As soon as I hired this in Madeira Portugal for five days I wanted to buy it. But I wanted style so went for the Forza 750. Traded in my BMW R1200RT. What I like about the manual mode is the you want in auto you’ve slowed down auto will change so it won’t labour the engine. I did a round trip London to Hinckley and back turn a nice 71 miles to the gallon. Also ordered the central locking top box. I absolutely Love it. Also later fitted the pair of side panniers. Did a trip to France Spain and Gibraltar then home through Madrid to Santander for the sailing to Portsmouth. 2200 miles over ten days minus two day in Reinosa waiting for the ferry. Never faulted me.
@@EindjeEmre I definately love it. It's the only bike I'd re-buy. Extremely frugal , extremely comfortable, with enough power where you really don't need anymore, with off-road capabilities beyond my expectations, and looking as good as hell. Only advice is try not to crash it. I had a small accident where I broke a few parts from the front of the bike. And the repair cost is equal to 2/3rds of what I paid for the bike.
It's definately a MUTANT. It's an X-adv like X-men after all. I own one, and loving it. I did 6000km's in 2 months since I got it and that was WITHIN city limits, and during a weekend-quarantine. And with the summer coming up, it looks like I'll be making no less than 25-30K kilometers on this in 1 year.
I drive this one, almost a year now. Went for a drive with my cousin and his girlfriend, he drives the 2009, 200 hp, Yamaha V-max, she drives the BMW K1300R, absolute beasts ! But my X-adv keeps up just fine, takes corners much easier then that v-max. When I take a passenger with me, there's so much space in the back, that pillion doesn't even touch you ! Great touring bike, not a missile though like you said in your great review, and indeed that very unique design, people ask you questions about it all the time. Is it a bike or a scooter, well, for me it's a bit of both, take it to the city, leave you helmet under the seat, or take it for a 400 mile drive to the hills, this thing does it all ! If you drive in the dark a lot, I would recommend the optional lighting, stock lights very vissible, but not that powerfull in the dark.
thanks for the kind words Marcus. Glad you enjoyed the videos. It is an awesome bike indeed, and we thought it was a little of both, a scooter and a bike too. Will keep up with the best of them and can honestly say its the best (scooter/bike/crossover/adv) I've ridden so far... love the looks too! Ride Safe buddy :)
I currently ride a BMW K1300GT and I was impressed with this bike. it brought back flash back of my old GS adventure. Would definitely consider it for touring or commuting or just for the fun. And it was even comfy for the pillion. Great little bike with lots of potential. DCT was brilliant. Really hard to fault this bike.
I’m now in Madeira Portugal. I’m on day two out of five days on hiring this bike. I just love it. A fully automatic gearbox. Want to buy one when I come back to North London.
Hi there! What a fantastic review. I discovered your channel looking for X adv. The best review I’ve ever seen. So many details. Worth the time spent. And by the way I ride an X adv since 3 months and have done already almost 12000 kms. Is it a scooter or a bike? Who cares? 100 pleasure 0 problem. So thank you and a warm hello from Israël !
Hello to you too. Thank you so much for those kind words it really means a lot to us both. The X-adv was a real surprise and is a fab bike. Agreed that it doesn’t matter if it’s a bike or a scooter, all we know is it is fun. Ride safe buddy :)
In Finland the price is 15500€ inkl.all taxes. But i,m very happy with my X-ADV 37000 KM in 2,5 seasons, twice Finland -Spain costa de sol,no problem at all💙💙
GREAT review guys! As an ole biker with an overwhelming urge to get back on a bike I have been searching for a auto gear scooter (I'm a left leg amputee), and this is THE ONE for me. HOPE you don't mind I share here but there are more videos of off road demos. of the X-ADV. Clearly need to develop a whole lot of experience before going wild, but off road places not out of reach.
Came across your channel wow 750 gotta love it, i have the ADV 150 and love it But this will be my next bike for sure. i just hope Honda will have it in the US Must Have . :)
Honda PC800 rear foot pegs recessed into the fairings. An early 90s Honda fully enclosed bike. I owned 2 of them, awesome at what they were supposed to do, if a decent one came up I might be tempted again.😀
2 things i love ... 1_ you fit in . form going to work caffe or adv .. with athere bikes . 2_ look at ( x end ..or fixing the bike to suit you ..look in youtube .you cant do that with athere bike . like afrca or gs or sport bikes . it rock
I own an NC750D, which is a heavily faired version of an NC750X....the XADV shares the same pipeline of NC series and no it's not that small or light but....it is COOL. I bought my bike in 2019, but i drooled over this one in 2020.
Just bought a 2018 version and am waiting for delivery. I've owned a 650 Burgman before and I loved it except that it was awkward for me to manoeuvre at walking pace (because of where I garage a bike). The x adv is great to ride and a lot easier for me.
I have a Honda ADV150 with about 3,500 miles in the first 9 months and its brilliant but sadly a bit underpowered compared to the X-ADV. Milage is about 100 MPG though. The 150 is fantastic around town and will cruise at 60 all day. But...PLEASE Honda, bring the X-ADV to the States. I'd sell my F800GS and the ADV150 and pickup one of these in a heartbeat. I'd keep the R1200GSA for the adventure touring though. Thanks for the report!
Think this will be the bike that will get me back on the road, there after market foot pegs so you can stand up for mild off road use, ideal for what I want to do, back and fore to work, road trips around Europe.
Planning on cutting my heard down to one or two bikes and this will replace my 14- 1200 Tenere, 95-E900 Ducati Elefant, my 06 KLR and 2 Honda 125 trail bikes, (+ a few more) once they bring this one to the USA. I'll be 70 this year and this should be a good ride for me and the misses to take with us on our RV. IF the world ever comes to its senses. Should fit nicely back there with my 4 x 4 truck.
Fantastic road test, that bike looks just what I've been looking for, going to try one as soon as this lockdown is over. Honda quality and reliability just can't beat it.😄
Excellent revue. I would argue this is a dct auto bike with rear hand brake and foot boards, both more comfortable IMHO. Thought you were going to break into song - "blue hue" (blue moon), disappointed you didn't.... :). I'm keen as mustard to get one, even though here in Thailand it's nearly £11,000 due to the crap value of the pound at exchange. Need to hire one for a couple of days for a proper trial as you can't get a decent test ride here, I was only allowed to run up and down the car park, never out of 2nd gear! I hired a Honda Forza 300 as a trial and then saw this, no contest, the XADV didn't feel any heavier, and the extra power would be useful on the mountains. Almost tempted to jump in on the strength of your review. Appreciated your honest opinion coming from a traditional bike rider. Thanks guys.
Great video as always lads. I've got the NC750X with DCT and it's great! As an aside you can get top boxes and siderails for panniers for this bike. Keep them videos coming! Thanks again.
Hey Mike, thanks for the kind words, as it really does mean a lot to us both. Glad your enjoying them. The X-ADV was certainly a fab bike to review and full of fun too
When the picture of the bike came into the vidro from the right, it scared me half to death. I was looking at your video, because i saw the motorcycle in a Honda 2018 motorcycle convention video. Wanted to see the motorcycle in action.
Great review. Do you know whether differently styled seats are available now? If that was sorted it would make a terrific tourer. Thanks to you, I am now sorely tempted. Your enthusiasm was infectious!
thanks for the first review that takes account of a pillion ,, and having seen the angle of your knees, my mrs wont like that at all ,, the X ADV idea is great but as usual its too small for adults , will honda do an 800cc or dare i dream of an 1100cc africa twin engined one ?? give us a great big one that takes 2 adults in comfort and im at the dealers with cash in hand
Excellent review, mate! You guys are doing great work! Really considering this bike for whenever I’m in the Philippines as the road infrastructure there is limited and may have to do some occasional dirt track riding. Plus it just has that cool factor to it. Stay safe, Lads.
Speaking of a decent horn, the Denali Sound Bomb appears to be outstanding. Even if the scooter owners had to replace their own, it shouldn't be nearly as expensive as having a crash because their horn wasn't heard by the other driver. Apparently the Denali costs less than $100 here in the States.
here in Italy this bike is having quite a lot of following really, in my opinion is not a foolish thing to say that it might as well replace a full bore bike if that bike is used for long, tarmack based tours. It might be less engaging than riding a bike, but the mobility aspect is all there. Plus both givi and shad already make full topbox and panniers for it, the same one that goes on the GS and the like so... that price though, hard to justify in a country that is not Italy or France
Great review, Rode one last year when they were released, great bike, really enjoyed it, but it ain’t an off-roader, yes you can take it down tracks, but ground clearance is it’s main issue, as well as the small wheels. There’s panniers for it now, so I think it would also make a great touring bike (by the way, Honda don’t sell it as a scooter and I’d suggest it’s a motorcycle that looks like a scooter). It rides like a proper bike, is reasonably quick feeling, great fuel economy (I got 84 mpg), good screen, just needs heated grips and the optional foot pegs, then you have three foot positions, depending on how you feel/want to ride. I didn’t buy one as I couldn’t get over the £10k price. Just bought an Africa Twin Adventure Sport 😄, so please do a review on the one Mark was riding 😜 please.
Hey mate, thanks for the kind words and comments. We thought much the same as to it’s off road capability but a great looking bike and certainly goes as well as most others :) 84 mpg is huge too! Great choice of your bike you bought, and yeah stay tuned for our review on the Africa twin adventure ;) Ride safe
MARK AND TOBY I cant stop laughing you must hear this video at 26.35 - 26.37 You both will laugh too, its sounds like Toby Farted (Tore one off) When he sat in the Pillion Position... I was in Hysterics, you will be too....Play this video through those timings and you will laugh too..... Ha ha ha ha
Good review Toby/Mark, I borrowed a NC750X DCT when my Crosstourer was in for service and loved the engine. In terms of the DCT, glad you liked it, I love it on the Crosstourer, clever technology!
Hey Craig, what did you think of the NC given you’re used to the CrossTourer? Enough poke to have fun? I’d imagine the DCT would be a massive benefit on a relatively low output motor.
I just subscribed. Thank you for your review sir. Sadly, I don’t think these bikes will arrive in America anytime soon. Even though they just jacked up our gas prices. Please give us your measurements - how tall are you and what is your inseam. Thank you again
Nice review. I have a Honda 300 Forza and love it. This one has a hefty price and hefty weight along with some hefty depreciation! Scooter with a chain, no thanks. Cheers.
I can't understand for the life in me why they can't put the rear break on floor pane, you you can use your foot, like the Yamaha 180 Riva did back in the day.
You guys are awesome, loving the channel. Like a couple of old biddies in really nice biking gear, great chemistry between you guys. It's a shame they don't sell this in Canada I think my wife would like this bike. I had a hell of a time finding an automatic bike or her to learn on, eventually found an Aprilia Mana 850 with 1900km on it that was 8 years old. Is this the same engine from the smaller adventure bike NCX 750??
Hey Colin, thanks so much for the kind words as it really does mean a lot to us both. We loved reviewing this bike as it was certainly fun and full of surprises too! Not sure about whether its the same engine as the NCX 750, although it probably is, just with a few tweaks. Ride safe on those amazing Canadian roads... :)
Top review. I have been looking for something that will do a trip from the UK to Gibralter next year. I currently ride a 2008 Ducati Monster 696 and was contemplating a move up to the 950 S Multistrada but I think I may have been tempted to switch to one of these. The only thing its missing is cruise control. Perhaps Honda will fit one in the future ?. Anyway Thanks again.
Comparing a burgman to the X ADV is like comparing apples to oranges one is luxury street bike and the other is an adventure sport scooter designed for off road as well as one road. you just can compare the two in any category.
I think honda should forget the adventure side of this “scooter” . Just keep that side of it As a styling excercise. I would never ride it off road and no one else I’ve spoken to would. Put a belt drive on it and a better screen and I’d have one in a heartbeat .
Stumbled across your channel today whilst researching this bike. Great review and so I have subscribed :) I am 44 and only been riding 3 months. I bought a Forza 125 as a means to commute into Oxford (which is a daily joke in a car or on public transport), and now I am totally in love with riding. I can’t drive a car or ride a manual bike because I got shot in the leg whilst on tour in Bosnia back in 91, and so this is seems a logical progression for me, albeit rather pricey. Still willing to take the punt. How was your back after riding on this? Wish some bikers were not so judgemental and critical when they pull up next to me on my scooter. Had to put a Ducati rider in his place the other day.
Hey buddy,, thanks for the comments and the kind words. Welcome to the channel :) . Its an awesome bike indeed and i loved riding it. My back was fine after although for me 5'10 the seat could have done with a little adjustment backwards but other than that it was all good. I loved this one :)
I have the burgman 650, and thinking now of changing to the X-ADV . would this be fine for going as far as spain , portugal ?? ive done it on the burgie 650 with no issues . Just wondering if this would be okay ?? dosent seem as substantial as the burgie ?/ great viedo !!! thanks A..
Love Hondas DCT and loved the riding position once on the *Mooter , but there lies your problem? If your short in the seam then these are a real pain and really awkward to get on and especially off, owned one for two weeks and got shot of it for that real reason...Pity as apart from that it was a great machine. * Mooter because its not a bike and its not a scooter.
Very good review. I too found the bars too close especially on the 350. Question for owners, are you happy with the old dash or prefer the new one (as on my XL750) Am seriously thinking of getting a used one. I love the X-Centricity of this mutant.
I realise that you chaps live on the edge of the universe, but I am SO surprised that you didn't know that Blue Hue is the great grandson of Barney McGrew. So now, you do ; ))
Why I got rid of my Honda 750 DCT ... Horrible chain maintenace every 600km (500 miles) (4-5 days commuting) and worn out every 20 000km (15 000 miles), noisy, dirty, oily every day.; No electric windshield for rain and muck in highway traffic and trucks on wet roads; no cruise control speed hold function; No big orange fuel warning light to flash at you when you hit fuel low reserve, so you forget and run out of fuel on the motorway !!! every 2-3 days. ( also mine did not have Ice warning or TPMS.) I think new ones have now.
It’s a nice bike or scooter lol I did a test ride of the nc750x dct I can see the apeal of the dct I looked at this bike buts it close on 10.000 in the uk with delivery . I could see no good deals on pcp either a good alternative is the nc750d integral scooter it’s the same bike as the nc750x dct but in scooter for also it’s around 8.000 in the uk with sum pcp deals only down fall with this bike and integra is no real storage the integra does not have storage for a helmet so a back box would be required but in the uk how often do ppl go off road do in my opion the integra with better wind protection is the better option
As soon as I hired this in Madeira Portugal for five days I wanted to buy it. But I wanted style so went for the Forza 750. Traded in my BMW R1200RT. I just sold my R1200GS for one of these. I'm receiving my 2020 X-ADV in about a month. Can't wait. Good review. Thanks guys.

I test rode one recently and concur with your comments. Honda first mobility scooter /motorcycle with attitude, I loved it!
I've had my XADV for 12 months and it does exactly what it says on the tin. Excellent bike it gets more attention than my Triumph 1050R.

We thought much the same as to it’s off road capability but a great looking bike and certainly goes as well as most others :)
84 mpg is huge too!
Great choice of your bike you bought, and yeah stay tuned for our review on the Africa twin adventure ;)
Ride safe
Fantastic honest review! Could you please do Honda NC750X DCT?
MARK AND TOBY I cant stop laughing you must hear this video at 26.35 - 26.37 You both will laugh too, its sounds like Toby Farted (Tore one off) When he sat in the Pillion Position... I was in Hysterics, you will be too....Play this video through those timings and you will laugh too..... Ha ha ha ha
it was funny indeed.. no farting took place hahahahahhahaa
Good review Toby/Mark, I borrowed a NC750X DCT when my Crosstourer was in for service and loved the engine. In terms of the DCT, glad you liked it, I love it on the Crosstourer, clever technology!
Hey Craig, thanks for the kind words. Its an awesome machine and certainly full of surprises too. really enjoyed this one.
Hey Craig, what did you think of the NC given you’re used to the CrossTourer? Enough poke to have fun? I’d imagine the DCT would be a massive benefit on a relatively low output motor.
DervMan I loved it! Borrowed one again for 5 days and couldn’t keep
Off it, took time off work to ride it more, and it has plenty of poke.
Craig Thompson That's it, I'm booking q test ride at Fowlers this week!
Great stuff :)
Thanks to you I ordered this bike.
Great review
hey Petr, thanks for the kind words. great choice too!
Great review sir. Very clear and to the point. Interesting piece of bike!
Great review! Love your voices and enjoyed your styles. Take care!
I just subscribed. Thank you for your review sir. Sadly, I don’t think these bikes will arrive in America anytime soon. Even though they just jacked up our gas prices. Please give us your measurements - how tall are you and what is your inseam. Thank you again
We are 5.10 and 5.11 with 32 inside. Ride safe
Nice review. I have a Honda 300 Forza and love it. This one has a hefty price and hefty weight along with some hefty depreciation! Scooter with a chain, no thanks. Cheers.
splodge 57 great scooter been looking at one the new forza 300 is due out soon
It's a Honda 90 on steroids lol .However it's well over priced
Really good review guys..lots of detail.
Hey Michael, thanks for the kind words. Glad you enjoyed it. Ride safe ;)
I can't understand for the life in me why they can't put the rear break on floor pane, you you can use your foot, like the Yamaha 180 Riva did back in the day.
¨Wonderfull review. This might be the one for me.
Thanks.
Why not available in Aussie? I reckon they would sell well down under.
Great review, thank you. Please how tall are you? Want to know if stock screen will be enought for me (186cm). Thank you
Mirek about 1.80m
When are you going on test ride on The Honda Forza 750cc....... Another amazing Bike to from Honda
As soon as we can but on another lockdown here in the UK :( stay safe
@@RiderCamTV we will brother (God is in control 👍👍
@@RiderCamTV definitely like to see forza 750 review chaps
Comparing a burgman to the X ADV is like comparing apples to oranges one is luxury street bike and the other is an adventure sport scooter designed for off road as well as one road. you just can compare the two in any category.
Another good review guys
Thanks Lyn :)
I think honda should forget the adventure side of this “scooter” . Just keep that side of it
As a styling excercise. I would never ride it off road and no one else I’ve spoken to would.
Put a belt drive on it and a better screen and I’d have one in a heartbeat .
it absolutely is just a styling exercise though
RiderCamTV - Good to know. Hmm, I am 6”2 so maybe it might be a little cramped if you were bunched up. Only a yes ride can answer my question really.
Great review. Thank you.
How is it for long trips, is it comfortable or does it fatigue you? Burgman has more storage but I think less fuel economy.
Yes it is comfy, I have a friend who tours on one. They also have panniers… Ride safe.
I wish Honda would bring these to the US. So far, there's no information indicating that they ever will.
I hope they do as they are Fab!
@@RiderCamTV I would part with my second burgman the second they start selling this in CANADA !!!
This scooter won 2019 Gibraltar rally potatialy amazing off road... Have look what the italian guy done to it....
What about wind protection on Xadv in comparison with new Tmax Dx? What about leg comfort? On which one is better? Tmax or xadv?
both have great wind protection and both are comfortable, i think it is probably acase of which one you like more :)
I wish this was offered in Australia for under For under nine grand
Great bike
I have the burgman 650, and thinking now of changing to the X-ADV . would this be fine for going as far as spain , portugal ?? ive done it on the burgie 650 with no issues . Just wondering if this would be okay ?? dosent seem as substantial as the burgie ?/ great viedo !!! thanks A..
I think so? Ride safe
Interesting format, but can't see it selling well in the UK, too expensive!! I like the idea though.
can't see it selling well in the UK,,,, seems to be doing ok 4 years on :)
Better choice than the Suzuki Burgman Executive 650 for strictly commuting?
Very good review. I too found the bars too close especially on the 350.
Question for owners, are you happy with the old dash or prefer the new one (as on my XL750)
Am seriously thinking of getting a used one. I love the X-Centricity of this mutant.
I would love one of these. Over here in Thailand we now have a 150 version as well which I’m looking at
I am in Chiang Rai. I'd be interested in the X-Adv 750 if it wasn't 238 kilos in weight.
1990 It doesn't feel heavy because of the low centre of gravity. I was surprised coming off a Forza 300 and felt no different in terms of weight
I want one of these but theyre not gunna sell them in Australia . Bugger !
It’s an awesome bike but they will miss a trick if they don’t sell it in Australia too. Ride safe matey
...great video! how tall are you?
5’10”
Great review
If this was shaft drive, it’d be fantastic!
With you there. Although still a fab bike :)
Or belt(s)
A shaft would make it prohibitive. It's overpriced as it is.
Nowt wrong with a chain la!
I realise that you chaps live on the edge of the universe, but I am SO surprised that you didn't know that Blue Hue is the great grandson of Barney McGrew. So now, you do ; ))
Hahahahaha,
Is it really a scooter? I think it’s more of a bike than say the Burgman.
17” wheels are fairly standard sizes on most road bikes
Very right mate. Much more of a bike and it’s awesome! ;)
They define any motorcycle with a floorboard a scooter, which I disagree.
That is how to do a great review 👍
Do a review in London to see what there like for filtering
David Cameron1 Ha! That’s a 260 mile trip up the road for us, would Truro do? Ride safe
eek! that would be fun!
Hi!from Finland to Costa del Sol Spain, comfortable touringbike.
hi Mikael, welcome :)
why did they use spoke wheels, I wonder?
very good video! how tall are you? was it comfortable for your size? and do you bilieve it will be a nice choice for someone 2.02 m? (6.6 feet)
giannis georgiadis I’m 1.80m and had no problem. Take one out for a ride, you will be surprised. Ride safe.
I have a Honda 300 scooter for around town and a Honda VFR 800 for weekends with the boys, would this bike combine the two. ??
Jeff Rawe yes we think it would.
Hello, could you tell me the name of the boots you are wearing please ?.
Roger Williams BMW Santiago
nice looking bike bit pricey !! but at speed does it have enough for overtakes ?
Hey Neil, thanks for the question. It is awesome and has lots of 'poke' too! More than enough for overtakes indeed. Ride Safe
Agree with you. Although a great bike :)
RiderCamTV hi would be great to do test ride of integra nc750dx regards lee
Hey Lee. We will see what we can do ;)
