Muse i love you guys
You are incredible, love the new album
I love the new album!
You guys are the best rock band ever
What is up my Muse men
Shh!.... A rare Wolstenholme appears!
I like his shyness. Adds allure. Reminds me of Neil Peart from RUSH. He RARELY appeared in public, but played to 50,000 every night. You can see that he’s nervous. Constantly shaking his feet and chewing that gum like it’s a steak. Being in that weird, crowded, tiny room didn’t help him any.
He barley is in interviews
@@Rx_Vitamin_R Could not describe it better myself
Great comparison with Rush. The song Limelight describes this very well.
what Matt said about fans always hating their new stuff at first is SO true. I've been listening to their music for almost 14 years and I remember this happening. Great interview.
They really are ahead of most musicians, like yeah loads of bands do similar stuff but there is just something so brand new about them every time 👌
He is so right people hate it at first but then eventually like it. The songs grow on me too.
@@lordskeleton3928 yep why I like muse they're always different (in my opinion ahead of every other band/artist)
@@toki8361 true your right, constantly changing their style and pushing themselves, they always blow my mind just how good they are too like I genuinely can't think of one song that I would not listen to because each one is so different.
@@lordskeleton3928 yet they have stayed true to themselves and haven't changed just because "that's what you're supposed to do". I respect that more than anything.
In today's media it's really rare to find such a deep, professional interview.
It irritates me that we see Chris so rarely because everytime he's in an interview he's so nice, funny and interesting
OoO yeah everytime i’m suprised to remember that he actually handles interviews very well
he wouldn't be a bassist if he talked in every interview
Eh, he has a pretty huge family. I can understand him needing a break some of the time
I like your blackstar. 💙
Ima press like and reply agreed
This band are such good friends, i wish i had friends.
tensago Go start a band🎸🎸👍
Long dstance mate here bro ✊😀

this was such a good interview, matt calling it "pwopaganda" lol, this is the best thing ever jalsd

But the question is, is the first line of "Pwopaganda". Is the line Floozy?
Doctor Cammy It is indeed, check the lyric video that they released!

Dom has such a weirdly beautiful and calming voice
Holy sht, 1 hour long nice. Very good interviewer, he got some good stuff out of them.
They should just do an entire classical style album like exogenesis. Will never happen but it would be amazing.
Kris I would give my left kidney for that! I loved the exogenesis symphonies so much. Wish they could do more
Well they may do it, every album is different, but already resistance was string based so idk...they may do a symphonic full on album
Its so cool hearing how they all think about the construction of these albums and songs, Matt really does come across as a mad genius whose mind just whirrs away an he blurts rapidly, while Chris and Dom are like " bro chill just tell us slowly wtf are we doing".
Such a talented 3 piece, I love these guys, also the interviewer is fantastic he does a brilliant job 👏😀
John: Do you discuss that with Chris and Dom?
Dom: Well, yeah, I mean, the title...
Audience: (Laughs hysterically)
...
Dom: Dunno what's funny about that

43:58 is where they talk about individual songs. You’re welcome!
28:50 - 30:00
This man is not just a great musician but a humble and intelligent human being.
They are literally my life.
Bradley Lloyd Same 😊
Nice seeing chris there
"Undisclosed Desires, what album was that on ?" Matt still doesn't know on which album are his songs. I hope he remembers Soldier's Poem is on Absolution now ! /joke
In bbc radio 1, there's 84 songs from their studio albums released and Matt & Dom didn't even remember half of them
Soldiers poem is on black holes and revelations. Not absolution dude. Apoligies if you were being ironic
@@leonhughes9901 That's what the "/joke" meant ;)

I would really really love to see Muse do a show with Hans Zimmer. That would be a whole new level of epic!
Aaron Moen I agree
Hans Zimmer Algorithm remix, make it happen
Sam Williams The alternate reality version is what you would get if that happened. Cant make it any more epic. Adding more strings to The Void however, could be interesting
Aaron Moen
Very true, the alternative version was what made me think of it
Imagine "time"... with a muse twist. With synths, guitars, base and drums. With the violins. Wow
Someone give this interviewer a knighthood, this is brilliant!
A Knight of Cydonia, perhaps?
Muse have probabaly been the best band of the last 20 years
Metallica exists
@@playstrombacka6320 Metallica has been around for more time. These guys are perhaps my favourite of their generation.
Chris is in a Muse interview??? Is this a simulation :O
Look up Simulation Theory, Neil De Grass Tyson. This is not something that Muse are just talking about.. The physicist that are on the forefront in the science world are seriously considering this theory as our most likely theory for our existences here in this world.
Plot Twist: Chris is CGI in the interview and wasn't actually there
Yes
I like how everyones hands are shaking when they ask questions lol, I would be shitting bricks if I had the chance to do that
I love that they are talking about the olden days and the lighting makes Matt's hair look blue. Nostalgia overload!
I noticed that too.
Blissful
I actualyy clicked the video cause i thought it was a 2000's interview bc of that lol
Muse + Hans Zimmer = 😍
Make this happen!
SO TRUE OMG
Your wish has been granted
Muscle museum is awesome.
What does Matt say at 46:03? Pants?!
@@LamanodeManolo lol 😂
Me agree
How could ANYONE hate on Stockholm Syndrome? I discovered muse around the time Absolution was released and to this day is my favorite song ever. Just goes to show people love to hate stuff, just for the sake of it...
Yeah I never heard any metal song like it. There is just this climatic and tense feel to it that gives it a lot of gravity.
That riff melts their fragile brains thats why they hate
The part where Bellamy says "Pwopaganda": 13:56
You're welcome
Thanks! This is a very important time-code.
The stroke of genius 😂
Cheers, Mate. 😂👏
FUNNY M8!!!😂😂😂😂
The interviewer asked exactly the questions that I would ask. Great job!!
They seem happy to be together making music and that makes me love them more 💜

This is probably just me being biased as a fan, because this is my favorite Muse song, but one of their most iconic songs to me is "Sunburn". That song, in a way, was like a blueprint for what they would they would do with their music all the way up to The Resistance. I know it wasn't this revolutionary song in regards to their discography, as songs like "Showbiz" and "Muscle Museum" are more beloved by most fans, but it gave the world a small taste of future Muse songs that were classical, piano-based, epic, and bombastic, like "Space Dementia", "Butterflies & Hurricanes", and the "Exogenesis" trilogy. "Sunburn" is even different musically from the other 11 songs on Showbiz. It was the great indicator of things to come, in my opinion. That makes it, in a way, iconic for the band. Just some food for thought... There's a reason Muse has played "Sunburn" live on every single one of their tours since 1999! 😋
Hmm agree with you but i never heard sunburn live and i ve seen 7 times after tonight
Showbiz, the chorus of Muscle Museum and Sunburn definitely laid the groundwork for their future sound
'We try to squeeze as much as we can in two hours' I love hearing them talk about how much they enjoy touring n have so much fun recording. There isn't many artists like em

Matt : « I have got a sort of speech impediment when I put P and the R together, it comes like a PWAPWAPWA »

Best and most prepared, in depth, with great questions interview, probably ever. What a great interviewer, would love to do such a great job myself. Bravo! ;)
Awww Matt talking about his studio. Hope it survived the fires 😞😞
Luna Erased his studio is a bus because I think he might have lost his last studio in his recent divorce. Who knows?
Michael yes! And that bus was in his house in Malibu that was surrounded by the fire a few days ago 🙁
@@lvmike424 not really the point
Michael Matt never got married
Aaron Moen are you stupid? Most Muse fans should know that Matt was married to Kate Hudson.

Dom: it's normal...

I could listen to Dom talk all day
One of the best interviews I have ever seen around here. Thank you!
Had such a great time. I am the girl in the yellow sweater right at the front on the right hand side! Thank you Muse and Radio X for literally, the best day ever!!
Your lucky
Woah!
I think the important thing for me is that when I first heard muse i wanted to learn it on guitar straight away ....even with this album I still think wow I have to learn how to play this
Same for me.
same for me, with keyboards/piano ... totally agree
I think alot of muse fans play instruments , and appreciate the absolute art they produce.
The man chris! And in an hour long interview nice, usually very rare to see
GIF Matt laughing in 6:20 in 3, 2, 1...
So funny Matt talking about pwoper. There are so many memes from this.
This interview right here is fantastic! It's great to listen to my favorite band like this. It reinforced my connection with Muse.
I just love all muse music . The new album is brilliant . My tastes change over the years so much but I always love muse . Timeless .
Some new songs you have to listen to a couple of times to get it and all the music gets better and even better the more you listen to it . The lyrics are just as good as the music and I really hope people get what they are singing about. Some music you just know is the wrong frequency for you brain and is no good for you and then you listen to muse and it puts it all right again. They are definitely in a magical musical genius lane of their own and the music and words affect people like no other especially me
People who don't like it are just stupid
People probably don’t like it because of the sound or the lyrics. I love the lyrics, but I’m not 100% sure if matt intended it to sound more libertarian or just dystopian in general
look how close Matt and Dom are sat together. so cute.
I noticed it too, they are always stick to the hip these two haha
Real belldom 😘
so true. so many spaces between dom and chris 😂
This interviewer earned my subscribe. Amazing.
Now this guy knows how to interview a band, excellent questions, nice work.
Favourite band since I was 10, one of my greatest passions as a teen, still massively obsessed with these three genius minds and their sound. Looking forward to world tours in years to come where they begin to experiment heavily with live shows in the form of acoustics, orchestrial, medleys, etc. As much as I love new songs, I want then to eventually recognize the mammoth body of work they have created and to feel comfortable enough to go back and genuinely revisit.

This is one of the last real bands on earth. Absolute musicians who are also humble and open to the people.
Great interview! Interviewer really knew his stuff. We need to get Chris to talk a little more though!

Yes! Someone who asks the right questions. I love hearing about the writing process & band dynamic
Best band ever I think, they are easily my favourite band, the way they play their instruments is unbelievable, I believe that they are classically trained.
Thank you, the greatest interviewer ever. Just like sitting down with them discussing their life. Really liked it
