The fact that all that dubstep stuff isn’t a keyboard, that all this was layered with musicians playing the actual instruments, and not a synth, is incredible.
Chris "One take" Wolstenholme.
I can't believe so many people bitched about this album. Yes, it's different, but it's also absolutely fantastic.
Perkūnas pahahahah XD nah I loved this shit and that’s not being a white knight just opinion. And Ik its 4yrs later but who gives a fuckity fuck
Agree
Bitches be bitchin. Its a fantastic album in its own right and still going strong. I saw isolated system played live 2 weeks ago and even that was absolutely epic
that's how muse fans operate... they first hate the album, then that album becomes classic in 4-5 years and everybody loves it. I remember when resistance came out in 2009, fans were livid, they hated the whole album, now every time they play any of the songs from the album live, people lose their shit... Muse are constantly ahead of their time, people understand their music after some time passes... I see it happening every time a new album comes out (been a dedicated fan since Absolution...)
@@EvilStudios i think you are spot on there
This video has made me appreciate the songs even more.
Me too
simon40sp o no
+simon40sp Me too!
+simon40sp same
Catch then the making of Absolution & The Resistance ;)

Dom: *in the middle of drumming*
Matt: *Interrupts* Do you feel weird and alone in there?
Dom: No you shit
Matt: *mutters something*
Dom: come on matt let's just get the fuck on with it
matt: what
Dom: let's just- i'm not weird, let's just carry on
Chris: *laughing*
Matt: Do you want chris to come in or anything like that?
dom is always so done with matt lmao
imagine Chris just sitting in the corner of the recording booth just for the purpose of being there with Dom
***** they're best friends! but tbh i think everyone would be tired when having to deal with matt every day he's a handful like there was this interview where matt said he made dom so mad while recording this dom threw his drum sticks at the recording booth and stormed out lmao
I wonder why he said "I'm not weird". How is it weird? :D
+May04bwu I think it might be a British saying, like "I'm not being weird/acting funny"
xX_Gabe_Xx like he is at 1:25 just drumming air lol
So many talented people in one room
You mean the trumpetist?
+Sana Müller are you kidding?
+Natalia Aguirre Yup
Jokes aside the vocal parts were awesome. Even prior to watching this you can tell they put a lot of work into the many layers of it all
Marlon Piazza yes sure. very very.. talented!
21:15
'hold on. wot are you doing now'
'just changing everything'
I tot matt would get angry 😅
@@enigat3799
He trusts him.
7:33 Matt just laughing like a mad genius lol
Bruh chill
and 23:59 haha
Ngl this made my day xD
He IS a mad genius
Matt's hysterical laugh is mental.
32:56 Damn even matt's hum sounds angelic
lol Matt not understanding his own handwriting.
Which oart ?
@@enigat3799 37:37
It bothers me that they never show Matt record the vocals.. I want to see the magic happen.
He gets shy and nervous if hes being recorded doing the vovcals in the studio imagine how shy he gets when hes there singing on stage when cameras are there filming
@@vibecheck4581 He's going beyond his limitations and fears. That just some balls right there. To be shy, and yet, rock the f' out of stadiums and venues.
@@vibecheck4581 i think it's harder to record perfect voice line while being recorderd, than "just" sing on stage and being recorded
@@vibecheck4581 adrenaline kicks in and everything flows steady. No thoughts.
That’s definitely every Muse fans wish! Just to see this mans beautiful vocal talent go through the marathon of recording vocals!
Matt's laugh when he listened to the survival chorus is just like: yeahhhh this is fucking amazing!
My top 5 reasons why "The 2nd Law" is an amazing album!
5. Chris is the singers of two very good songs (Save me + Liquid State)
4. Supremacy, the James Bond song from Muse
3. "Unsustainable" and "Isolated System" are an excellent ending for the album
2. It's different compared to the others, that's why I like it so much
1. EVERY SINGLE SONG IS A MASTERPIECE!
23:50 I don’t know what he’s doing, but it’s precious 😂
when matt works with dom it is always chaotic. but when matt is with chris, it's very peaceful 😂
Lol 6:28 How kind of you Matt to let them breath 🤣
Jonanice “yeah they can breath” 😂
Imagine them taking a choir and orchestra and those funk-trompet players with them on tour, doing all those parts live, that would be insanely awesome yet logistically impossible.
I would say logistically impossible it just would cost a whole lot and then you have to worry about acoustics and a whole bunch of other stuff.
They do have an orchestra live
Is it impossible now?
Yes especially the funk-trompet players that would be the best part
Shit I went fanboy again :/
Same
No regrets. :D
Muhammad Aulia Firmansyah (o_
+Popescu Kevin well done! :)
One more O_O
7:29 I just came here to hear Matt laughing hysterically to the choir singing 😂
i love how effortlessly dom drums
Ok so I watched this approximately 10 times. Why? Because it illustrates the genius of Muse
23:15 hahaha the best moment
he tryna catch the wee wee boo 😆
Everytime I see these videos, I kinda start crying. Muses music just makes me cry, but because I feel good, I don't know why, their music has been with me since I was very Young, and just… I just cannot explain it, I just love it.
I think all Musers can understand that their music hits you in ways you can't explain to anyone else.
Es bedarf keiner Erklärung! Ich verstehe genau wieso man Muse Musik liebt. Und jeder der es nicht liebt ist eben im musikalischen Horizont sehr eingeschränkt😇
7:00 Dom is a drum robot, his timing on those drum fills is insane!!!
36:00
@@davidhitsdrums I Love Big Freeze
16:37 every drummer can relate to all of your friends tapping their foots on the bars and you tapping your feet to the kick
Matt is a true musical genius, that's so rare. And his laugh is amazing.
👏👍🙏💖🎸🎶🎵🎼
All these years later and 14:47 is still the most relatable band moment I've ever seen in a recording studio. (I'm also a drummer that gets bullied... COME ON MATT - LET'S GET THE FUCK ON WITH IT) ;)
36:18 The sound of that snare :O
Dom and Matt bickering with each other gives me life
"Do you feel weird and alone in there? Feel isolated?"
Matt throwing snacks at Dom
Dom trying to stab Matt with the drum stick
StandByYoo where is the ‘do you feel isolated bit from?
@@georgiewhitehurst5636 14:51
Cheers man
@@georgiewhitehurst5636 This man is a woman, but you're welcome ;)
Laudine oops sorry 😂
Does anyone else get emotional when the credits come up after Isolated System? There's just something about the crescendo in the song combined with the ending of the video journey that gets me every time..
24:15 I love It! The Chemistry.
Supremacy 0:20
Panic Station 2:50
Survival 5:55
Animals 12:20
Madness 32:32
I think T2L is one of their best record.
+Nick Valensi I think the same!
+Nick Valensi Hmm, i disagree but i do think its a much better album than most people say. Have you heard their older stuff?
+Meme Master Off course I heard their all albums. I've been fan of them since their debut.
This is such a vastly underrated album.
17:58 i wish I could have heard that laugh
1:58 Screams the Supremacy thing with Matt...
Is it just me, or is Matt actually really good looking in black and white?
Totally agree :D But in Making of: The Globalist he's almost always presented in b/w or grey tones.
It aint just black and white. And i dont lean that way
He's good looking in everything, that's Matt Bellamy ♥
Masterpiece album. So grateful to peak behind the scenes
I DIDNT KNOW THE BASS NOTES ON THE PIANO FOR ANIMALS! THANK GOD FOR THE VIDEO!
Truly great musicians. They are such an amazing and innovative band. Amazing. Just amazing.
i really loved the minute 16:51 math making music
Me too, he is awesome!
4:06 i never really paid attention to that bit during the song, now it's my favourite part.. it's so catchy lol
Alina W same 😂
Was always my favourite part, it absolutely slaps
In the actual song it's around 1:16 iirc
I love them, they're the most amazing band in the whole entire world, I can't even describe how I felt when I had the chance to listen to citizen erased and map of the problematique live...
MedusaMel Ay, Citizen Erased is the shit.
Musical masterpiece. The skill is breathtaking to behold.
29:06 - 30:26 Is among the most beautiful things I've ever heard.
Someone's gotta hand it to the orchestras. Way too underrated.
I agree 100% and have since I heard this making of. It sucks they sped up the pacing of the song and this bit is completely different at like double the speed.
gives me the chills every time.
It this song was even released!?
It is "Isolated Systems"
Its really good to consistently hear quality songs from a specific band but its something else when you like the people playing the instruments
They really are cool decent people arent they. They dont act like rockstars (off stage)
I thought the dubstep part in unsustainable was made with a dj set or something like that... instead it's a fuckin guitar! i loved it before, now it's my favourite song i guess
actually DJ's make much of their songs on a computer. If you were more into Dubstep/Eletronic Music you would definitly see that it was made on a guitar
Distance uses a guitar riff for some of his bass parts haha! i saw them play unsustainable the other day and it was unbelievable
I love The 2nd Law from beginning to end.
Gi joey I think their’s not even one song from Muse that I don’t like, they’re just incredibly awesome
1:52: angelical chorus sounds
1:55 chicken screaming while being murdered enters
the best band in the world MUSE
10:08 brilliant
That must've been an expensive recording process.
I think it gets cheaper for them every time (as they are so famous now) but also more expensive, as they are using more people...
we we we boo
Seeing matt and Chris working together, piano and bass, on explorers is a thing of beauty
Art in every song. Matt is a genious. Muse is simply amaziiiiing!!
1:55 being able to alternate between your calm speaking voice and outburst like that must feel good
they're absolutely one of the best bands in the entire world, this is real music!
So many hilarious moments. Those girls going for the octave up was proper funny, amazing how high they can get
16:49
I absolutely adore matt being so damn casual, borderline bored while delivering a blazing hot solo ending woth harmonics so clean even chris breaks
As you can see, all these people worked together, under the influence of only one, very powerful MUSE
1:57 and 2:04 may just be the most amazing noises I've heard for a while
24:31
*Top 10 Anime Fights*
29:09 should have been released as it's own track!
That Panic Station pun xD
That moment when Matt hysterical laugh 24:00. I played it on repeat like thousand times
26:58 WHAT DA HELL
Josiashv95 but if you think about it...should he be wearing anything else?
Josiashv95 I love it!!! haha
+Josiashv95 Is for the acoustic of the room :V
Something they picked up in Japan??
Rocking readings a god among mortals
Probably the best more mainstream bands :D
12:18
Now I need making of WOTP album especially Won’t stand down and Compliance
7:27 and 24:00, I love Matt's laugh! hahaha
i used to watch this CONSTANTLY on my ipod as a kid. man do i love muse
26:58 What was that?! )))))) Dom is amazing!
A TOTALLY "MONSTER" milestone band+music, and a massive talent in this trio, for damn sure...!!!I've been a 100% dedicated fan, ever since a heard them on MTV, long time ago...just as "Origin of symmetry came out!!I were enslaved at once, and this day i have all there albums!!Just need to see them live, before i get old and die!!! :-)
Never pictured Matt as an all single coil Stratocaster guy. Whaddya know :). Shows you really can get any sound of of anything with the right playing and the right setup.
7:30 EPIC LAUGH!
Yes, it is. He must know that the chorus of Survival (and the song itself) is very epic
isolated system is very underrated and maybe underappreciated as well. gave me exogenesis again..
The base was so low it broke my head phones ! 😨
6:22 "if they're gonna breath, that's the place to do it" Emphasis on IF 😆
Absolutely fantastic! Such a great insight into an awesome band. In my opinion, Matt Bellamy is one of the most underrated "true musicians" of this generation... he is a genius... watching him play all those instruments and sing... and know exactly how he wants everything to sound... He's The Man!! Rock on MUSE!!!
oh the moment when they were creating madness made me really emotional. fangirling agaaainn
Wow it's amazing seeing all of the detail that is going into these tracks! I really didn't realise that there was this much intricacy
Thanks once aganin. I have always like muse, since late 2020 became an important part of my life that helped with their music and with them. But see them work make me respect them also; the work and dedication. And also so humblen when they congratulate with the choir, I wish this years they make new music
Muses music always make me very happy. I saw them live twice in 2019. I'm looking forward to seeing them again as soon as they play again :)
i love seeing behind the scene stuff it's such an amazing insight to the art ahhhhh no words
I've watched this vid so many times and always left during the credits and never realized madness was at the end. GG.
I feel the rhythm and powerful stroke of life when I hear MUSE’s music
If I was really pushed to pick a fav muse album I think it would be 2nd Law, though I still listen to every album regularly. These guys are soooo talented, and they make crazy good music because they love and trust each other and allow themselves to be unrestrained by convention. Plus Matt is a very astute commentator of the 'human condition'. Let's hope there are still more albums to come!
Well, good to know how hard it is to make such amazing music...
*jazzhands away to the corner of "I will never be this great"*
drums sounds fucking perfect in this recording!!!
the choir parts are fantastic
Bahahaha, Matt asking the sopranos to go an octave higher on Survival and then immediately backpedaling is the funniest shit ever.
Also, the trumpet on Supremacy is tight as fuck
1:59 i know matthew. we all know.
+ThePunkPhantom ahahahahahahaha
Some stuff on RUclips is just crap to numb your brain, and I'm not denying that I do watch videos about gaming and that kind of thing. But this man. This is an inspiring video. Makes you want to go and just play music. Makes you appreciate the work that went into these songs. Such an underrated album.
Ooooh 9:23 with that lovely baritone voice always gives me chills haha
- 1:56 epic supremacy scream
- Matt: I’m actually quite comfortable with that
There’s 3 songs after the end credits on this edition. Very cool. Thanks!
I listened to the album for the first time two days ago and enjoyed it very much. I have listened to it three more times since then and after watching this video, I am in awe of the professionalism behind it all. Well done!
matt talks so fast :D cant keep up yo
***** :P thats his motto
I speak the same speed... We are soul mates! Lol
wispina same here hahaha
FesojNagod mal re rapidin habla
Gwn Iemand Probably :p
i love this album
Discovered this video in 2020, must've been 8 years late to the party. I have been a fan of Muse's older materials, but this album is pure genius. Can't stop listening to Animals & Unsustainable.
Matt humming on madness actually made me cry abit lmao
