I'm pretty new to this but I've been trying to get better at it.Your videos are fantastic. Really appreciate you taking the time to share your knowledge.
Yeah I have a nice 1'-4" long x 4" wide dent/scrach in my door panel. It is on my 2018 ford f-150. Been looking for any videos to help me. This one sure did just that! Thanks I appreciate it. Wish me some luck I am gonna need it!!!
A tip you might want to try' to save on the cost of body-filler' sweep up and filter out the body-filler dust off the floor and then add fiberglass resin to it and reuse it. Recycle.
Watching this after a idiot hit and run on my wifes parked car. This happened when it was parked in the shopping centre car park....repair garages are quoting around £1,200 to repair all the damages. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and skills. 👍💪👊✊
@@GarageNoise Yes it would be very helpful, I’ve been looking all day for videos on doing body work and spraying in cold temperatures but I haven’t found many. This series will definitely help out many with this problem.
Question, can you sandblast a 2 inch area of rust, hit with 80 grit, then apply a rust inhibitor, then bondo glass, etc.. on top? Or skip the inhibitor and bondo over the blasted/80 grit metal? Its on a car roof
@@GarageNoise Thanks... its a smorgasbord of info out there with xyz primer over xyz surface, but DTM only with this stuff, and wet sand this, dry sand that, clean with alcohol, or clean with de greaser etc ... I prefer to do the repair a la 1970's old-school... my dad did the same on our family station wagon decades ago... I remember him working on it... but I was too young to appreciate the work involved.... I'll sandblast, hit with 80 grit, give it a shot of rust inhibitor just in case, bondo glass, sand, putty, sand, urethane prime, urethane prime/seal/filler, sand, basecoat, maybe sand, clear, buff, and then Crack open a beer 🍻 ... does this sound about right?.... BTW thanks for all you do for us newbies fed up with price gouging from the big boys
dint quite catch the end..320 on the primer and prep out paint with 600...what does that mean ''prep out paint with 600"?paint then sand with 600 for clear?
Sand the area you worked on with 320 meaning the dent you repaired and where you sprayed primer then prep the paint means sanding over the whole fender with 600 going over the area you repaired aswell and then spray after sanding the whole thing with 600
You make everything so easy looking!! I guess when a actual Auto Body Technician becomes a Master that’s the results …Amazing!!!!
Thanks brother, after so long of doing this work it's like I'm on auto pilot. Actually got boring until the new challenge of RUclips came around.🤣

Thanks a lot
What kind of bondo did you recommend for beginners?
Great video.,
Hi great vid can you use the same body filler on aluminum body cars as well as older metal body
You know he's a hardened body shop veteran when he mixes Bondo with hardener with NO FUCKING RESPIRATOR!
Never bothers me
I love the smell of bondo
Wait… you’re supposed to wear a respirator?
@@Kalenth per the package’s instructions for long life.
A respirator is required for DUST FROM SANDING .
hi, can you make a video on how to using a curing lamp on body work and high build primer to speed up curing times during winter?
I think I'll do a whole series on spraying in the cold. I've delt with it for years so I think it would be helpful.

@@GarageNoiseFriendly reminder that right now would be a great time for those cold weather videos
Asking for a project idea i have, will either the body filler or the polyester filler work with vinyl?
Hey mate what tip for the main paint and tip for the lauqer thanks
Man I buy a lot of salvage cars I need to learn this
By the way, what exactly tool and attachment did you use at 0:38?

You got the right steps and process so yes you can. If it's pitted I would use the rust inhibitor.

Why do people continue to call it bondo it's body filler body filler geezzz
Bondo is a brand, a low quality brand but when you use the word bondo it's better for the algorithm which leads to more visibility and comments.
Bondo is a brand smoofy that's why they say bondo or filler either way it's the same thing duh
