I prefer the Venue. I like the higher seating position, the better visibility, the smoother transmission, and the lack of turbo-lag. I also prefer the friendlier styling. Everything seems to be styled so angry these days. I just wish the Venue were a little bit longer for better rear legroom and cargo space.

    Good comparison.
I adore the Hyundai Venue, it is so freindly looking. Props to Hyundai for hitting the nail on the head with it, I just wish the Active was still available in manual and 'smartsense' was optional.
    Adorable looking nonetheless.

Very informative video and easy to understand. Love that it concentrates on the practicality of the cars, not just the bells and whistles. We are looking at buying our daughter a car in this size/type/price market so it has been extremely helpful.

I love the way you can lower the boot level in the Venue to make the boot deeper.

The best review I have ever seen on the Venue.
My wife and I live in Canada, on the West Coast and love how this little 2023 beauty drives.
Our previous vehicle was a 2018 Volkswagen Venue Highline and hated the vehicle.
With its turban lag, the worst transmission on any vehicle we have ever owned (the damn thing never knew what fecking gear to be in) we hated it.
For us, the Venue Ultimate (top of the line in Canada) is an excellent choice, and we don't miss the heavy, over priced Tiguan a bit.
    Cheers 😎

Love this video! These are two cars I stumbled on and ended up trying to decide between. The stonics definitely seem to be more popular, its hard to find any in stock but i personally think i prefer the deive of the Venue. I just cant get over the price difference (cheapest o xan find the base model Venue is $27k yet I can get the Sport model Syonic for $28.5k). Kias longer warranty and offer for 12 months rego is definitely more appealing also.

very informative, but I would like to see if the seats fold down completely flat and how much room it gives you.

In a world where manufacturers are obsessed with horrible CVT autos I like that both of these come with a 6 speed manual.

Driving a manual mostly I prefer a dual clutch transmission in town as long as you’re not expecting a conventional automatic slip that whilst it may be smoother if you drive like the accelerator is an on off switch, I take pleasure in knowing that in a dual clutch transmission 100% of drive is direct to the wheels with no power wastage. It requires a different driving style similar to a manual transmission car yes but ultimately more satisfying. I’d take the Stonic without question if was my choice.

Our Hyundai Elite is a beautiful car to drive. We use 98 high octane fuel that gives us 6.2 per 100 k using Echo mode same as our Getz. Elite has all the bells and whistles and you just don't want to get out of it. Amazing car. All lights are snow white not yellow. Boxy??? come on man. The seats and stitching is amazing and so comfortable and hug you like recaro seats would. Same engine as the 1.6ltr Getz start off by letting the car quickly get into 3rd gear and away you go. Sunroof is amazing and side weather yields front and back matching car mats and dash mat. Front windows tinted. Ceramic coating. Too many options to mention still reading the Hyundai bible they give you in a leather binder. The visibility is amazing. This car can move very smartly on 98 you just need to know how to use it. I can't understand under powered not true on 98. No city driving for us we go everywhere and just watch your speed the thing will get away on you. $315 service correct. We are driving a Elite we are speaking from experience.

I have a 2014 i30, and it's radio began dying a couple of weeks ago. It sounds like it can't tune precisely to the carrier frequency of the broadcast station. I'm saddened to learn that Hyundai still can't get a decent radio. Do they import them from North Korea?

Is the DCT in the stonic of a similar characteristic to the DSG in the 110tsi golf? Just as a point of reference

I am the happy owner of a Venue. The reviewer does not mention the Kia requires premium (expensive) fuel. The reviewer accurately outlined all the Venue's attributes. I am 6' 4" and the Venue satisfies all my current requirements. I understand however, that it wouldn't suit everyone.

I own Stonic GT and No it doesn't require premium (expensive) fuel. That's a lie. E10 does is fine.
The turbo makes a big difference and it feels like a hot hatch.

@@vishdahiya4902Hi, the GT sounds an awesome little vehicle. My wife’s son picks his XT up next week. The Stonic looks a lot of fun. The down side of DT clutch is obviously bumper to bumper driving, but on a little road trip and mild city traffic the Stonic should be just fine.
      Cheers NZ.

Either car is fine for yesterday’s technology. An electric car/SUV is the only way to go. Try an Ioniq 5 AWD Ltd and it’ll very hard to match.
I know it’s 3x the price but why not get the future now if it’s a tolerable spend. The difference is massive between the pair tested and an Ioniq 5.
