If I was in the market for a big skoot, this would be where my money would go. I like the whole off road look. Whether it can do it or not is irrelevant
Great review short & concise & agree what was said throughout.... Test rode this bike on 11 September 18. I would refer to it as a Crossover, midway between Maxi Scooter & Motorcycle with ‘off road styling’. It feels like your riding a bike with its upright wide handled position, much like my former BMW GS 650. Plus points, great MPG (avg 64mpg in countryside)it inspires confidence, well balanced, fun DCT modes, some seat storage basically puts a smile on your face. Negatives, engine is ‘lumpy’ maybe tiring on longer rides, too tall for my 30 inch inside leg (lowering kits available), screen in tall position buffered my head, needs to shed some of its weight for city riding & why not have it belt driven for ease of care. Personally I’d have one BUT as my Vespa GTS does all I need (far less weight) for my style of riding, I won’t be changing or adding this to my garage soon. Great idea tho & it’s no off reader as this reviewer points out...
That is great feedback. I also have the GTS 300 HPE since we mostly use it in the city, but am considering this Honda for its more motorcyclesque traits.
Neil Goulding Do you not find the suspension somewhat hard or is it adjustable.? On my test ride the smallest bumps jolted me through the plain flat seat. I must be a softie now I’m use to my Vespa GTS300 soft seat lol....
I wonder why they always call it a scooter.. it's a full pledge Motorbike.. with dual clutch transmission which is going to be the future of Motor bikes Engines. Even the Manufacturer designates it as a Motorbike. It's like calling a Car with DCT a Go Cart.
LOVELY BIKE BUT WHY CAN'T HONDA DO THEM IN A 125, 250, 300, 400 CC, IT WOULD MAKE MORE SENSE FOR ALL WHO WOULD LIKE A CHEAPER OPTION,BUT SAME SPECS AND SIZE,, JUST SAYING,, NOT EVERY ONE HAD 13 K.
If I wanna go off road, I pick something good for off road. If I want a scooter, I will go for a Tmax which is of much less weight and more or less the power and much much more practical.
Fairly typical of a long standing issue with much of British motorcycling journalism, I'm afraid. With some exceptions, it tends to be quite reactionary, and negative toward new developments. There is common reference to 600cc bikes as being "good first big bikes" and a sneering attitude towards scooters, and sometimes to rider safety aids, rather than a realistic view of bikes as transport as well as fun, and support for new styles of bike which broaden rider's options. It's one of the reasons the UK took a long time to move on from everyone buying race replicas to a more considered approach. I think there is a new generation of RUclips reviewers who don't come with the same old prejudices. It's a shame (Especially given where it comes from) that Visordown (Which often does good reviews) is sometimes so ill-considered. (Edit: Sorry for the rant, folks)
Because some people can only have 1 motorcycles, and they need a scooter to move around town, so... this bike gives the option of enjoying a bit of offroad while keeping the city driving flexibility.

As an American I wish we had this and it's base model
Bought brand new the 2019 model. Very happy with it 👌🏽
Scooter with offroad capability? Hell yeah honda!

Hi what sat nav are you using there ? Seems to fit very well
Why does the NC 750 Range not have this kind of suspension and brakes?
How did they get Ricky Gervais to narrate this?
Hmm, doesn't appear to be sold in the states.
Is this more capable off road or the mini adventure bikes like versys x or gs310 kitted out lightly?
Asad S I am no expert, but I know nothing beat low weight offroad
do you think they will make 1000cc?
Is anyone else getting a high pitched tone about a second after he finishes a sentence?
comradealexie Yep
Yep annoying
I've got one, great round country roads with the state of them nowadays !
Trying to work out what the sat nav s been attached with?

Nice review.

It was designed by an Italian then he went to Honda with the idea
Italian =scooter as they are use everywhere in Italy
such a nice review, thank you.
I think it's called the X-ADV for ADVenture -- not X-AVD.
mule65x Cross Adventure
It would be great, if they put a cruse control on it.
ROB NAVAEI The Yamaha TMAX has cruise control. I just think it'd be great to see these big scoots in the States!

I like this bike.
Use saddle bags

Way too much sarcasm. Possibly the worst review for this product, and I’ve seen hundreds... shame.

I know for a fact would I like to ride this for 150 miles, or a KTM 790😬
Big laptop, mate.
Why would you take your scoot off road anyways?!?! Why wouldn't you just take a good dual sport

X-ADV = Cross Adventure
Mehhh. This is not scooter and not motorcycle, if i buying maxi scooter ill buy tmax, if I buying motorcycle ill buy africa twin,or something else
Doesn't matter what you CALL it if you enjoy riding it.
I find this to be a very ugly machine, especially with the top box...! I don't think it's going to find much of a following...
Greg Carpenter You are wrong - in Italy it’s the best selling maxi scooter at the moment.
@@CEAAJI www.rideapart.com/articles/265193/honda-sales-beat-bmw-in-italy/ not only maxi scooters, its most selling out of all motorcycles sold
You are probably older than the intended demographic. I find it a looker.
