    From a Bandit 1200 to the 2019 GSX-S1000. Love it. Installed the M4 with Leo Vince. Did Woolich myself with the log box. Re-flashed after reading the AF ratios about 10 times. Removed airbox baffle and replaced rear shock with Wilbers 641. No idea how close to "ideal" dyno tune it is. But satisfied. Like the Bandit, they took the older GSXR sport bike engine from 10 years previous and put in a less sport bike and better all around bike package.

    I love my 2023 gsxs 1000. I use it for my everyday commute and it never disappoints. I like it more than my R6!

    I have a stretched 2018 gsxs1000 and for real these bikes are underated. I got a decat with a mgp slip-on without tune but let me tell you something. My gearing is -1 in the front and +3 on the rear and I'm nose to nose with my friend who have a streetfighter v4s with a full akra and a tune. He got like 220hp and my stock bike only have 150hp. Yeah my gearing is different but he is tuned and im not. These bike are underated !!

      Yeah highly underrated. I really would love to drive it in the street/track and see what it would lay out

    Nice, no BS review. I'm a short guy, so I'm looking at a GSXR750. I'll put a complete Akra Evo 2 on it if they still make it, tune it, and buy some real wheels for it. I like CF, and I kept my last bike 20 years, so I am going to have the bike I have always wanted.

    I rode a 2024 at a demo day. It was the first time I had ever ridden a 1000 and it was shocking to me how powerful it was. I had been planning on getting a ZX-6R in the future but I think I want one of these instead.

    You should have removed the air flow restrictor plate before installing the air filter... Let her breathe!
    Nice vid ✌🏽

    I've had several of the GSXS 1000's with and without the fairing. NOW BOUGHT THE gen 2 naked that I quite like. Its overall look and comfort is what I was looking for to add to the collection... hoping they bring out a gen 3?? My gen 1 achieved 152rwhp and the gen 2 is currently at 160 with a new filter and exhaust

    Not sure on tuning side of the bikes but I know for cars called stoichiometric afr is 14.7:1, not sure why 13.5:1 would be lean? I also fly planes, we get the best efficiency at 18:1 but then again that's because air density is crap up there lol.

    Can this bike not be tunes true the ODB port with woolish equipment?
    Why do you need to go near the ECU
    Yoshimura exhaust looks great sounds great very very good system

    • @provenpowercycles
      @provenpowercycles  7 месяцев назад +2

      So the sds plug is utilized mainly to read/clear diag codes and view engine data. Not to read or write the ecu. 🤙

    It looks like the restrictor plate in the lower air box was left in, as I’ve seen these usually being removed as a mod for these bikes?

    • @SanchezLema
      @SanchezLema 7 месяцев назад

      I noticed that as well.
      Took it out and it runs slightly better, didn't notice any increase in noise.

  • @andytarbet3935

    Needs the restrictor plate removing from the airbox- you will see another 10 horse power

  • @deadlifteveryday

    What difference does it make when you remove the air restrictor plate in the airbox under the air filter

      @bxl1121 i would still look to do the exhaust, you can still do a mail in flash to help get it near where you need to be 🤙

    Stupid question ; I had my GSXS1000 2022 dyno'd on full stock(no AFR tuned) making 141 hp and 109nm torque.
    We had the bike installed with a full yoshimura exhaust (with baffle in) and tuned and it made 143 HP and 109 NM torque.
    Is it normal for such a low gain even with baffle in?

    • @dnd640
      @dnd640 7 месяцев назад

      Mine was about 147 without the baffle with the m4. I would take the baffle out and see. You've got way more torque then claimed

    • @provenpowercycles
      @provenpowercycles  7 месяцев назад

      Eh I would pull the baffle. That can be pretty restrictive on biked. You will pick up a few hp just from removing that typically. But if it highly restrictive you will need a retune to account for the added air flow

    • @1587-i3w
      @1587-i3w 7 месяцев назад

      @@dnd640 what do u mean more torque than claimed? Showed me same max torque
      Same torque before full exhaust

  • @PipeWagonTV

    It should have produced more hp than that. Remove the flaps partially blocking the left and right intake openings

  • @gsxrkz
    @gsxrkz 4 месяца назад

    Has anybody actually put a gsxr1000 k7 k8 motor in this bike yet? That would be a great set up, And for all the people who think k5K6 is better, you're wrong. The head on the 07 08 bike is much better, 175hp+ or-back wheel.
