Fantastic job, amazes me that you could take this dent out without having to resort to body filler. When you first showed the crowns and locations I said no way but you proved me wrong.
How on earth you don't have 1 million subs is beyond me 😢 here's to the secret PDR fans.. this is the future no doubt.. and you are this is PDR guru right here.. waiting for when you start your courses so I can enrol asap!
Astonishing! Am amazed that the cold glue does that and removes the dent because it adheres to the paint and not the metal itself. Paper thin metal helps !
Great knowledge share! I have been implementing the PDR basics even though ive been doing a full collision repair, with paint. You have really given me an outlook that works well with metal, the paticence to work with paint (not cracking it) to believe this is truly a great method. Body work takes patience pdr takes even more....👍🏻
Thanks Jimmy, yes even a basic knowledge of PDR can help with your Collision repairs as it can speed some of the repairs up dramatically and reduce the amount of materials needed, hopefully saving you money! All the best 👍
I like to push from behind as long as possible, not causing more damages. Awesome work. I have a damage on Fj cruiser that needs to be pulled out. Maybe tomorrow i will try.. Thanks
Damn man! Each and everyone of your videos impresses me!! You are truly a god of PDR.. if only I can be your apprentice to absorb your knowledge in the PDR work!!
Such a very well explained and detailed video on this art form - The level of videography is A class - It's like a television programme produced by one of the major networks ! I learnt a lot - Many thanks.
Great work! ...................... I am wondering if the cost of his work is more than the value of the car though. Why in the world would anyone give this video a thumbs down?
It's just a personal preference for me, I see the advantage of both, but for me the smoother nature of the lights is simpler and easier on my eyes, for the amount of jobs I do in a day, looking at lines all day would give me a headache I think!
Thanks Joe, really appreciate you watching 👍Yes, quarter panels can be tricky, so you would have to start taking a lot of trims apart or be lucky and find a nice factory hole near the dent that you can feed a bar through. Failing that, if the dent is suitable for glue pulling that can be another method that can be used.
Gracias, me gusta aplicar pegamento frío en los grandes daños para comenzar y el pegamento caliente en las abolladuras más pequeñas en las secciones de doble capa. Puede usar ambos, pero el pegamento frío a veces es menos complicado y más rápido.
He!! So Amazing my friend!! You always empires me! Your a master! I so enjoyed with your last blog!! Thank you! ... lm How watching you from Baghdad- Iraq!!
Really love your channel. I'm assuming youve been pulling dents for a long time, may I ask what the learning curve was like and how long did it take before you where more confident in your work? Again, I find your channel interesting regarding your line of work on these cars.
I was a panel beater first, so I had quite a lot of knowledge of how metal behaves, but I must admit PDR was still a huge challenge and It still took me a couple of years to get comfortable repairing just the small stuff, the larger stuff came a few years later 👍
So I recently started paint less dent repair like 2 months ago and wanted to see how long it took you to learn Pdr to this level? Around how long would it take ? Can you share your story of your struggles mistakes too? Do you have a video like this? Your really really good at Pdr and you make it look easy! Thanks
I am always amazed to see you work on these various dents and how you can get the panels back to being so perfect. How long did it take you to learn how to remove dents at the start of your career? Where could I learn to do that myself?
Hi, I learn't PDR whilst I worked for BMW around the year 2000, luckily i had lots of cars to practice on daily. There are a few people around the world teaching this skill, just depends where you are in the world:-)
Once again Jake, an amazing job there. Just a question as a former spraypainter ;-), why don't you use a small IR Heater to keep the metal at a certain warmth? Greets from Germany stay healthy
Hi Steven, Greetings from the UK. Good question, to be honest I move around quite a lot during these repairs and the floor space can start to get very busy and cluttered, so I quite like using the hand held hot air gun as I can use it when I need and then move it right out of the way when I don't. Also every job I do lately is in the rain so I wouldn't fit everything under my umbrella! 😂
Really nice videos, thanks! I find PDR mezmerizing and as a hard core diy-er it is irresistable. However, trying this on a refrigerator (as one of my first tries) landed in the wife commenting "But now it's a lot bigger dent than before!!!" And after a bit of arguing I unwillingly admitted that it was ;) Is it possible to use glue pulling/knock down like this to fix bigger dents on appliances or am I just barking up the wrong tree? If applicable, it would be really interesting to see you take on these kinds of projects.
The metal on fridges are quite thin so not sure you would get the same result, sometimes you need to finish the dent off by going in behind the panel which you can't really do with a fridge. I get a few requests sometimes for fridges but turn them down as you could spend hours on it and get no where and most of them now have a brushed Aluminium finish on them:-)
@@1st_track_dents Yep, that's right where I'm at. I didn't think of the thickness of the metall. I think I'll just replace the door and pretend this never happened ;) Thanks again for really awesome videos though!
bill ramsey ...although highly unlikely on factory paint, there is a chance of paint delaminating using both hot and cold glues especially with repainted panels.
Yes as Brice said, there is always a chance of that happening on non factory paint. When the panel is being prepped (keyed) for paint using using a fine wet and dry paper or a fine Scotch pad, if it is rushed and not done carefully, areas of the panel could be missed, so effectively the new paint is painted onto a shiny surface, if you was to pull on those areas of the panel the paint on top will come straight off. In the factory each stage is prepped carefully so all paint layers should be adhered well to the layer underneath. My rule is, if it has been painted, I won't glue pull!
😲..Super cool stuff..? Is this available to get somewhere? I love kind of stuff, mending, repairing fixing things and this kinda glue is amazing for it? Cool new technology of the 2020 futuristic stuff..
Hi everyone, another in depth repair video showing you my approach to repairing damage of this type, enjoy!

Definitely one of the best pdr videos I've ever seen 👍🏾👍🏾
Thanks!
Jake, I love your work, but also your manner of presentation. Your vids are top shelf...
Thanks George, I try my best!
I didn’t see any material in this video to classify it as top shelf, did you mean he was spanking her body with his tool?
Top drawer, George. Top shelf is something else entirely.
