Don't count some modern bmw models out, their reliability is alright. You can't neglect them the way you can neglect a yammie or a zuki though, but then again you shouldn't do that for anything. The bmw is basically just an upmarket gsxs.
i dont think suzuki has better reliability then yamaha. I would say they are about the same, maybe yamaha better. But the MT10 at only 36 mpg claimed??!? WTF they did something wrong. I'd bet they put moto gp gearing in the tranny and it will suck to ride, buzzy as hell.
@@stoggy4839 how many Suzukis have you owned? I have had 37 so far. Raced about half of them. Not one has ever broken, anything! Not even in 6 and 8 hour endurance races. My current bike, a 2023 Vstrom 1050 has nearly 27,000 miles on it. Have ridden it around the entire US… in all kinds of weather, thunderstorms, sleet, snow, rain, hail, even an EF5 tornado, twice in the last year. Not one thing has gone wrong on it either. I know they are more reliable than Yamaha.
@@craigg4246 Holy shit you have owned 37 Suzukis? A true testament to Suzuki quality. Your mom must be so proud. I have owned 6 Yamahas in 50 years. I started on a 1978 IT 500.

Go for the Suzuki S1000 and simply use the cost different to buy the Yoshimura full exhaust system and OZ Racing forged wheels. (Weight reduce over 10kg.)
OZ forged wheels are $2k rear. $1.5k front. good luck, but i like the way you think. the mt10 is 36mpg. That is crazy low, yamaha did something stupid. probably put motogp gearing in the tranny. It would guess its buzzy as hell to ride, prefectly fine for motogp but terrible on the street.
It's so difficult to choose... Nowadays... Motorcycles are coming with great looking and designs.. whether it's a NAKED STREETS Bikes or FULL - FAIRED SPORTS Bikes . Cheers 🎉 🥂 to those TOP MOTORCYCLES COMPANIES who's currently ruling the motorcycles world with their superBIKES 😊😊😊
Engine power should take into account of torque charts. Yamaha's engine gets the peak at the lowest RPM. Plus, both Yamaha and Suzuki has lower compression ratio that BMW (comp ration of .5 is huge in 1000cc engine). You will NOT notice the difference between these bikes in a normal roads. It all depends on tires you choose, and riding techniques. Test ride all of them, and get one that fits your budget, and makes you comfortable. Cannot go wrong with any of them - do check out Honda CB1000R and Triumph Triple as well. All in similar price range.
Yamaha offers the SP model, with semi-active suspension by O'hlins, version 2.1, which is the most advanced today. In the electronics aid section, you should add the adjustability of this suspension too. Obviously, you are biased towards bmw with the myriad of electronic problems. No matter what you do, Yamaha and Suzuki are selling 10 times more MT-10 and GSX than all bmw combined. Check the numbers!

Cross plane delivers power to the wheels in different pulses from flat plane which is what makes it easier in my opinion to ride heavy torque machines such as when exiting corners. The Cross plane format itself does not produce more torque, just a different characteristic engine.
Due to their firing order, they have a much more broad spread of torque. While even firing orders like regular I4s or p twins tend to be a little peaky, this is why V configuration engines are superior, less inertia with a shorter crankshaft, smoother power delivery due to balance, more torque in all it's powerband, and ultimately it has less fictional losses making more power. I really don't understand why a company like Honda would give up something that made people look up to them, we really don't need a fireblade for our superbike, we need an rvf1000r, even if it's more expensive..
- BMW = nothing for me too expensive too boring and a lot of errors - Suzuki = boring but cheaper - Yamaha = Is the best option if you want to have fun crazy ride but also nice gliding rides
ALL ARE FLAWED.. in one aspect: SAFETY / VISIBILITY. Those tiny, twinkie head and tail lights are near to INVISIBLE by other drivers, especially the dumb & distracted. People will get killed from these.
The Suzuki’s $3000 price advantage, and far superior reliability than either of the others, does it for me.

Idc what you all say, that Suzuki got character
I have try the gsx s some week ago. Fantastic bike!!!
Even tho I love the MT, gotta admit, Suzuki's are cheaper and more reliable and you can go crazily with them
suzuki, the price is really great and 152 HP is enough
Suzuki forever
I love suzuki
I'd take the mt10 even if i find the front kind of ugly, I just love the sound of the i4 crossplane also Yamaha reliability

BMW s1000r for 14.000$?where is it? Go to the dealer bmw and you will see numbers around 20.000-21.000$before tax and dealer’s fees
If we talking about UsA

GSXS for me.
Cb1000r, is it discontinued?
Don't know, but the Hornet 1000 is set to replace the old ones

How the crossplane which is famous for high torque is lower than bmw with 2nm ?

One improvement to your videos would be to have imperial measurements included for viewers that don’t use metric.
