How refreshing to watch a band unafraid to cross genres, styles, and be, dare I say it..... creative. I've never particularly listened to MUSE until this, but now I'm interested enough to listen to more.
Jose Antonio Ruiz Machicao perfect. Have you seen the video of him laughing at the fallen crowd surfer, and then directing the crowd to bring him back up?
Seeing how the unsustainable orchestral section sounded without the other parts of the song really makes me wonder how muse hasn’t been hired to compose a movie soundtrack yet
Well, it confirms what Adrian Bushby (Muse engineer) said in an interview that Chris really knows what to do with his thing, he's so tight and sounds so good. Every take he does is practically the master takes. If there's a redone, it's probably because he wants to hone in certain bits. He knows well what to be kept and what to be thrown out. Adrian said the three of them really click well to each other in the studio and that's what makes who they're today as Muse.
People who complain about muse's melodramatic lyrics should be shown 7:23 hahahaha. I thought I liked them but now I have no choice but to love them after watching this.
The section that starts at 7:00 is just pure awesome... the sheer ammount of time & effort, that is then compiled into only a few seconds of music (the part with the choir voices). They could have easily used synth voice samples instead, which would only take a few hours of programming. Instead they decide to use live voices etc.... very cool
I love how Muse writes all these serious songs about world domination, and corruption, and then we see Matt in the Studio rocking out to his own song. XD

Still love Survival. Musically, it's a powerhouse and so very epic - especially with the overtones of the Olympics now. Vocally, now that I fully understand what the backup chorus is saying here, I'm not sure how I feel about it, lol. Not sure if it hurts the epic-ness or adds a sinister undertone to it. Ahh, the beauty of [truly-thought-out] music ;)
