Needless to say we are pretty happy to see this video get made. HUGE thanks to Lamb Chop Rides for making the effort to put this video out and Dynojet UK for providing the profesional dyno services. Bravo. Ironically, not only an hour ago we also ran into Chris Fillmore mountain biking in the local hills. (An animal on a Super Duke and only the world record holder at Pike's Peak using this exact same setup with the Rottweiler Intake and PCV) Seems like the Orange Gods are smiling upon us today.
Excellent video, very interesting and very impressive results, especially low down the rpm. Can’t wait to hear how she feels now. Respect to the engineers, they know their stuff.
Very nice work by Dynojet uk and you too Sir Chops! A nice combined result that has transformed the bike into a much smoother and harder delivery of power, which is great considering it was already modified, lovely! Looking forward to the next instalment :)
It seems only yesterday that my brand new Ducati 996 SPS was dynoed at 111 at the rear wheel, and I was impressed with that (full termignoni system as well), My Superduke is all I need now aged 60........
Whoah! Chops nice gains there. Great vid and well done to the guys at Dynojet for being so professional and answering your questions so calmly!! Only problem is the wait to see it in action again! Bloody winter.........
+mac46rr thanks Mac, yeah I'm tempted to take it out for a test now before other mods go on.. but salt everywhere on the roads.. may go for a quick spin when it properly drys out as can't wait to try it!! 😎
Cracking power really wish I could of come to watch . Must get you back up here for a ride with either beasty or the ktm I'm sure Randy would join us too
More an advocate of ecu flashing here....an ecu flash will give more control (and better results) although as you said you already had a "kind of a flash" as it were. A power commander will not allow a flapper valve motor to be removed, it doesnt have injector control either as such and if im not mistaken you get no control over engine braking either but i might be wrong on that one. The power commander guys do say "well it can all be removed if your selling the bike" but, id rather sell mine and say, "its been professionally mapped and the air fuel is bang on, mpg is good and pulls like a train" rather than "its back to stock so underpowered with a choppy throttle!"....nice vid all the same....nothing like seeing bikes getting caned on the dyno!
Yeah - just an observation....ive bought some bikes that have come with power commanders. Ive removed them and then got them mapped (and the ecu) written and its always been better, plus i sell the power commander to fund the mapping time on the dyno. Having said that - is the ecu on the SDR flashable...some arent so a power commander is the only way to go. The only downside is that if you do sell the bike then it has to go with that engine setup other wise the flashed ecu wont work as the config has changed.
If you want to spend the money for (just) a 2 / 3 % increase its fine. But the air is cleaner. Less dust. Maybe lower fuel usage. This is also just one of the few videos i found where they test before and after.
Just had mine done, K&N air filter, Bodis de-cat pipe and an Arrow end can got me 175 bhp at the wheel and 109 nm of torque. Mapping will get it over 180.
Very informative video. Like how we got to see the work being done and the testing handled in a professional manner unlike some dyno runs that are treated like some sort of circus event. Be careful on that bad boy!
Great upload. Would love to do this to my SDR but it will mean no track time 😞 Would be good to do a drag comparison against my 2017 to see the significant gains in action!
I’ve heard from other owners the full system is over 102 static with the baffle, but it does seem to vary. I pass Loomies regularly in the summer so I’ll goad you into a drag if I spot Bestie!
It will be interesting to see the results from noise testing. I’m kind of hoping it’s over 102 or it will cost me a couple of grand in the form of a full system 😉 My Akra Slip-on was 97 with the baffle out. My Daytona 675 was 104 with the bloody baffle in - a fist full of wadding did the trick but it was not ideal.
I saw what you did at 8:09 A bit of product placement. I am on to you! :P Nice video lambs. I love the nitty griddy things. I like this kind of content.
I too have a 2016 with the Stage V (airbox, PCV and Auto Tune) and Akrapovic EVO system. Have not had it on a dyno, but supposedly the Auto Tune is pretty much doing that for me. I do not have the ignition module. Bike runs great and is really, really fast.
Yes the autotune continually adjusts the mixture based on the atmospheric conditions. Well doesnt adjust it 100% think there are some protection parameters but no need for a custom map
Yeah they know their stuff, taken two of my bikes there now. They are the guys who sell the Dynos and teach shops how to use them. They also tune the BSB bikes at each round if they need it
Hey Mr Chops! Your videos made me envious ( in a good way ) and I went ahead and bought the 5 im kit. I bought a arrow decat link pipe. My question to you is....do you think that the extra horsepower the complete akrapovic system gives comes from the fact that there is no more catalyser? Or is it from the headers ? I have the akra slip on with an arrow decat link pipe but with the original headers. I also have pvc5 and ignition modul. I'm just trying to figure out if it's worth for me to pay the 2 grand exhaust line versus the 300$ arrow decat....thx 😬
Random question Lamb Chop, any idea how to get the small grommet from the front brake lever? I'm changing them but I see no way of getting it out! (1290 superduke r) Keep up the great vids mate. Always love them!!
Lamb Chop Rides Ha Ha, Ah bugger you’ve seen through my plan already!!! Definitely up for a good hooligan blast somewhere with you bud, let me know when you’re free 👍 You fancy doing the RBLR1000.co.uk with me this year? (June 16th)
+teapotone Hi Bruce, where are you based buddy? Just looked up the rblr1000 event looks interesting I could be tempted maybe even get womble on it too plus raise some money.. it's a two day event?
Lamb Chop Rides I’m over near Maidstone in Kent mate. Be great if you can join us, my mate and I are doing it and there seems to be a fair few from the TeapotOne Facebook page who are keen to start it with us too. You head up to Squires Cafe near Leeds on the Friday evening, camp there overnight and leave at 5am, do the 1,000 miles and you’re back there for about 8’ish that night. Beers, burgers, war stories then camp there again Sat night, ride home Sunday. It’s a great laugh bud, sure you’d love it - plus the roads on the North Clockwise route are fantastic, Beastie would devour them 😉👊✊✊✊😁👍
Very nice n very impressive numbers the power curve is really snooth, im struggling to have my diavel remapped as its a 17 plate it has a new ecu with euro 4 and is apparently locked according to ducati
in ducati they've changed the ecu on the diavel and its permanently locked so can't flash it or even change it with there factory termigoni exhaust upgrades :( I've debated changing the bike because of it but then i think am i just sulking and do i need more then 162 bhp (crank bhp) for my usage haha
But thats the full Akra EVO kit. This isn't the Original Cat you see. They just put 2 silencers on it. Otherwise, it would be way too loud for most race tracks.
Well done Mr chops, I have much the same setup minus the ignition module. I got 179hp and 109ft at the wheel, went the cheaper option with the arrow midpipe into akra slip on. went from 156hp to 179hp so very happy with that, if you own this bike do the rottweiler upgrade. Its how the bike was meant to be bought out! Keen for more vids on the duke! I really want to know about the oberon clutch slave if it made any difference, especially slipping wheelies in 4th at 100mph as mine feels like it slips a bit.
+Robby Stash Hi Robby, good arnt they@ I've been told to add the GT clutch springs as they are stiffer and stop slip.. not fitted yet but from what your saying I should probably get some!
Lamb Chop Rides have you got your quick shifter yet, I run the power commander one and it goes a treat, smooth but not quite on the level the new gixer is.
Lamb Chop Rides 4th gear proper wheelies and a 10.6 quarter mile, you will love it. Take it to the quarter mile is a buzz, front wheel coats about 2 foot until your halfway thru 4th gear.
Shit that mother is loud. What a difference that Rottweiler map makes with the ignition timing advanced more, that is a serious power gain Mr Chop. Have you any costs for the air box and Dynojets work. The bike is going to be great to ride and the noise will turn heads. Nice vid matey. Can we have some more please? Cheers👍🏻👍🏻🏍🏍
Not sure on exact prices Mike take a look at their sites I have linked them in the description. Its quite expensive when you add everything up though :-(
Thank you for the Video, i got 2017 SD GT, looking to do cat delete, and add hurricane evolution exhaust. In your experience - what other components would i need in order to have tge bike run healthy cat-less ?
I have the 2014 model with the full Akropovic system. How much per hp to add the air box + power commander. Also do think the auto shifter is useful on the street.
Main problem is not having a closed airbox. If you don't keep the filter clean more than regularly, oh get the bike really wet, you may be in for problems. I have a '17 1290 and TBH i don't think i will go for it, power is the least of SD problems. Money better spent on suspensions...
There may be more reasons than one why KTM doesn't install a similar intake such as the Rottweiler. In the USA, the EPA has a death grip on these designs. The Rottweiler might not pass emissions. The EPA is trying to pass laws to make it illegal to modify a street legal bike and make it a race bike for track use only. Luckily, at this point, it's not going to happen but it might happen soon. The EPA is shoving ethanol down our throats with no regards as to how ethanol affects so many small engines and other engines not designed to run reliably on ethanol. I wish we could bring back tar-and-feathering of politicians as was done in the early years of this country.
Sound is probably all the biggest reason they don't. Also, a properly designed airbox with functional ram air would make more power than an open one like the Rottweiler.
Hi Chops.. are you using maps for PCV from Rottweiler performance + Dynojet software for the Dyno test? I have a full akro with KTM maps, I am getting 161.5 whp and mechanic mentioned with PCV & Ignition module I will get 165 whp is that accurate
Chops you crack me up! "What? I can't hear You?"😂 That bike sounds absolutely fantastic. Rev bombs!!!! Please be careful tho bud. Bet that bike goes 0 to holy sh@t very quick! Roll on summer!!!! 🖒
haha thanks Craig, yeah looking forward to the first ride after all these mods. Just hoping it can pass track noise tests with the baffle in.. We will see as would love to do some track time on it this year
Hey Lamb Chop, nice job detailing your Dyno session, nice usable power gains were made for sure. I have a 2018 SDR with almost identical mods except I'm running two short 40 velocity stacks. I just installed the ignition module which I purchased through Rottweiler and they have have two timing maps less aggressive with advance from +1 to +4 and more aggressive with advance from +2 to +7 I loaded the less aggressive table till I can get the bike on my friends Dyno at SWR motors, who by the way builds the fastest GSXR 1000 motors in the US right now! Problem is it's winter in the Northeast of the US so I can't get there and he's incredibly busy from now until early summer building engines for 2020 dragracing season, so is there any way you could post up the ignition table for your session as I just want to see what the min and max amount of timing was added to make sure I'm in the safe zone till I can get the bike tuned. Thanks in advance....Gary
Awesome. I can’t belive it did 170 with akra only and std airbox 👍💪. I have almost same setup I’m thinking Rottweiler with akra map..Is that an option? Mr Lamb 😋
I bet you looked at their nice freshly painted floor thinking 'mmm ill have some of that' and why dyno it if their going to sort the suspension out ;) Just kidding chops. Great content as always !
I lamb shop ride .i want to no if i cant get the maping that you use cause i havé the same set up but i am from Canada montreal and no Budy are able tu set my bike here??? Dont run good
Nice vid as always! Really like your style. Even copied it a bit.. 701 check, icon helmet check, all your goodies that you had on the 701, almost check. Do you still own it?
Hi mate. I like your videos for honesty. Can I ask you a question about your KTM Super Duke? Do you have any issues with this bike? I'm asking because I want to buy one ( not sure what gen ) and my friend told me to be careful as KTM's are not very reliable bikes... What's your experience with this bike mate?
Hi matey, I've had three KTM and no issues with any of them! Can't comment on the new SD but my experience is that are fine 👍 Also Greg has new 890 R with 5k miles on and zero issues
I can comment on the new superduke evo r , it’s amazing, handles great and I’m 4000+ miles on and can not complain, and suuuuuper freaking fast, haven’t found a bike or car to keep up with me yet
@@thatonegreysupra Thanks mate. I bought this exactly model of KTM. So far I had an errors of the suspension which has appeared whe I accidently stalled my bike in the traffic - but the errors has gone after switching off the bike for an hour and turning it back. Nothing else has happened yet so looks promissing 😎👍🏻
Needless to say we are pretty happy to see this video get made. HUGE thanks to Lamb Chop Rides for making the effort to put this video out and Dynojet UK for providing the profesional dyno services. Bravo.

Excellent video, very interesting and very impressive results, especially low down the rpm. Can’t wait to hear how she feels now.
Respect to the engineers, they know their stuff.
That noise is phenomenal! Nice work chops!!
Wish you would stop interrupting them so we can hear what their saying
Very nice work by Dynojet uk and you too Sir Chops! A nice combined result that has transformed the bike into a much smoother and harder delivery of power, which is great considering it was already modified, lovely! Looking forward to the next instalment :)
+Sixth Gear Motorcycles thanks matey, yes it's impressive for a bike already modded like you say. Imagine going from stock to that would be mental 😂
Lamb Chop Rides Completely oriental 😂👍
I could feel that from Sussex. Fantastic work la Chopeletta.
That’s a fantastic tune by a bloke that knows his stuff! Great job!!!
Awesome gains! Love that you got to pick his brains whilst he was literally doing the tuning. 👍
Cracking day mate, thanks for having me along! We need to get a plan for summer :)
RandyDandy you know I'm really quiet jealous of you right now I was working that day as I've said on Insta lol
Keep going on the Mods! I love to see you push this Beast to the limit!
It seems only yesterday that my brand new Ducati 996 SPS was dynoed at 111 at the rear wheel, and I was impressed with that (full termignoni system as well), My Superduke is all I need now aged 60........
Ha Mark I beat ya! Bot a SD GT a couple weeks ago ... but my next birthday is 63. stay safe, Mark.
Hey Guys, one of the new ones for me 64 at the moment and still in full leathers 😉
Proper job! Lovely gains in the mid range.
cracking video, looking forward to your next one hopefully you riding that beast
you know its gonna be a real tyre shredder now chops, no matter what you put on it it will just eat them up in a heartbeat.
haha yeah true!! I better see if I can get Pirelli to keep me supplied with rubber throughout the whole year! :-)
You ought to volunteer for a Tyre testing program

Good job on the audio levels got the brutal without the tinitus
If you want to spend the money for (just) a 2 / 3 % increase its fine. But the air is cleaner. Less dust. Maybe lower fuel usage. This is also just one of the few videos i found where they test before and after.
Id galdly take tha 11 HP increase right in the mid-range where you ride it day to day. At that mid range--its over a 10% increase.
I Like it, I Like it a LOT. The Bike will get its speed on even faster. 13hp at about 5000 rpm is insane.
+Ge OgreZA yeah can't wait to test it out 😈😈
How i Envy you right now. Added the Rottweiler stuff on my: "Superduke mods list"
That’s a big number as it came in! Bet it’s transformed it on the road? You go easy with all that power ol timer!🤞👍🏻👏 Nice work as always Chops 👍🏻😎
+ninjanelly350 thanks matey yeah may have to keep the wheelie control on for the first ride 😂😂
Just had mine done, K&N air filter, Bodis de-cat pipe and an Arrow end can got me 175 bhp at the wheel and 109 nm of torque. Mapping will get it over 180.
109Nm of torque? It's supposed to produce 140+ standard. You sure you didn't get it confused with ft lbs?
@@mbpm6135 108.8 ft/lb or 147.5nm so you're right.
Great vid, nice comparison, clear story. Thank you Mr. LCR and Dynojet UK.
Very informative video. Like how we got to see the work being done and the testing handled in a professional manner unlike some dyno runs that are treated like some sort of circus event. Be careful on that bad boy!
+JDMan thanks JD, yeah those guys are great and allways happy to answer questions
Dynojet Boys at Preston are awesome, had my ZX12r sorted by them.
+Dev Jones great arnt they 😎
The triple clamp looks incredible on that color bike!! Nice choice
Well that was all a complete bloody mystery to me 😀
Thoroughly enjoyed that. Very impressive
Well that was interesting to watch, some good gains too! Nice one Chops, thanks.
I love the new intro!! you’re making it hard not to spend money on upgrades for my Superduke!!!
Great upload. Would love to do this to my SDR but it will mean no track time 😞
Would be good to do a drag comparison against my 2017 to see the significant gains in action!
+Jim 86 I'm hoping with the baffle it will pass noise tests for track time.. hope so anyway. Yeah drag race would be cool hehe! 😎😎
I’ve heard from other owners the full system is over 102 static with the baffle, but it does seem to vary.
I pass Loomies regularly in the summer so I’ll goad you into a drag if I spot Bestie!
+Jim 86 oh really.. hmm will have to get it noise tested.. Haha yeah drag race!!
It will be interesting to see the results from noise testing. I’m kind of hoping it’s over 102 or it will cost me a couple of grand in the form of a full system 😉
My Akra Slip-on was 97 with the baffle out. My Daytona 675 was 104 with the bloody baffle in - a fist full of wadding did the trick but it was not ideal.
Nice one chops front tyre wear will be minimal now. Am getting tempted by the super duke gt for a bit of touring.
Great bike Steve, I rode the XR1000 and Ducati Multi to France last week with PB and the GT would be my choice over those still
So excited for mine now! :P
Great video, Chops. I thoroughly enjoyed this!
Thanks Jamie!!
175BHP!!!!!!!!!!!!Trully a BEASTY ;-)
Love it! What a beast! 🏍
I saw what you did at 8:09 A bit of product placement. I am on to you! :P Nice video lambs. I love the nitty griddy things.
I like this kind of content.
haha, that wasn't intentional honest!!
Jesus what a beast!
Awesome, ive been looking forward to this vid.
Wish you had some 1/4 mile times.... to see if it actually made the bike quicker or just smoother to ride . That’s a lot of money for 5hp
Can't wait to see the road riding results. The good old "Bum dyno" if you will.
Lovin' the Marvel style intro 👍
+Rob Campbell thanks Rob 👍
What a weapon. Sounds evil! 😜👌🏻
Wow what a bike. The most brutal naked you can have.
Good choice mate. Best thing i ever done to the RC8
Yeah I think its going to be transformed now! We will have to do another bike swap vid, gutted mine doesnt pop like yours though :-(
yes mate!!! Have you got the SAS valves blanked on yours? That stops the popping.

Random question Lamb Chop, any idea how to get the small grommet from the front brake lever? I'm changing them but I see no way of getting it out! (1290 superduke r) Keep up the great vids mate. Always love them!!
Sorry Vinnie I dont :-(
Lamb Chop Rides done it.... Brute force it seems!!
Very good video to see some knowledgeable tuners working with an amazing setup on a beauty bike with great mods haha!
Makes me want a Duke lol
lol filling in the "dips" in the power curve .... how long does a SD stay in each gear? about .5 seconds?
Nice one Mr. Chops. Your Ian
You can go to 3 different dyno shop and get a difference of 10HP at the rear wheel,Fact
For real, should always do comparison on the same dyno and if possible same conditions. Air temp humidity etc
Beastie is truly one hell of a Beast now!!!
Lovin’it 👊✊✊✊😁👍
Thanks Bruce!! Drag race I think vs the GS hehe, on the road not across the desert, I know what your like!! :-)

Very entertaining! Thanks LCR! 🏍
Nice gains mate, wishing I fitted an ignition controller now 😩
Yeah the Ignition module was a nice little Brucey bonus :-) Sorry had mine done after yours or would have told you to add one.
Lamb Chop Rides gives me something else to do, will add one on the next service 👍
That is a beast, looking forward to see what you think of it on the road, if you think it is a much smoother power delivery.
Yes me too matey, will do a first ride video when the weather improves and the MOT is done
Nice looks like it’s going to be a handful
Very nice n very impressive numbers the power curve is really snooth, im struggling to have my diavel remapped as its a 17 plate it has a new ecu with euro 4 and is apparently locked according to ducati

so happy for you mr Lanb Chop and me i have all that done to my SD but i have removed the cat!!!!!!!!!

Hi Chops...... did you know your dynojet rottie set up is on there web site????.... famous at last!!!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Yeah I did, coool eh :-)
Yeah very cool!!! Fine work Mr Chops.... keep it up dude!!!😆😆
WoW monster! Love the bike! 😢
Just started watching your channel. Great content and style. May I ask how you film your opening bit? Phone camera or all GoPro? Thanks Mr LC!
Injoyed it very interesting thanks LC
That must be a blast to ride with all that grunt. Can you nail it through the gears or would you be looking up at the sky.
Thank you for the Video, i got 2017 SD GT, looking to do cat delete, and add hurricane evolution exhaust.
In your experience - what other components would i need in order to have tge bike run healthy cat-less ?
Yeah I understood about 10% of the video but still liked lol
hehe well suffice to say it was all good news ;-)
You'll feel that dyno graph in the seat of your pants.
You probably want to strap a bike to the Dino, will save wearing the arse out of your jeans. Sitting on the rollers isn’t how it was designed 👍
Great piece of content LCR. Loved it. the Duke is looking damn sexy and mega power to go with it!
Thanks mate :-)
I have the 2014 model with the full Akropovic system. How much per hp to add the air box + power commander. Also do think the auto shifter is useful on the street.
Been watching more channels covering the Rottweiler upgrade. It's making me wonder if KTM should start putting them in standard from the factory?!
Main problem is not having a closed airbox. If you don't keep the filter clean more than regularly, oh get the bike really wet, you may be in for problems. I have a '17 1290 and TBH i don't think i will go for it, power is the least of SD problems. Money better spent on suspensions...
The power would kill to many people/ lawsuits
What’s that bike trailer? Do you know the brand ?
+NanoReef Drop yes it's brilliant www.motolug.com 👍
Hi Chops.. are you using maps for PCV from Rottweiler performance + Dynojet software for the Dyno test?
I have a full akro with KTM maps, I am getting 161.5 whp and mechanic mentioned with PCV & Ignition module I will get 165 whp is that accurate
Fucking hell. The traction control will be on all the time now!!!
How do you like the new triples, have you notice any difference
Total cost for parts and tune please ?
Is that Ex-BTCC driver Frank Wrathall?
+mat pewsey you know what I never knew but just Googled and yes it is!! 😀
Awesome. I can’t belive it did 170 with akra only and std airbox 👍💪. I have almost same setup I’m thinking Rottweiler with akra map..Is that an option? Mr Lamb 😋
Lamb Chop Rides it could be an cheap option
Can't grumble at 175 ATW, gonna be epic 👌💪🏻 Did they do the QS in the end and did they verify if it was spark and / or fuel cut?
+Coldfin9er yeah QS fitted and I asked they set it for fuel only. I can't wait to ride it 😎😎
I bet you looked at their nice freshly painted floor thinking 'mmm ill have some of that' and why dyno it if their going to sort the suspension out ;) Just kidding chops. Great content as always !

Can't comment on the new SD but my experience is that are fine 👍
Also Greg has new 890 R with 5k miles on and zero issues
@@LambChopRides nice that is very up-building 😅👍🏻 Thank you mate
I can comment on the new superduke evo r , it’s amazing, handles great and I’m 4000+ miles on and can not complain, and suuuuuper freaking fast, haven’t found a bike or car to keep up with me yet
@@thatonegreysupra Thanks mate. I bought this exactly model of KTM. So far I had an errors of the suspension which has appeared whe I accidently stalled my bike in the traffic - but the errors has gone after switching off the bike for an hour and turning it back. Nothing else has happened yet so looks promissing 😎👍🏻

I def think I need to get my little 390 on a Dyno now! :-)
+Hippo-Drones yeah I bet you could get some good gains still! Do it 😉
