Not surprising considering it doesn't have the tech pack unlocked... huge oversight literally killing the feel of the bike. Basically neutered without it.
I recently purchased a Stage 2 for my s1000XR deleting the cat. It transformed the bike completely. More power everywhere, no more jerky throttle at low speed, QS is much more precise and the reduced temp was well worth the price of admission. It should really come from the factory that way. These current Euro standards neuter bikes so much nowadays.
I have the EU and I'm having a hard time trying to wheelie this thing, from what I've seen in videos, this thing should wheelie almost in every gear, but I have it in Performance mode, with MSR in 3-4 and AWM off and I have to push it really hard to take the front wheel a couple of inches off the ground. any idea what am I doing wrong, or what settings should I set it to, to free the beast? thanks in advanced
My 2021 1290 R is stock and wheelies very easy in 2nd and even 3rd gear without clutch. That and it looks like it's wobbling more than it should. Maybe the steering is out of spec
Same. I don't understand how he managed to not wheelie this bike. And that wobble... Stop griping the bar handle like it will fly. Mine can wheelie in 4th gear over little bump without clutch and 100% stock.
the owner didn't purchase the tech pack so can't turn off anti-wheelie mode xD. When he said the front wheel is "hovering" that's the wheelie control kickign in and allowing it to stay maybe 6 inches off the ground.
So does my GT (stock with an SC slip on). I wish the tune would quicken up the quick shifter. Stock it is so slow I would call it an auto-shifter, not a quick shifter because I can clutchless shift way faster than that consistently and a quicjshifter shold be faster (more seamless pull) than clutchless. I would trade that feature for pops any day.

The decat pipe also runs quite hot which bothers me. Will your flash tune fix it (I'm assuming its running a bit lean)? I'm not looking to be over-sold on a product, that's my primary issue is cooling off the exhaust. Some improved throttle response and decel pops would be nice to have, but the #1 reason I'm looking for a tune is to get the bike to run cooler. Body position makes a huge difference. My 690 SMs and 1290s all were susceptible unless leaning aggressively forward at the waist. It seemed sitting more upright was unweighting the front too much, and even producing a "sail" effect that unweighted the front even more. Obviously a light grip on the bars is a massive factor too. A tight grip makes head shake worse. Adding preload to the rear can help as well.
I have a 2021 and I love it, but I did the Trackpack before I left the dealer on day one ☝️ he needs the quick shifter and the other things that comes with it 🫡

How anyone gets away with going faster than the speed limit on a bike blows my mind. I go 10mph over and im pulled over. Just got pulled over for the second time. Pissed
A 1000 rpm increase on red line is massive… the piston speed increase on those huge pistons means the loads on the bearings, rods and cap bolts will be extreme… hope the engine stays together. Not something I would do.
I’ve owned the gen2, and a gen3, I’ve found this is fairly typical if holding too tight on the bars/ not relaxed enough. It’s a little surprising that when it’s stock it’s struggling to lift the front. I’m fairly stocky, and both of my gens will lift in 4th if sitting upright, and brutally lifts the front in 3rd

What is the point of tuning the bike that has it's basic features locked? What do you mean "no quick shifter." On gen 3 Superduke?! You've got to be kidding! So you spend thousands on tuning and skimp a few hundreds on unlocking performance package?
No, it's the geometry of the bike. It's a little longer than it really should be but is more or less eliminated by holding the bars lightly. Most of the headshake is the rider. The geometry is fixed two ways: raising rear ride height or if you have a little money you can put a SuperDukeD adjustable triple on it and pull the wheel in a bit... more of a racing requirement, I find the stock bike handles quite well. Forcing myself to hold the bars lightly made me a better rider as well.
Maybe so but most don't ride flat just saying a timed pull low revs in high gear to see pick up from low revs which most would use or maybe another ktm side by side comparison.. Great vids tho😂
