day. Thanks Tyler. And thanks to your producer for introducing us.
It’s always refreshing to see the car ninja look at these high dollar German cars. Most other mechanics would complain about how complicated everything is, but the ninja really understands these inside and out

I've driven one of these, the newer body one. They are a fun driving experience to be honest. Its cool to be tall and fast. I cant imagine the lifestyle of somone that would roach one of these though.
My friend owns a 2020 X6M, it handles pretty well. Surprisingly light steering (in stock setting) but still very responsive and it weighs up nicely once it's in Sport mode. Definitely something I'd consider buying in the future honestly, that or a Infiniti FX50S which I've yet to test drive but I'm sure it's equally as fun.
Yeah, I'd never buy one because they aren't practical, but I have no idea what he's going on about with it looking "ugly". It's a great looking vehicle, IMO. Just kinda dumb for an SUV.
Great vid! Only tuned back in recently, glad to see Tyler doing well and seemingly, happier. Ninja has come on so much since I last watched, far more comfortable in front of the camera, top bloke! His knowledge is vast and impressive.
Hi Tyler. Love that you are experimenting with production value and having a camera person really is a great addition. The editing still needs a bit of work imho. I would advise against cutting from the conversation for b roll or j cuts in conversation. Especially coming from from your lofi genuine content, it's quite jarring. I of course understand it'd early days and finding a feel takes a little bit of time. Looking forward to see where you take this.
I have a series 5 525d, bought it when it came out on 2006 and 16 years later and with almost 400.000km, never had any engine issue, just the typical oil change, breaks, tires, filter, the stuff that wears in every single car and never ever had to fix/replace my engine. Is sad to see that good engines from BMW breaks after few thousand miles if you dont maintain it well like older m3 or m4..
I would really like to see him to do a big rebuild on this x6 , it would bring back the magic to the channel , thats what we are all here for from the begining . Go Tyler 😁💪
With Johnny's experience I would be extremely interested in hearing his opinions on the later versions of the N63/S63 V8 and whether the revisions that they made increased the reliability of the engine.
Dear Hoovies Garage, 1. Greeting from Singapore. I own one of these BMWs since brand new unit in Singapore . Ya, my unit is a 2011 model year, E71, with S63 V8 engine and it is still going strong with me. Mileage is 80K KM now. I m still the first owner. Cost to own at 2011 is SGD500K (USD 360K) Yes, Singapore car ownership is the second highest in the World. 2. Your video commentary is very subjective to the X6M and indeed biased. On the contrary, I m here to give you my side of my happy ownership experience. I m having a wonderful motoring experience with this Super SUV since day 1. 3. The trick to keep this S63 engine healthy is to change oil n filter often. My definition of often is less than 5K KM. I only used Mobil1 ESP 0w-40 and with no other additive. It is a C3 type engine oil. Never use engine flush too. 4. Weather in Singapore is mostly 30C-35C all year round. 5. You Mechanic inside this video also said all those problems items are not expensive to fix. 6. Just replaced all you PCV valves. A must for all BMW engines after 50K-60K Km. This is a very cheap item to replace. 7. I changed all my vacuum hoses ( complete) . These are not expensive items too. 8. I changed my oil filter housing too. S$ 65 only 9. Do not worry about your non AGM battery. Each AGM battery weight around 30-36Kg. I would recommend use a Lithium battery only weight 5.7 Kg with 950 CCA . So much lighter and full charged takes about 10 mins on the road. You dun have to worry anymore about the electric fan keep running for 10 mins after a spirited driving when the engine is being switched off. No more low batt volt for this car anymore and bye bye to heavy weight penalty AGM battery . Cost for Lithium battis S$300 . Now may be even cheaper. ( Rate: 1 USD = 1.39 SGD). In USD term, it is around 216 USD. Very affordable. 10. My X6M original color was like in the Video. Color code called Melbourne Red. After its 10 years of life, I changed to an Alpine White 3M PPC wrap. It costs SGD 3.5K to do this job. Your poor paint work was due to negligence and poor ownership. Small issue too. After the wrap, I used Carpro coating on top of the wrap and all the wheels. 11. The rear ride height control ballon leaks was also a simple replacement. It cost less than 400 with original parts.. If you can do it yourself, it is even cheaper . 12. ATF, ATF filter and rear diff oils all must replaced every 30K KM with only BMW factory oils. Again, they are not expensive . 13. At 65K KM, I did several preventive maintenance to this monster. A new set of BMW spark plugs and set of 8 Original coils changed. Head cover gasket ( no OEM items) and oil sump gasket replaced. All PCV valves and vacuum hoses out with brand new one. 14. At 65K KM, front and rear suspension stopper; upper and lower rubber mounting ; anti roll bar linkage all replaced. Both rear wheel sensors replaced. 15. I also upgraded my original BMW 20” factory wheels to the one piece light weight 20”forge wheels. The weight saving on each wheel is about 7kg(front) to 9 Kg (back). Can you imagine how much unsprung weight has removed? 16. Like your mechanic said, this is the cheapest BMW to fix. I fully agreed with his statement. This S63 engine is the Power House BMW. BMW built many war planes for Germany to fight in WWII with Great Britain in the air. This was the base engine in those 80 years ago. This S63 is powerfully majestic and bullet proof. It must be taken good care when you have high demand from the engine output. 17. When I drive to Penang, Malaysia, I am doing about 220-270Km/h in a long stretch on the highway. This is a fly machine on the land. No wonder most Royal families in Malaysia owned X6 or X6M. 18. Tyres are Michelin 4S front and rear is PS4 only ( I want back not to be too sticky) 19. At year 11, BMW Munich factory wrote to me and changed for me 2 new air bags for FOC. Because I intended to keep this car for at least another 25-30 years. 20. BTW, my engine is original untouched . Even the air filter element is from factory. 21. My final advise is : without this kind of simple maintenance knowledge , please do not buy M’s car or Mercedes AMGs. You are asking for troubles. BTW, I am not a mechanic . My day job is in the financial community. 22. Warmest Regards. .

So nice to get an extra video of the Car Ninja! He doesn't put out enough content for us viewers! And his personality is starting to show a little bit, not so camera shy.
Ooh... I like the new and improved camera work! Still feels Hoovie-ish, just don't lose too much of the silliness. And for me, the cheesy music can go... I'm excited to see whats next for Hoovies Garage.
Gone are the days of Hoovie making videos with his Fisher Price PXL2000. Now the production quality has increased, to say, ummm, Wheeler Dealers circa 2012. Job Done!
Not quite the reaction I was expecting from Car Ninja - guess it isn't quite as rough as I envisioned it. 😊 And I don't think he hates it as much as he says - he looks absolutely eager to dive right into this one.
I feel like I'm watching a show on the History Channel with the boomer-esque country rock music playing in the background. The higher production quality is nice other than that bit.
Now that's what you always want to hear from your mechanic (and hopefully it's from Jonny) when you take a "piece of work" in to get fixed. I'm actually "extending" well wishes for you on this one, Tyler.
I just realized why I like this Channel so much , Hoivie shows you exactly what cars are completely SH%% and what to avoid if you aren't a mechanic or financially independent.
Thanks Jonny for the info on vacuum leaks. I broke a plastic line on my intake while changing the filter and forgot about it. I wondered why my pedal feel armed weak lately. I'll grab some of my contact spray adhesive for plastics and fix it.
Love the new production style. I feel I can see more what is going on. I do agree with original POV style but I think a happy medium would be to talk to the camera directly also with the new production. :)
In my opinion this is one of the coolest bmws ever. First ever turbocharged M car, first M SUV and IMO a great looking car. Also this is one of if not the first SAV coupe thing ever made. Nice video
I didn’t notice the increased production quality until I read the comments. I guess I liked it because I’m still here. Love the videos and great to see all the problems with these hoopies!
@Hoovies Garage I like this video much better than than the ones where you're screwing around all of the time. It's refreshing and I feel like I learned something along with you about something we both love... autos. Thanks man!
I have to say I definitely think way better production value when Hoovie has someone manning the camera, try to keep this style of videos coming. We love you hoovie wishing you happiness sorry you’re going thru some tough times. Things will get better stay 💪🏽
Meh, feels like such a TV show.. Not what I subscribed for. I don't watch the RUclips shows. The audio quality and levels is very good though, keep it!
Yoh, the more professional editing and camera work caught me off guard. Its different and alot of people are hating on it but they are just scared of evolution. Its still 100% Hoovie and I am definitely open to seeing more of it!
Nice new format! Nice to see you got a cameraman and have added a little music to make it seem like a whole TV episode, but I will miss the “selfie” kinda footage.
I really didn’t like the design of this car when it first came out. However, compared to current BMW designs and recent cars designs in general, I can’t believe that I think it’s beautiful.
The production changes are great! Something to be very proud of Hoovie. I know there’s naysayers in the comments, but this style may appeal to more people just getting into the automotive RUclips world and we’ll all be here to welcome them into the community here!
Upping the editing game, I see. Looks like you're incorporating some of your Car Issues details. It's an interesting take. Definitely not the Hoovie we're used to, but it's always good to keep growing and trying new things. 👍 It actually feels a lot like Johnny's videos. Are you using the same editor now?
I prefer the old style, without background music and simple cameras, it makes it feel more real, more spontaneous. This new style feels more like an episode of Car Trek, which is only good for Car Trek.
This vehicle was actually a very controversial release from bmw in 2008, and with that said they sold out so good even Mercedes’ copied the outfit with the gle, whoever owned this one dropped the suspension, and ruined it, but this is actually a good looking vehicle.
I appreciate the effort and the result but to be honest I prefer the original hoovie production videos..it gave that extra "dumb" feeling that I simply loved..😅😅

I've driven one of these, the newer body one. They are a fun driving experience to be honest. Its cool to be tall and fast. I cant imagine the lifestyle of somone that would roach one of these though.
My brother has one of the newer ones a couple years old, has the rear air replaced already
Probably the same kind of guys that would own a Maserati Levante and don’t do oil changes for 60k miles…
I love the shape of the car, I would totally drive it!
Yeah, I'd never buy one because they aren't practical, but I have no idea what he's going on about with it looking "ugly". It's a great looking vehicle, IMO. Just kinda dumb for an SUV.
Yeah he's a bit overkill with his opinion but whatever
There's something so comforting about the ninja. He's a true master of his craft.
Great vid! Only tuned back in recently, glad to see Tyler doing well and seemingly, happier. Ninja has come on so much since I last watched, far more comfortable in front of the camera, top bloke! His knowledge is vast and impressive.
Johnny looks like he's just trying to be nice. Good friend!
Ooooo nice camera work and editing. We love you Hoovie!!!
Go Tyler 😁💪
This ugly car right here?
With Johnny's experience I would be extremely interested in hearing his opinions on the later versions of the N63/S63 V8 and whether the revisions that they made increased the reliability of the engine.
the 3td revision 13-16 are the best
@@johndc2998 no 2020 revisions are the best
The quality of the production on this video is noticeably improved! Nice work, love it.
Dear Hoovies Garage,
S$ 65 only
18. Tyres are Michelin 4S front and rear is PS4 only ( I want back not to be too sticky)
22. Warmest Regards.
.
Video quality feels more like a TV show rather than a vlog 👍👍
The good news is Hoovie has made a lot of good friends along the way. At least he has them now in this hard time for him. #theboys 🍻
what's going on?
@@Nick-ue5bp divorce
@@fishijoe He hasn't actually said that, though it is pretty obvious. I've always said that women have two sets of teeth. One in their mouth, and one in their [insert female body part here].

WOAH. A major step up in production there Hoovie! Great work, what an inspiration!
Your usual video format felt genuine and relatable almost. This new format feels cheap and makes me eye-roll every time. Please don't CarTrek-ify your usual videos.
Ninja is never happy. He is SUPER happy. We should be more like Ninja.
If I had Johnny or the Wizard as a mechanic, I'd take their recommended advice and go with it.
I don’t know why but I think it’s Beautiful! If it had all its power it would be Awesome! Waxed up and nice exhaust note would be Really Cool!!!
Hoovie, been following along for years. Really enjoy the channel. The production and general quality of this video is fantastic.
I'll grab some of my contact spray adhesive for plastics and fix it.
replace the line or eventually it will likely break again. you're either screwing yourself or the next owner with adhesive.
@@ivanmaior8637 I screwed the next owner. Sold it a month ago and bought a loaded Grand Cherokee.
A sucker... Opps, I mean BMW buyer is born every minute.
Unfortunately, a BMW dies every 2 seconds.
I really liked the look of these, not sure why, but I always have.
"not sure why"
Same with me, it looks better the more you see it. It grows on you. It looks muscular
First gen X6's look the best.
I relate with how shocked Hoovie is by the fact that his BMW isn't completely mechanically totalled.
Me too bro this old bmw i was preparing to feel financially as worthless as i am
I personally like the old filming style more, I love to watch from a POV standpoint instead of just watching two people talk in the distance
Love the new production style. I feel I can see more what is going on. I do agree with original POV style but I think a happy medium would be to talk to the camera directly also with the new production. :)
Did I spot a Ford Sierra Cosworth in the background?! 😳 9:22
i hate the new “tv look” direction hoovies going.
Love hoovies videos! I do prefer the lower production videos...just saying, save the cash.
This one definitely has the Velocity Garage feel to it. Very "Car Ninja" channel style. I dig it, guy does a great job.
I really appreciate more content from the dumbest automotive channel during this difficult time Hoovie! Keep up the great work!!!
Car Ninja totally missed Hoovie's full extension joke @ 11:10. 😅😅😅
Uh oh, Tyler hired a new filmer and editor! Can't get too high class on us.
@Hoovies Garage
I like this video much better than than the ones where you're screwing around all of the time.
Oh man! When you guys were hitting those bumps and bouncing around it made me laugh so much! Please keep going Hoovie!
The panning shots make it feel like a cheap tv-show..
Keep us up to date on repair. Great work dudes.
Video quality, sound quality and videography look incredible!! It all looks incredible!
Yoh, the more professional editing and camera work caught me off guard. Its different and alot of people are hating on it but they are just scared of evolution. Its still 100% Hoovie and I am definitely open to seeing more of it!
Please bury this one Tyler.
Give it to Whistlin Diesel for a red-dead episode!
Deep, deep in the dirt.
Look out, it's chapter two.
I can’t wait for the part three!
Bit over produced, prefer the GoPro, no music style 👍🏻
Yes it felt like a show that would be on tv 😂
I may be in the minority, but I love the styling. I can’t wait to see this thing running like it should.
Can’t say I’m a fan of the new editing.
with all respect to camera crew, this doesn't feel as good as a regular hoovies garage episode does, hopefully it's something exclusive to this video
I appreciate the effort and the result but to be honest I prefer the original hoovie production videos..it gave that extra "dumb" feeling that I simply loved..😅😅
Insane improvement in video production quality! I wasn't expecting this!
Sorry Hoovie, your polished video quality and editing is a 180 from why I truly enjoy your content. I’m heading back over to LegitStreetCars.
These are not ugly. Idk what they’re talking about. Best looking suv of the mid 2000’s
