Thanks, yes I get a lot of people asking how long these repairs take, so I thought it would be good to put a counter up, although this is still an estimation as I have to take the time off for moving the camera around, stopping for phone calls etc, but I think it is fairly accurate. 👍

Got an Alfa Romeo 166 in the grigio doceacqua metallic that has dent under rhs tail light, lhs front door and the odd tiny dent on front wings. Paint is in excellent condition (bar the front bumper), so I feel it is definitely worth it. That, and it's a facelift 166.
Hi Adam, well you're in luck, speak to Mike at www.ozdentpro.com.au/ I had another customer in Oz trying to find someone in Brisbane and he found Mike, it was a really tricky repair and I saw the results on his Facebook page. It came out great, I was chatting to him by email and he seems a really nice guy. Hopefully he can help you, tell him Jake from 1st Track Dents says Hi. 👍
Thanks Wesley, I was just using a standard rubber tip on the Aluminium hammer that I use, It's the tip that comes with the Ultra Dent Tip set: www.ultradenttools.com/products/a44-7-16-6-pc-tip-set-and-tip-holder?_pos=1&_sid=5430179c2&_ss=r Nothing fancy really just basic tools, thanks for watching!👍
Hi Aaron, no I bought a few hundred of each about 5 years ago from a company that is not trading anymore, but it seems no one really does these anymore, most tech's prefer the cherry caps now although I prefer the rubber and vinyl myself. You can take a look on TDN tools in the UK or PDR pro tools www.pdrprotools.co.uk/ Let me know if you find anyone who does the rubber and plastic vinyl tips as I only have a handful left myself now.
Ha ha, you could also just park it at the local supermarket for 10 minutes and you would get the same result 😂 I haven't done a tools of the trade video yet, I put down in the description most of the common tools that I use, but I may do a tools video in the future 👍
@@1st_track_dents so. I'm curious what did you charge??? Because here in Canada 3 hour job. I should charge 5 to 600 dollars minimum. It's cheaper to replace and repaint the fender. Especially if it's an inexpensive vehicle
@@TheToto4562 Yes I understand what you are saying, that's where common sense has to play a part. I am not sure what other companies would have charged for this, maybe around what you said. This customer was a good regular customer of mine and to be honest he didn't like this car and was just going to leave it, so I did him a really good deal as I said I would make a video out of it, therefore I would hopefully claw some of that loss back in a trickle of RUclips revenue, although this is always a gamble and doesn’t always work and I have often ended up losing out! It was done last year and from what I can remember it was less than 400 Canadian dollars
Thanks, you should try it one day. I still remember my first ever dent (1 penny size) and how extremely hard it was to do and how I thought this was impossible, but practice and determination does always win! Have a great weekend 👍
@@1st_track_dents I did buy a wee cheap kit from eBay to have a go at glue pulling a couple of small dents but haven't got around to trying it yet, what do you use to remove the glue from the panel, surgical spirit?
@@qdawg4033 Just watch some of those cheap kits as you may pull the dent out but you could end up with 2 new dents either side of the dent where the rubber feet push onto the panel. To clean the panel beforehand and to remove the glue tabs, I would use a small amount of Isopropyl Alcohol 👍
I'm watching everything you do.... fantastic tutoring jay thanks so much. Iv been practicing small dints on my fridge that my teenager punched.... might use his bloody head for tapping down high crowns 🤣🤣
So do you work outside by choice or are large shops a little harder to come by over there? Here in the US there are some guys that will set up tents and work but usually that's when they're going out of town to chase hail. I haven't really seen very many people by choice work outside here
I do like the freedom of being a mobile tech although trust me there are lots of days where I wish I were in a warm workshop, especially this time of year! Although with all the rising costs right now, not sure that will happen for a while. It would be great to rent a space for a day here and there but I can't find anywhere local to do this either. Most landlords here don't like to rent to anyone in the motor trade. 👍

Hi Aaron, no I bought a few hundred of each about 5 years ago from a company that is not trading anymore, but it seems no one really does these anymore, most tech's prefer the cherry caps now although I prefer the rubber and vinyl myself. You can take a look on TDN tools in the UK or PDR pro tools www.pdrprotools.co.uk/
Let me know if you find anyone who does the rubber and plastic vinyl tips as I only have a handful left myself now.
Complimenti !
That’s cool stuff cold glue
Hello Jake I'm having trouble finding the cold glue you mentioned, can you please tell me the name of it. Thank you
HI Boris, the brand I use is called Glexo cold Glue. 👍
Nice 👍 well done 🛠🛠🛠🛠🛠
Thanks Luke 👍
I love your work, I just want to go and kick my car now to practice. Have you done a tools of the trade video etc?
Ha ha, you could also just park it at the local supermarket for 10 minutes and you would get the same result 😂 I haven't done a tools of the trade video yet, I put down in the description most of the common tools that I use, but I may do a tools video in the future 👍
@@1st_track_dents that is so true 😅

Exelenttttt 👍 eres el mejor amigo
Muchas gracias!
How long did the repair take?
It took just over 3 hours 👍 - ruclips.net/video/YueMxWyJiNs/видео.html
@@1st_track_dents ok. Thank you for the reply.
Where can I get the cold glue with the stick that you have that you’re using on this video
Witchcraft I tell you, would love to have a go at this but don't think I'd have either the skill or the patience
Excelente bro
Thanks Edgar 👍
No substitute for experience.
hi jake i see your videos please upload more latest videos
I'm watching everything you do.... fantastic tutoring jay thanks so much. Iv been practicing small dints on my fridge that my teenager punched.... might use his bloody head for tapping down high crowns 🤣🤣
Ha Ha, I get a lot of inquiries for those big American brushed Aluminium fridges, always being dented by the kids lol! 😂
@@1st_track_dents I just wish it would work on his bedroom door..... the joy of autistic teenagers 🤣🤣
@@shaynefrancis5318 Sounds like he keeps you on your toes Shayne! have a great weekend 👍
@@1st_track_dents you to mate
Where can I purchase this large rubber tip?
