Thanks for listening&watching! The 2nd Oboist is not playing in this concerto. She played in my encore piece "Bluebells of Scotland". And she wanted to listen in front of me when we are during concerto ;-)
I used to play trumpet, but had a Bb tuba at home as a "toy", I always loved showing people how it would make our windows rattle. In fact, everything in the house rattled, and even continued to rattle for a while after ceasing playing a note.
Really came through with a beautifully somber tone quality. Really enjoyed the cadenza and again, the beautiful tone which shined through in the second movement. Really crisp with the 16th notes and superb control in the upper register. This is a challenging piece, but well performed! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
An E flat and F tuba (like this one) are considered bass tubas whereas a CC and BB flat tubas are called contraband tubas, so bass tuba is correct in this case.
As a tuba player I can confidently say this is the most beautiful tuba playing I’ve ever listened to. it just makes me happy
Andrew Jacobs did it better in my opinion. Regardless, still phenomenal
@@mauithedemigod189 ANDREW JACOBS LOL
Makes me wanna get better

Thanks mate!
Are you studying with Jim? Norm? or who else?
Good Luck for your musician/tubist life!
this SLAYS! lots of tubists 'play' the VW with technical perfection, but not many manage to make it a musical pleasure to listen to like you do :)
This is an Excellent concert, well done by the soloist and the orchestra as well.
I'm not much in this kinda music but I'm impressed. If I close my eyes the quality is excellent.
日本人奏者のRVWコンチェルトの中では藤田さんの演奏が一番好き

Among composers who wrote tuba concertos, there's John Williams and there's Vaughan Williams.
vaughan williams did a better job to me but they both were excellent
C'mon, that's just a Hindemyth...
Of all the performances of this piece on You Tube this is my favourites - beautiful tone and expression.
when I tell you that tuba sounds heal your soul, I wasn't joking
I LOVE the tuba so much
Technical precision and very melodic!!
Starting to love tuba after this video~
Thanks Youtuba
I remember this video coming out when I was in middle/high school. I wonder where this young man is now
A number of the tuba pieces are not played brilliantly. This one is.
found my solo and ensemble solo (possibly a song for the end of the year concert)
Fucking FINALLY we get the melody.
wow tuba rocks
I love the tuba
Hidehiro Fujita!!!!
respect
最高すぎる…...
That poor oboe player... did she get to play any of the concert?
+Nick Lukefahr It's sorta ironic cause usually the tuba player is in her spot
Yeah, no 2nd oboe part... Kind of odd.

第1楽章 自分用です。。
i play a cornet but even i know this is astonishing
It takes a lot of skill to make a tuba sound like a French horn wow
I think you just aren't familiar with the sound of a tuba or french horn. He sounds like a very good bass tuba, not a French horn.
@@PeterGriffin-kb2hf he is talking about when the notes are olayed very high
@@riverchaney5488 still nothing like a French horn
Bass tuba not contrabass tuba but still you’re right it goes high
Hai hidetube you are very good In Fact excellent very dynamically talented Tuba player
1000000/1000000.!!!!!

Where can I find this arrangement? It’s for a contest
I believe its Bass Tuba Concerto in F Minor: II. Romanza. Andante sostenuto
Who is the arranger of this arrangement?
누구지,,
Wrong note at 2:03
Is that a B flat tuba?
B&S JBL classic F tuba
No wonder I can't make notes as high as that sound good I'm on a BBb
@@Luis-jv7iktrue but the ɓb flat is the deep soul and provides the POWER
He cracked a note, its not DANK enough
And also not clear in the beginning if the cadenza. Cracked like 4 notes
calling it a bass tuba is the same as calling it a tuba tuba or a bass bass!

A tuba sounds like a fart!
