It’s great to see! It’s thanks to the fact that Araki is very active compared to the average professional manga artist. He swims regularly to exercise and eats healthy! Sadly most Mangaka eat bad and are sedentary. There was a segment I had about this in the video that didn’t make the final cut.
I love it how Shueisha highly criticized Araki in his beginnings, but they ended up coloring all their jojo parts, and now they're highly criticized for their bad colorings on JoJo's hahaha
did you know jojo was on mexican tv several years before the US? When i was in mexico as a tourist, there was jojo stuff everywhere yet i had no idea what jojo was about and assumed it was a Mexican thing. There was jojo toys, jojo chocolate cereals, jojo posters, tons of jojo adds and jojo was being played almost all the time in spanish... I could understand spanish but luckily the name jojo in spanish is the same. Meanwhile the popular shows at home were Lucky Luke, Tintin and Astérix.
You absolutely did Araki and Jojo justice with this one, as a jojo fan for over half a decade most of the things mentioned here I already knew about, but the way you narrated everything and how passionate u sound about jojo made this a certified Jojotube classic great work!
I know that I certainly did. Keep up the great work man. Also, on a side note, I think that Giorno Giovanna would have been a far more interesting charater if Hirohiko Araki hadn't been pressured by his editor into changing it. Can you imagine the daughter of Dio as a protagonist, especially with Golden Experience's power to give life rather than stealing it like Dio?! That would have been a far more interesting character both writing wise and thematically in my opinion.
As Araki never gave up on his dreams of being a manga artist I hope you never give up on video creation, kept me engaged the entire time and your speaking voice is fantastic! Great video
Thank You! I really appreciate the motivation 🙏 I’m glad you enjoyed the video. Iv decided to put everything I have into making videos and hope to keep improving every video.

As always, a nice and investable collection of stories about the author, but I was surprised there weren't actual images of his earliest released art in the beginning of the video, let alone the first chapters of Jojo. Instead it was all more-recent stuff until around 7:50. As an artist, I find it very improtant that casual viewers understand how something actually looked when it was growing. Not to nitpick; it's just not showing what the people were actually seeing at the time. Like seeing modern-day New York City, when talking about its state 100 years ago. Thank you for your Oda video btw!
his favorite animated movie is Shrek btw, which lead to the bohemian rhapsody arc in stone ocean (just before, the movie "memento" released to japan's cinemas the month before he did jailhouse lock - the same applies to shrek & br)
JJBA is the only series that I've seen where the protagonist outsmarts the antagonist after the antagonist consistently outsmarts them, only for the antagonist to once again outsmart the protagonist, which is followed by the protagonist outsmarting the outsmartening.
You have helped me so much on my research journey into what makes a good story a good story by you diving into the minds of these truly legendary creators. Hope to see you become the face of RUclips anime.🔥
I’m glad to hear that! I find their journeys interesting and inspiring, so I’m glad there is other people that think so too. and Thank you for the support and good luck on your own adventure 🙏
I'm hoping to forge Reimi's Bizarre Adv: Pink Justice into the best Jojo fanfic on Wattpad & maybe get some kind of anime adaptation in the future. It's a fun retelling of the years before, during & after Stardust Crusaders. Imagine if a story somehow found a way for Reimi Sugimoto, Hol Horse, Sherry Polnareff, Lisa Lisa, & old Von Stroheim to join the Crusaders by the battle of Egypt.
the older I get... The closer I see how I came to be. You all could be something special too, it just takes passion. Wish I didnt care what others thought about me in construction. The gameboys and stuff was cope, why would u make fun of a guy using his break to play a game...
Jojo's is a trip, it certainly is one of the most unique series you can ever watch or read. And it along with some other manga did pave the way for more freedom in modern anime and manga. Now Jojo's has everything you can think of in it, emotional highs and lows, cool action, mystery, comedy, it's the entire theme park and more. Doesn't mean it's flawless, nothing ever is, one of the biggest criticisms I have with the series is the shift from one power system to another, this isn't to say the shift is bad, stands are a very good power system, they are more unique and add an additional aspect to character design that hamon didn't have, though it's not to say hamon couldn't be used in weird or unique ways, it definitely could, you can see that in Jojo's part 2. However shifting the main power system of your story later on is a very bold move, and generally speaking is bad writing. Even if it works out for the better, the change itself goes against good writing principles. What are these principles that I'm referring to, well it'd be the principle that what you write should be consistent to the way your world works. The simple fact that two power systems exist that are in the same world with not much overlap between them makes things tricky. Let's look at hamon first, hamon, being breathing techniques and trying to channel life and the power of the sun through you to then fight against things like vampires, other hamon users, ancients, or just bad or annoying people, as well as the use of hamon extending your life beyond the average person's lifespan. And that not only is there whole orders dedicated to practicing and using hamon, but also that it's alluded to that other vampires can pop up on occasion. Makes the fact that we go from interacting with hamon users regularly to the only hamon user being Joseph that we ever see use hamon, and he only does it a few times in Part 3, despite the fact we're dealing with Dio and his followers (who are sometimes vampire ghoul familiars). And when stands are introduced they're introduced as something that few people have but that it's been a thing people have had for awhile. Which then begs the question of where these stand users were during some of the big events happening in previous parts (the obvious meta reason is, they didn't exist, but that's why it's something that goes against good writing principles). Beyond that we're told that should a hamon user gain a stand, the stand will always be hermit purple, and thus not really like most other stands later on, and isn't really a strong stand ability. Also what if a stand user starts to train in hamon, will their stand automatically turn into hermit purple instead. Now granted the ways of solving this aren't easy. The easiest way in hindsight is also the worst way in the long term, especially in regards to when it was introduced in Part 3. If they made stands an extension of hamon then it'd not cause a meta story telling issue on the "where has it been?" front, to as big an issue as it was written. However if they did that, then every stand user is a hamon master and then we need to explain how Dio gets a stand and have it make sense. They could still go with, Jonathon's body helps to give him it, this would also still let Joseph get a stand, but Jotaro's backstory would need to be changed to make him someone who inherited hamon in the same way Joseph did, and that he needs to practice it and be possibly either talented at it, or the story pacing would have to include his slow rise to power. But back to Dio, this then begs the question of if he'd be affected by hamon anymore if he gains a stand via Jonathon's body, or if the sun would work on him either. It'd need to be explained in some manner and there's almost no manner which perfectly resolves the issue. Not having stands tied to hamon once again brings up the question where were the stand users before, but if the other solution was that it was only an ability recently discovered by some people of the world due to an ancient artifact from an ancient civilization. It still has the issue of, where did all the hamon users go after part 2 ended? And would once again beg the question of, if a person granted stand powers first started training in hamon, what would happen to their stand? I don't think there's really any right way one could fix this in post. And this remains one of the only real instances of something from Jojo's being truly a bad thing from a writing standpoint. But even despite that issue, Jojo's has grown massively popular, and stands are iconic to the series in a way hamon never was. This is merely my essay long comment discussing what I believe is the only major issue I have with Jojo's when I watched it. I do at times miss hamon, if only because I think it had potential in other ways that could've complimented or worked against stands. Even though I think on the whole the stands taking center stage makes sense, but having the occasional hamon user around as a side character or antagonist would be interesting.
MANGOS, tHAMn my first video here, but man, did it help me so much. Awsome work and perfect lenght, while not digging deaper into the whole series and everything around him :D
Bro just checked this after the new OP video.. What's happening why does this guy doesn't even have 1k+ views like come on this is some goated content + videos like these takes alot of effort.. Sheesh
Ok dawg!! So you wanna make anime documentaries? Make one on how and why solo leveling got adapted into an anime and the general isekai genre as a whole. I really want a documentary on isekai anime because I don’t understand why isekai sucks yet it’s popular and at times good.
Man....go get lots and lots of more subscribers cause you deserve it!!
Crazy how Jojo first came out 35+ years ago and Araki is still going strong🐐
