It's kind of ironic how Matt having one of the most amazing voices ever didn't want to sing at first.
+lavenzaa Apparently his voice wasn't the gem it is today, and you can definitely hear that on Showbiz, his singing is good, but he's much better on OOS onward
Kris Yeah, he had laryngitis in 2012 and hasn't been the same since. And you're not a minority, lots of people notice but are too busy kissing Matt's ass to say anything XD
Kris I think, and I hate to say this, but it's possible the whole band could be run into the ground not long from now because of Matt's voice and just the fact that their most recent albums have been called their worst.

The laryngitis was in 2014 (see Lollapalooza Festival 2014), which explains why his voice was phenomenal at War Child while sounding slightly strained as of late. I believe he received some serious professional training before T2L, and it clearly paid off. It's a shame that he got laryngitis, but I think his voice has held up quite well given what it went through. I'll gladly take a slightly lower chest voice range and scratchy falsetto over him not being able to sing at all!

I love the way Matt isn't afraid of showing his boredom so strongly, you know, at first he is like half-happy and half-let's get this over, and then as the interview goes on, he's getting more and more bored and he just can't stand still without doing anything, that's why he usually interrupts the others, either Dom or Chris and always wants to tide up the pillows or the sofa or his clothes and always looking around searching for new things to watch

( like actors, do) it's not just the performing it's the interviews, promotions, etc, etc, etc 😴😴😴😴. so glad I'm not famous couldn't cope with all of this stuff, I don't know how they do it.

Yes, Hello to Muse. Girl Friday commenting for Fish and myself (Girl Friday). We have just begun to familiarize ourselves with Muse. I love how your music is reawakening the desire to once again create the music that playfully torments one hell of a song writer that hears a song with all it's components in his head then goes about hammering it out with the instrument's that will create what he is hearing. Many have been inspiring, some have had an influence but your uniqueness has touched him in a way I have not yet seen. Having been each others everything for almost 20 years, I still eagerly anticipate the impact that this humble talented individual will make when at last others will have a chance to experience the fullness of one's artistic ability that will simply not conform to the mold of the industry. Congratulations on a job well done in your continuing success. The humbleness that you portray as well as the lightheartedness that keeps you from taking yourselves too seriously has turned your passion of thinking outside the box into countless blessings both to yourselves and your fans alike. Anyone get this recommended post-Simulation Theory? :) I'd never come across this video before. It's funny how every time a new MUSE album comes out there's the expected "What the fuck?" reaction to at least a few songs. I recall the fanbase feeling that more than ever when T2L came out but now that it's been several years, the album feels like classic, essential MUSE... Here's hoping they revive Panic Station for the new tour.
